Wholesale Gas Prices are lower than…

Wholesale Gas Prices are lower than they were this time last year! And yet Ofgem still allow the energy companies to make loads of money. They are clearly a organization that need replacing and the price needs to be set by a members of public run body separate to the power companies and the Government. Just another example of corruption at the highest level.

Corrupt

Absolute joke of an organisation. With energy companies posting record profits these faceless clowns still try and justify lifting the price caps. As corrupt as the Tory party and no doubt in bed with them as well. Kickbacks galore.

this regulator is absolutely worthless

this regulator is absolutely worthless, i cannot think of one good or constructive thing it has achieved since its creation i can only remeber how many times they have defended the energy firms even though their remit is to protect the consumer. they continue to fail at the most basic level and the corruption was easy to see when they decided to increase prices 4 times a year instead of twice, wages only ever go up once a year, prices never come back down by any significant amount, last price drop gave me a reduction of just £8 for the year, Ofgem have failed in every aspect of their remit and have chosen to attack the consumer instead of the high profits by the energy producers, the separation of supply and production (on paper only) has allowed Ofgem and the energy firms to lie about the costs and suggest suppliers make little profit, but this is because the profits are made at the point of sale to the supply side it is a deliberate way to be able to avoid the normal accusations of profiteering even though they continue to profiteer it has just been moved to another part of the business to give Regulator another excuse to do nothing, just look at Centrica and British Gas.
Example :British Gas generated 115 million British pounds in profits from domestic energy supply in 2022,
Centrica posted a huge rise in first-half profit, Its adjusted operating profit for the first six months of 2022 rose to 1.34 billion pounds.
Ofgem are part of the problem they have never been on the side of the taxpayers and hard working people of the UK they are just another layer of protection to ensure that energy firms make more profit.

Ofgen part of british gas

Whilst british gas are constantly ripping people off, cancelling appointments, failing to answer phones, failing to do repairs, creating other faults, fail to give people the money government has promised. Ofgen fail to do anything about it. Ofgen think everything british gas is doing is acceptable. Its acceptable to prevent people having gas and heating in winter or throughout the year, its ok for british gas to increase peoples direct debits without permission of the customer. Its ok for british gas to put people in debt so they can then force entry to their homes

People will die!!!

Helping the government by bringing the country to its knees. Apparently there to help with regulating fuel bills? Well you certainly aren’t doing that? So why are you still even going as a company that can not fulfil your obligations? Lies! £12 per day gas, disabled son and baby at home with gas bill £350 a month. Getting into debt financially, not paying rent and trying to afford Christmas. Who is going to step in before people die through ill health or take their own lives through depression? You need to change things, and fast

Would give no stars if I could.
Ofgem is absolutely useless at administering the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme. I have experienced missed payments, no replies to emails, emails intended for someone else sent to me, all with nobody to take responsibility. They are a law unto themselves and the whole outfit is run for the benefit of the staff!

Why is there no complaints procedure and why are they allowed to squander tax payers money without question? Each Audit must cost fortunes and they request the same documents over and over!

What is the point of Ofgem

What is the point of Ofgem? The government has to set the price of energy. The companies they regulate and check have all gone bust, leaving the consumer to pay their debts. They dont even answer the phone, they forward all their calls to Citizen Advice.

I do hope the public don’t pay OFGEM salaries because I would like a refund of my taxes if that’s the case

Ofgem and Ombudsman Services could not care less

I had the misfortune to have Neo Energy as my supplier of electricity.
This totally incompetent company has been allowed by Ofgem to operate as an unlicensed White Label supplier until it eventually kicked them out of the market.
However, Neo is not yet bust and is still issuing bills based on invented charges.
But now Ofgem and Ombudsmen Services will not get involved in any complaints and are quite happy to wash their hands of the legacy problems they have allowed to develop.
Neo have even cancelled a decision previously made by Ombudsman Services in my favour and accepted by them. Ombudsman Services are not concerned about this either.
And they will not reply to my emails
So from the energy customer's perspective what use are these two quangos?
It sickens me to read Ofgem's online mission statement:
"We work to protect energy consumers, especially vulnerable people, by ensuring they are treated fairly and benefit from a cleaner, greener environment"

Ofgem are the Cancer of society along with the utility companies. Oh the rotting stench of corporate greed and corruption. Ofgem reward the CEO's of their own circus and the utility companies for failure. This world runs on greed. They are a shining example. The Government should do more,... but hey folks these silver spooned rich knobs are all cut from the same cloth. I sincerely hope Karma goes full circle and these greedy filthy pigs suffer as we are. I am with Bulb , which is renewable...but my energy is linked to gas prices irrespective of being 100% renewable. Our system is broken and outdated. These intemperate greedy companies exponentially profit from us.
