Our experience with Okavango Delta Explorations was outstanding. We worked closely with Louise FitzGerald through email and video conferencing over the course of several months to craft our Botswana safari and stays in Victoria Falls and Johannesburg. Louise was flexible and very helpful and listened to our needs and requirements. The safari was an unforgettable experience. The camps and lodges that Louise chose were terrific accommodations that aligned with our budget. The safari guides at all locations were amazing - they educated us, kept us safe, and shared these incredible habitats with us - and the staff’s hospitality at each camp was warm and welcoming. We were quite well fed and cared for. All of the transfers and logistics went off flawlessly - which is impressive given how much you move around during the course of several weeks including multiple flights and border crossings. An app is provided that contains everything about your trip, including local weather reports, which was a great and handy resource to have. Our accommodations in Vic Falls and Johannesburg were also lovely.
We found that planning a safari for the first time is daunting, but knew that we didn’t want to sign on to a ready-made group tour with the big-name operators. Using this company gave us the flexibility we wanted with all the infrastructure perfectly in place. We are inspired to go again on safari and if we do, we would use Okavango Delta Explorations again to manage our next adventure. HIGHLY recommend!

We were schedule for a trip to Israel in April but, for obvious reasons, we had to pivot. We decided to switch to a safari in Botswana and really wanted a 8 night 9 day trip at three Ker & Downey camps. After a few inquires, I was told the camps were already booked and to consider a trip in 2025. Thank goodness for Louise FitzGerald at Okavango Delta Explorations! She encouraged me not to give up on a trip in May because the bookings are very fluid and often change. Sure enough, she managed to get us the exact trip we had hoped for and even arranged a birthday celebration for my husband while we we there. Louise was prompt to answer my many questions as we prepared for the trip and offered us a lot of helpful insight about what to expect. It was a trip of a lifetime. The Ker & Downey camps were spectacular with amazing wildlife including leopard and lions cubs! We also had the unexpected experience of watching a lioness track and take down a full grown kudu! Thanks, Louise, for making this trip happen!

The camps were lovely, especially Camp Okvanango- the food was much better than Camp Moremi. All the staff was supberb and the guides were terrific. Excellent experience and we hope to go back one day.

Anna guided us through the process of creating our itinerary and provided us with a flawless trip! Everything about our safari, from the selection of game lodges, transportation and transfer logistics, was handled professionally and smoothly. The Desert and Delta trip met all our expectations and we had a wonderful experience.

We spent 3 nights in Pom Pom camp and 3 nights in Kwara. They are both gorgeous, beautifully maintained properties. The staff were exceptional - literally taking care of our every need from the moment they met us at Maun airport. All the staff were incredible but the trackers were particularly knowledgeable and impressive. We had an amazing time - saw over 100 birds, not to mention lion, hippo, crocs, leopard and a wild dog group out hunting. I would not hesitate recommending Kwando expeditions and can only dream of the opportunity to return!

We traveled to Botswana with our adult childeren for 10 days. Our trip to the Okavango Delta booked with Louise was everything we had hoped for and more. The choice of camps, which we discussed with Louise and left up to her discretion, was fantastic. We had fabulous accomodations, food and guides with each camp building on the previous camp's experience. This is a part of the world not to be missed and we highly recommend Okavango Delta Explorations for their expertise and meticulous planning. The trip exceeded our expectations in every way.

The lodges chosen fantastic for the level of service and comfort and the viewing opportunities. Cannot recommend Louise's services enough. Anna planned a brilliant honeymoon for my husband and I, she put so much thought into it and the whole experience was fantastic!

Flawless execution from the time I arrived in Maun until the time I returned to Maun. My special dietary restrictions accommodated very well with great variety of food. Game drives and tracking was top notch - saw everything I wanted to see...multiple times. Louise did an amazing job hearing out my requests and putting me in the best possible position to see all I wanted to see.

Louise did a great job helping us plan our trip. She really listened to what mattered to us (less landrovers and more animals, diversity in scenery, etc.) and put us in two very distinct camps- both in private concessions. They were truly excellent and the logistics were flawless. When our bags got lost In Johannesburg they took care of it seamlessly. Would highly recommend.

Very helpful, very patient, very professional. We were proposed several packages, until we got one that corresponded to what we were looking for. The organised trip was perfect, the fact that we didn't have to worry about organising the flights to be transferred from one camp to an other is a real game changer. A fully comprehensive service, that allowed us to enjoy the Okavango Delta without spending days organising everything.
We won't hesitate to use their services again and recommend them.

We had a lifetime experience in Kala Camp just recently, end of September. Location of the camp is so beautiful and unique offering not only Delta/Water safaris, but a land one too when water is getting low. Mokoro (canoe used by local in the Okavango Delta) was an absolutely mesmerizing watherpath gliding experience gone by Left and Dreamer (they are changing the names to be easy for foreigners, how considered of them) with detailed explanations and so much wild birds around; totally serene. We were treated like a royalty in the camp. Location of each tent is very secluded and so comfortable and luxurious. But the most impressive and memorable were people; so nice and accommodating. We had a dedicated guide (Paragraph, obviously not a true name), such an expert in Delta's flora and fauna....We were so close to the nature thanks to the camp location and people... One of most rewarding and memorable experience of our trip to Africa. Anxy, Mox, everyone was absolutely awesome to ensure we have the utmost experience during this short stay. Cannot not to mention superb food and chefs. Definitely recommend to stay in this paradise.
