NVMe SSD warranty

I purchased an ADATA SX6000PNP NVMe SSD as part of order #8824997 in July 2024. The drive developed bad sectors and a media integrity error within the EU statutory 2-year guarantee period — a clear manufacturing defect.

When I contacted Odroid to initiate an RMA, they responded that the order is "no longer covered under their RTB Warranty" and referred me to the manufacturer directly.

This response ignores EU consumer law (Directive 2019/771), which gives consumers a minimum 2-year statutory right against the seller — not the manufacturer — for goods that do not conform to the contract. Odroid sells actively to EU customers via odroid.nl with euro pricing, and cannot rely on their own internal warranty policy to override statutory consumer rights.

I have since submitted a formal written notice asserting my EU statutory rights. The dispute remains unresolved.

Buyers in the EU should be aware that Odroid is a UK-based company (Odroid Ltd, Wolverhampton) and that post-purchase support for defective goods may require escalation beyond their standard warranty process.

As expected, but delivery to France took 13 days.

I've ordered an Odroid N2+ from odroid.nl. Package arrived well and everything is working as expected. This company ships from the UK, so expect a long delay if you're in the EU. My order took 13 days to arrive in France.
Helpdesk responded fairly well to e-mail. I received 2 replies to 3 e-mails, both within 3 hours.
