Lost parcel

I ordered a pair of shoes - that weren't cheap at all - from this online store Offcuts, and days ago the delivery company - Yodel - emailed me saying it had been delivered, but I haven't received anything yet. I contacted Yodel via online chat and they said they couldn't find any record of my order. The only channel to speak with Offcuts is via email, which I tried but haven't had any success getting an answer. Could the company please say where my parcel is or give my money back?

I cannot believe this is the first time…

I cannot believe this is the first time I've seen the reviews and I've just read 5+ about Yodel.

The parcel was marked as "Hand to resident" and was due to be delivered on Monday 2nd March. The parcel was marked as delivered after 8pm on Saturday 28th February with no photo, I wasn't in. I contacted Yodel who begrudgingly sent me a photo of a grey plastic wrapper on top of a bush with no label on, impossible to tell if this was mine or not. My partner and I searched all over the building and found nothing. Yodel investigated after 72 hours and told me they couldn't locate the parcel or any evidence it had been delivered. I emailed Offcuts on 1st March and didn't get a reply from them until I chased several days later. We're now on day 10, my shoes are still missing, I've had to chase Offcuts several times, they assured me I'd get an update no later than day 8, they've emailed me in the early hours this morning asking me to wait 10 working days to fill a form out and then return it to them no later than 5 working days after I've recieved it???????

They've been told if I don't have confirmation of a refund or replacement by 5pm today I'm completing a chargeback with my bank. If any of you paid by debit card, you only have 120 days to do this so you need to do it quick. I'm not going to keep waiting for Offcuts to keep ignoring me and let the timescale run out. This is my 2nd order and I will never be ordering again and encourage you all to read the reviews first as there's a 50/50 chance you'll even get your shoes and Offcuts are not willing to listen to feedback about Yodel. WE'RE PAYING A PREMIUM FOR SHIPPING. WE DESERVE TO CHOOSE WHO HANDLES OUR PARCELS.

Great experience

Was a bit dubious about ordering, but had a great experience. Bought 2 pairs of Adidas Handball Spezials both graded as 'Great condition' for a decent price. They arrived today via Yodel. One came in an Adidas box (a bit dented), the other in a generic Office box. The trainers themselves seem absolutely fine to me, I checked them over and couldn't see any imperfections or fading. I reckon they might have been tried on once or twice at the most. Really happy with my bargains and would order again.

Yodel stole shoes and I was accused of making it up

I have in the past had a positive experience with offcuts - when my parcels have arrived with product inside the box. However I received and empty shoe box, which at the time I should have challenged the yodel delivery driver as felt suspiciously lightweight. I thought I’m best taking up the issue with office as starting an argument with a delivery driver would achieve nothing. At the time of opening the box I assumed it had been repackaged by yodel as did not believe an empty shoebox could have left the warehouse as worked in retail for years myself. I did not notice at the time of opening that the side of the package had been carefully cut open and resealed with clear tape. (Bare in mind I had just worked a night shift and was half asleep) As I had stated in many back and forth emails with office customers service the package had not been tampered with as this is what I believed to be true, I then went back to assess the packaging and realised it had been cut and resealed, I was then basically accused of lying about the missing shoes even though I provided ample evidence to support my case because the delivery driver took a photo of me receiving the parcel conveniently so that you could not see the tampered with bag. I’ve lost out on shoes and money but more so I am devastated that I am not believed to be telling the truth, I am honest person who does not need to lie and steal I can afford to buy trainers when I need them I just specifically wanted some black new balance for work and found them on the site, this has really put me off buying from office again, stop using yodel they are crooks.

Bargain Trainers


I was a bit sceptical at first because of the reviews, but I’m absolutely buzzing with my purchase. Picked up a pair of OnCloud trainers that retail at £130 for just £90, in my size and in perfect condition despite having a lower rating. Shipping was immediate and everything was spot on from start to finish. I’m over the moon with them and will definitely be using Off Cuts again.

I purchased some trainers for my…

I purchased some trainers for my daughter for Christmas but she didn’t like them so spent £6.99 to return 1st class. I sent them back on 2nd January they received them on the 5th. I didn’t get an email to say they had received them nothing! So after emailing a couple of times with no response I opened a PayPal case as I paid with PayPal. They are now saying that to process my refund I need to close the case, if I close the case I’m not protected and can’t reopen once closed. I don’t understand why they won’t just refund me through the PayPal case as this is how it’s done. So now it’s the 20th jan and still haven’t received my money back the trainers were just over £100!

Poor communication, just want to get rid of stock

Ordered some Birkenstocks from offcuts a few weeks ago , I obviously wasn't't expecting fast shipping with it being over the festive period . I received my order , I contacted offcuts to inform them that there was visible glue on the sandal and the colour difference . It took several days to receive any consistent communication then suddenly no response to if I had to pay for the return or offcuts would therefore , I emailed again no response for over 24 hours so just decided to pay for the postage myself . At this point no one actually addressed my concern until I re emailed again to be told the shoes were graded good . (I do not feel they were) . They now have received my return no acknowledgment of this until again I emailed to ask what was happening with my return to be met with will we will process in a few days . Not acceptable to have such ambiguity from a big company. I honestly would not use or recommend. They just want to off load the products and take your money.

We can see that your return was received on 9th January and refunded on 14th January which is our standard five-day processing timeframe.

In regards to your order, we graded these as "Good" based on our parameters in relation to their cosmetic appearance. As by default, their functional status will be perfect, otherwise we will not list those products. We noted and advised that the images of the issue you experienced with the product were clearly documented in the product images on the listing page.

However, we appreciate your feedback and will look into this further to see what can be improved upon.

Fabulous shoes

Have in the past had some lovely shoes…

Have in the past had some lovely shoes from office, my issue as with some other customers is with Yodel who delivered my parcel to a refuse bin no where near my house consequently I never received my goods. However customer service is appalling e mails not answered, or fobbed off with we are investigating this missing order. Five weeks have passed and still no refund, I am out of pocket for £80.00 plus postage. So not a satisfied customer.

Sent odd shoes and 6 week wait for refund!

Usually love Offcuts but this has been severely marred with recent experience-sent odd shoes and still waiting for a refund 6 weeks after being promised one! Over 15 emails sent, repeatedly being asked to send proof (have done this several times). Going round and round in circles.
In breach of consumer law!

Offcuts are GREAT, Yodel is NOT

Offcuts are GREAT! The products are really not a problem. I love most of the trainers I buy from Offcuts. The problem is that Offcuts and Office use Yodel for cheapness, and Yodel persistently let me down. The reason I’m giving one star is so that Office/Offcuts might one day take notice and stop using Yodel as their courier. Yodel will not leave a parcel on your doorstep if you’re not in and there is no option to change this. All other couriers will.
On this occasion, I got my trainers delivered to a parcel shop, miles away from my home (because Yodel have barely any parcel shops now) who first of all said they couldn’t find my parcel, also claiming their Yodel scanner was broken. When they found it, because I refused to give up, having been sent the email to say they were delivered there, they then refused to give it to me 🤣 I took the parcel and stomped out the shop. Yodel’s rubbish broken-down system is not my problem, but Offcuts/Office CAN change their courier to Evri or better still Royal Mail.

Try it, it’s real

I recently bought three different pairs of Adidas Samba OG trainers. They were dispatched within 48 hours, tracked with Yodel and arrived in excellent condition - no sign of being display etc. After reading reviews here I was worried about ordering but can honestly say they were amazing and excellent value.

Utterly Incompetent!!

Open Letter to Offcuts & Yodel – 7 Weeks, No Trainers, No Refund

(See my previous complaint dated 06 August this is a follow up 7 weeks later)

I placed an order with Offcuts on 23 July 2025 (Order #292052 – £158.99 for 3 pairs of trainers). The delivery was handled by Yodel (Tracking: JD0002249571191256).

Yodel returned my parcel a day before the collection deadline. I raised a formal complaint immediately. Offcuts told me they would resend the items once the parcel was returned.

It is now 2 October — more than 7 weeks later — and I have received neither the trainers nor a refund. I have also received no confirmation that Offcuts ever received the parcel back, despite Yodel confirming it was returned on 06 August.

What’s worse is the way this has been handled:

Offcuts customer service ignored clear facts I provided in writing.

I was falsely told the parcel is still “on its way back” – even though it was returned 2 months ago.

I’ve been asked multiple times whether I want a refund or redelivery – despite already making it clear I want a refund.

Yodel and Offcuts have deflected responsibility back and forth instead of resolving the issue.

I’ve now issued a final demand: if I do not receive a full refund today, I will be pursuing legal action through the Small Claims Court, submitting complaints to Trading Standards and Resolver, and publishing this experience widely.

Customers deserve better than this. This has been a total failure in communication, accountability, and service.
