Terrible product
Terrible product. “Professionally” applied oil and butter to a worktop. It’s completely unsuitable and provides no protection at all. Very poor product and a very expensive mistake. Wish I’d read more reviews, eg on Reddit, first!

Odie's Universal Oil is a truly incredible product!
I am an amateur woodworker and have experimented with a variety of different finishes. Odie's Universal Oil is by far the best finish I've encountered. It is extremely versatile.
I particularly like that one can choose the ultimate gloss obtained by sanding to different grit. On my most recent project I sanded a cherry coffee table to 3,000 grit and achieved a beautiful, deep, lustrous shine. I have also used it with less sanding and achieved a beautiful matte finish that again brings out the wood's essence beautifully. It avoids the "plasticy", artificial sheen of urethane coatings.
It is also such a pleasure to apply - it feels good and smells good unlike so many other finishes. And you don't have to "gear up" with breathing filtration and hazmat gear!
Finally, I found their customer support to be excellent. I put in a call and got a quick response by text from Matthew, who gave me his number so we could have both a text and phone conversation, exchange pictures, etc. That kind of customer service is very welcome (and rare in my experience).
I am eager to try some of the other Odie's products given my fantastic experience with their "Universal Oil".
In summary, I can't recommend Odie's highly enough.
