I was transferring money from Australia to South Korea. I thought the process would be seamless as I had used OFX to transfer money to Malaysia earlier in the year with no problems. I provided all the information required; received a call from OFX compliance and went through process and answered all their questions. The funds were taking a long time to be processed so I called to ask why. I was given an update and thought all was fine. I then received another phone call asking the same compliance questions and more. I understand AML and I had given information that fulfilled that obligation. The questions were intrusive and not required but I answered them. In conclusion most of my request was paid after 5 days yet one amount was not paid for some unknown reason as it was to the same recipient and bank account. It has now been 9 days since I commenced the process. I will not use OFX again.

Only a $220 transfer to thailand was held back for days as they wanted the birth date of recipient. It took them days to notify me. I send the date asap and now have to wait again a few days for them to send my money. No sense of urgency here. Just bureaucratic BS.
Pay a bit more and get it done in a professional way asap.

Richard Redwood went above and beyond from the start of my transaction to the very end. I had a large order I had to place and it took a few transfers during the course of a few days in which he over sae from the very start before the order was placed, during each payment, and until the very end. I was super nervous transferring such a large amount with. Short timeframe for the sale and purchase of property from AUD to USD but Richard put me at ease at every phone call and went above and beyond emailing me to update me during the transactions. If anyone deserves a HUGE bonus, pay rise and acknowledgement for employee of the year it’s Richard! I couldn’t be more thankful for his help during my move and this transaction. Thank you, Richard!

A lot better than XE but still very slow. No, that would be an offence to someone slow. You are like flies in a pool of tar. Transfer should take no more than an hour these days. Wise, before turning full commust, did it under 10 minutes! However you are on a path to improve further I hope.

Before I decided to use OFX for my first time, I checked the reviews, it sounds good, and my friend also recommended me that it can be trusted. Then when it comes to me, it was my first time that got treated like I am a criminal. They called and asked me 3 times over the phone for the security purposes on the same questions over 1 transaction, then emailed me a couple of time for bank statement security verification, then wait for 1 week, nothing TT to my family, then they emailed me again for more questions over a USD 200 transaction. I wanted to do the TT testing first to see how quick and safe to TT to my family before i decided to do higher amount. But this the worst experience that I never met before. I requested them to refund back, then again they asked me to send all related bank details along with payment documents before they can do refund back. lucky I can provide them all documents to get my money back. Otherwise even USD 200 might be gone too.

UK dealers were great bar one. The aus team seemed more jnr and gave wrong info and ended up costing high price in constant calls
The callback service doesn't work and rings for half a second so never expect a callback
The overall rate and sending service was good, fast and efficient
Getting good customer service or dealers is more luck than guaranteed

This was our first time using OFX to transfer money overseas. As it was a fairly large transaction we were a little nervous. Everyone we spoke with was extremely helpful and explained the process clearly and patiently. We did a test transfer first just to make sure we had all the account details correct.
Using OFX rather than a bank saved us thousands of dollars as there exchange rates are much better. Can’t recommend OFX highly enough, will certainly use them again in the future.

I already had an account i had used several times in the past several years ago and they said i needed to have a verbal conversation by telephone to use it again, which was slightly annoying but might have been ok if they were efficient about it - for almost a week now I have sent daily messages to them to call me back but they don't seem to give a shit - calling at random times with no warning or schedule, when i can't answer the phone, so i have been unable to transfer funds in a timely manner. Absolutely useless performance - if they can't even organize a basic phone call what else cant they get right? I will use another company.

I have been with OFX for over 10 years and since July 25 OFX introduced a new system, which has many flaws in it. Poor service when you ring for assistance.
Some staff are very helpful others do not want to assist you and they put you on hold and transfer you to a message bank. None of the issues i have raised have been addressed. What was a great experience using OFX is on longer the case.
