Pros:
Clean, modern, and easy-to-use interface
Well-laid-out design compared to legacy ERPs
Large app ecosystem for extended functionality
Open API enables customization and third-party integrations
Cons:
Weak implementation and training quality
Out-of-the-box core ERP functionality lacks depth
Very limited EDI capabilities
Shipping and receiving features are underdeveloped
Pricing formulas are overly basic
Feels more like a framework than a finished ERP
Implementation Experience:
Odoo could not support customer shipping accounts, a standard ERP feature, requiring a custom third-party integration built using the open API. This effort took approximately three months and cost thousands of dollars for functionality commonly included in other ERP systems.
Response times from account management and implementation teams were slow, and frequent staff turnover caused delays and rework during our year-long implementation.
There was also a consistent reluctance to get on live calls to resolve issues quickly. Problems that could have been addressed in a short call often turned into lengthy email chains over several days, adding unnecessary friction and delays. Overall, the organization appears understaffed relative to the complexity of implementations they are supporting.
Overall:
Odoo has strong potential due to its UI and flexibility, but reaching enterprise-level functionality requires significant customization, third-party development, and internal effort. Best suited for companies with strong internal technical resources—and implementation timelines and expectations should be set far more conservatively than what is initially presented.
I have only had an initial sales meeting so far

Such a worst CRM service provider.
This company does not have a proper office and seems to operate from undisclosed locations.
They don't even have an option to review them on google.
We were completely misled by them. When contacted for CRM services, they gave a presentation but hid the client’s basic requirements. Once the payment was done, they stopped responding to calls.
They force customers into yearly subscriptions and provide no support afterward.
People looking for CRM services, please be aware — this company runs a scam in the name of a CRM service provider.
Vishu,Anjana and Darshik, all these people after we said the issue just stopped responding without any accountability.
Odoo is just an online SCAM,
totally do not recommend this to anyone

Odoo’s software may be decent, but the customer support is very poor.
Calls are often unanswered, and you are usually redirected to customer support without any real help.
Even after contacting a manager, there is no resolution—you are sent back to the same support team again. The support staff often lacks proper knowledge and mostly asks users to watch videos instead of providing solutions.
Conclusion:
Use Odoo only if you are ready to learn everything on your own. Do not expect reliable or practical support, even after escalation.

Revolutionary
I am so satisfied with everything they offer

Be very careful of price scamming. They are pushing you to buy 2-year subscriptions by force. Threatening by blocking databases all the time, with short notice periods.
Example: you exceed the space by a few MB, so you have to pay more - naturally. However, during summer you'll get "pay within 2 weeks or all your users will be blocked" and similar. They probably never go to holiday. Our employees thought we're not paying invoices or something.
As a CFO I've never seen such violent ways to collect money as here. After 3 years we managed to migrate out of Odoo completely and we're very lucky we managed to do so.

I have used this tool after watching a reel on social media about it. Mostly I used this for having smoother payment tracking. Support team is very prompt with their response. They helped me to set-up my site and accounts.

Paid them around $15,000+ to get my company setup on the system and to subscribe to the platform for a year.
$9,000 was non-refundable which was the setup fee.
But once the setup started I realised it was actually just a few tutorial meetings and all the work associated with setting up the program, the actual, difficult database stuff, was completely up to me.
Their $9,000 setup fee was basically just 10 tutorial videos to guide me through setting the thing up.
The problem with this is as a director I did not have the time to go through and test and create the databases for logistics to get it working. I tried to figure some things out but 6 months later I realised it was not going to work as they did not want to actually put in any real effort into getting it done
They refused the $9,000 refund and eventually after many emails they agreed to partially refund the subscription.
In the end I paid them $15k+ and got back $5k. But all I got out of the situation was 4 tutorial meeting, a bunch of wasted time, and a headache
This program are so user unfriendly. The worst is the back-up service. Non existent!!!! and then the tele assistant does not know anything. No help with setup. Still struggling after 10 months!!

We have been trying to sign up to Odoo since our financial year end in October. It is now December.
During this time, I have emailed multiple times and repeatedly tried to contact our assigned consultant and sales contact. I have had no proper response at all. No follow up, no explanation, nothing.
I also reached out to another member of the Odoo team, assuming this was an isolated issue. The experience was exactly the same.
If this is the level of communication before you are even a customer, it raises serious concerns about what support would be like once you are committed to the platform. For software that sits at the centre of finance and operations, this is unacceptable and worrying.
Based on this experience alone, I would advise other businesses to think carefully before choosing Odoo.
As a Canadian digital marketing agency CEO, I am super frustrated with Odoo. Its customer support is super poor. Its phone call setup system is a nightmare. You are forced to use Axivox to make calls on Odoo but Axivox demands 250 Euros just to open a simple online account and 30 euros every month just for nothing. So, never ever! Stay away from Odoo.
We have been using Odoo for a year. Recently I sent them an email mentioning that we were interested in changing to an annual plan to get developer access so that we can build modules more efficiently. 1 weeks later they notified me they were going to increase monthly prices by 20% unless we went annual, pure bully tactics. After some back and forth, they continued to be unhelpful. Offering yearly subscription at rates that don't even come close to their introductory rates. And zero flexibility on price because we are too small of a customer, or it needs upper management approval. I will champion a product if they treat me well. Odoo really needs to rethink their support experience for paying customers. I may not easily be able to leave the system, but I can stop referring, and go to platforms like this. We are not asking for anything beyond what they offer to new user signups in terms of price. Stay away if you hate dealing with garbage customer service. The worst part of it was the bully pricing. (Recommendation to Odoo would be to implement NPS so that they can avoid rogue account execs). The software is fantastic, the customer service is forcing me to look for other options.
After signing up for Odoo, we quickly realized that the platform was far more complex than initially expected. When we reached out for assistance, support was extremely difficult to access.
As a result, we decided not to renew our subscription. Shortly after, we began receiving hundreds of bounced email notifications from Odoo, which seriously impacted our production systems. When I contacted support via chat, they finally acknowledged the issue and had to make changes on the backend to resolve it. Unfortunately, the same problem occurred 4 more times afterward.
When I escalated the issue to our account manager, her only response was that we needed to renew our subscription to stop the bounced emails, despite the fact that I had already made it clear that we were not planning to renew.
Overall, this has been a very poor experience. I do not recommend Odoo based on our support and post-cancellation experience.
Clear communication. Listened to the problem and quickly came with a good solution.

Hi,
I have been facing a lot of issues since I started the plan. Initially, I opted for the basic plan, and I was assured that I would receive complete assistance from your end. My business advisor, Mr. Karan Saini, misrepresented the plan while selling it to me, and most of the time he does not respond on time.
I feel that I have wasted my money, and I would not recommend this service to anyone. I truly regret subscribing to this plan.
Christelle is helped a lot to fix our reset to reconciled line
Thank you just for your support, always so quick and precise.

Odoo is without doubt the biggest mistake I ever made as a business owner.
The offer is tempting. Open source, low cost, customizable, affordable.
But the reality, especially as a small business owner, is totally different.
This is NOT a DIY / figure it out for yourself type of software. I'm a fairly tech-savvy guy, but this thing is a whole new level in terms of complexity and options. The UX is unintuitive, it's about 20,000x more complicated than it needs to be, and now that I am trying to leave I've been waiting THREE WEEKS for them to send me a backup of my data (because of a tech issue I am unable to self serve and download it myself).
The only reason I was able to keep it around as long as we did is because we had a consultant helping us operate it.
Even after 2 years of optimization and trying to get it to do what I want, I still have no f'ing idea.
Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this if you are a small business owner. Plenty of other ERP/IMS tools out there who care about customer experience and product design. These guys do not.
My experience with Odoo has been nothing short of frustrating and unprofessional. I signed up with high expectations, believing their system would help streamline my business, but it quickly turned into a complete waste of time and money.
From the beginning, I was handed from one person to another with no real support, no guidance, and absolutely no follow-through. The salesperson who initially onboarded me made several promises about support and implementation, but once I signed, he disappeared. I was then left chasing different “account managers” who either ignored me or told me someone else would contact me “next week.” They never did.
After months of trying to get help, Odoo now claims that because I didn’t purchase their implementation services, they “can’t take responsibility” for my failed setup. Yet no one told me this at the beginning, and their sales pitch made it seem like it would be simple and fully supported. They hide behind contract technicalities instead of owning the fact that they failed to provide the level of service they advertised.
To make things worse, even after acknowledging poor communication, they still refused a refund—despite me never receiving the service I paid for in a functional way. The system itself was confusing, buggy, and impossible to configure without expert help. And the “support” team was basically useless.
