Fraud Alert: PHISHING disguised as hosting
This is a fake web host, set up to confiscate credit card numbers. They lock your credit card into their system so you can't remove it, and they bill you every month, ignoring all tickets to cancel and refund. First two months (May and June 2024), they hit me up for $12 each month. Month three (July 2024), they hit my bank account for over $1000.00 CAD. The "service" is supposedly web hosting, but it's always marked "Pending". This prevents you from cancelling, as you can only cancel an ACTIVE service. Your credit card is locked in, there's no way to remove it. They just keep pumping money out of your bank account.
Of course, when they hit my bank account for over a thousand, I contacted my bank, Tangerine VISA Debit PHISHING department. I provided them with full documentation and my login and pass, and got all my money back inside of 72 hours, in the form of THREE "dispute" credits.
If you sign up with OffshoreLite by mistake, you should immediately cancel your payment method, whatever your card is that's attached, and replace it; and have your bank recover any funds taken from you, pronto, before they hit your bank account for big money.
OffshoreLite is NOT A REAL WEB HOST, it's PHISHING disguised as a webhost. So, you should clarify to your bank or credit card company that it's purely PHISHING, no hosting involved, as phishing is treated differently... and possibly more quickly if you have documented the situation.
