Okavango Delta Explorations organised the most amazing safari for us for our honeymoon. From our initial conversation they came up with a bespoke itinerary for us which was absolutely perfect and covered everything we had asked for. They replied very quickly to emails and phone calls and were overall extremely helpful.
Our full itinerary and travel information was available in their app which was easy to use and very comprehensive.
We stayed at Kwando Safari lodges which were a perfect recommendation - beautiful settings, friendly staff and incredible game drives. Everything was so well organised that we literally did not have to think about anything on the trip and could just enjoy the amazing African experience. We cannot recommend Okavango Delta Explorations highly enough.

It ist perhaps important for you to know, that you habe to pay in pula at the different gates and the prices where between 150 and 1500 pula. You are not allowed to pay with credit card or dollars.

We had an absolutely amazing honeymoon in Namibia thanks to Louise and her team at Okavango Delta Explorations. From the start Louise was hands on with us, helping us to understand the region and the top things to see. She was honest about how we might best use our time, given that we only had 10 days. We discussed our requirements and budget early on, and Louise came back in a few days with a fully bespoke tour of the country for us, with special focus on seeing the breadth Namibia had to offer during our available window to visit in October.

We gave Louise the almost impossible task of maximising the luxury we could enjoy alongside keeping the overall budget in check. Louise took the time to understand what we were looking for before presenting us with the best options. The booking process was seamless for us, with ODE making all the arrangements as necessary, including our complex travel plan within Namibia.

We had a truly luxurious experience with ODE - we did not have to do any work ourselves and were ferried on time between the lodges and local airstrips. Every lodge we stayed at was luxurious and breathtaking in equal measure. We saw all the animals in the big five, and many many more. The guides we had were accommodating, friendly and highly knowledgeable. Our experience and comfort were always prioritised.

Louise also booked us to stay in the private park in Ongava, next to Etosha, rather than in Etosha. Initially we were concerned that we would not have as much opportunity to see game in Ongava, but this is where ODE's expertise really came into play. Ongava had far better game viewing opportunities (including truly incredible foot approaches to rhino and elephants with expert guides, which is impossible in Etosha). Ongava was also far less congested (very few camps) and the accommodation was simply incredible - which is not available to anywhere near the same standard inside Etosha. We still visited Etosha with our Ongava guide for half a day, but it was underwhelming in comparison to Ongava.

We couldn't have asked for better service and representation and are truly grateful to Louise and ODE for organising a perfect honeymoon that we will remember forever. Additional thanks to Louise for following up once we had returned from Namibia to ensure we were satisfied with our service throughout the trip.

Louise was fantastic meeting our requests in lightening speed as we only had a couple of days to put the trip together. The camps were fantastic what an experience we had!

one of the best travel service I have experienced till now. they take utmost care of the smallest need of their client. very well chosen lodges suitable to our family need. the entire trip was well carved looking into personal preferences of each family members. have no words to explain their service.they managed to arrange for special request of wheel chair at each location and also manages to inform all places for special food preferences.very well informed portal for our trip helped each one of us to set right exceptions from each place we were going to visit.

Anna was fantastic assisting us with putting together our dream trip for Botswana and Victoria Falls. Really patient and consistently constructive tailoring it to our budget and somewhat complex needs. We were planning for 2023 but had to postpone the trip until 2024 and she was very kind and generous about that. We absolutely love what she has planned and can’t wait to do it in 2024.

We have just returned from a 3-night stay at Nxamaseri Island Lodge in the Okavango panhandle followed by a 3-night stay at Kanana in the Okavango Delta itself. The trip was awesome! Okavango Delta Explorations attended to every detail and ensured that we did not need to think about any of our travel arrangements. At Nxamaseri Island Lodge, we caught the barbel run and had amazing Tiger Fish and barbel fishing, whereas Kanana provided us the opportunity for excellent game and bird viewing. The 2 lodges were an ideal match for us. It was truly the ideal getaway - thank you to Anna from Okavango Delta Explorations!

Our trip of a lifetime did not disappoint! In fact it was even more amazing than we ever thought it could be. We had to postpone this honeymoon trip for two years due to COVID.The staff at all four camps treated us like newlyweds which made our trip very special indeed. As we arrived at each camp, there was staff singing to greet us. The accommodations were outstanding from the size of the cabins to the linens and towels. There was privacy and a stocked fridge, daily laundry service and even early morning coffee service brought to our room! The food was delicious, complex and there were always multiple choices. We enjoyed the chefs coming to our table describing the dinner choices. Our ranger and trackers (in all three camps except Shinde) were so helpful and knowledgeable spotting animals from far away. We appreciated the service and genuine pride of the Botswanan people. We saw so much game and witnessed lions, leopards and a cheetah consuming its prey! Amazing!

We had a wonderful time spent on safari in Botswana and South Africa.

Great tailored service for a 1-week safari in Botswana as well as 4 days in Cape Town. Definitely recommend! We stayed at 3 very different lodges and enjoyed amazing experiences such as sleeping under the stars, see all the wildlife in various settings and habitats and in a private reserve setting (max 2 jeeps at the same time in the same place, around 5 across all reserve). In South Africa, we did an incredible 1-day hike to Table Mountain, 1-day tour to Cape of Good Hope and city bike tour! Great restaurant/hotel/vineyard recommendations as well!

We have just returned from 8 days in Botswana and can’t rave enough about the experience and the excellent guidance we got from Louise at Okavango Delta Explorations. Louse helped us pick 3 camps to stay at, all offering slightly different experiences. One in the Game Reserve, one in a private concession and one in the Kalahari. We enjoyed game drives (with 4 people max in the jeeps), speed boat rides in the Delta, walks in the wild, and an afternoon with Bushmen! The Guides at the camps were excellent and the lodges were absolutely beautiful. Staff at all the camps spoiled us all day and they just seemed so happy to be there and happy to share their worlds with us. Cannot wait to go back!

We went on the 17-day Leopard Mobile Safari. Although it was tough to sleep in a tent on the ground and maintain an active game drive schedule, the experience was worth it. We saw so many animals up close, including lions, leopards, Cape buffalo, zebras, elephants, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, honey badgers, warthogs, baboons, incredible birds (hornbills, storks, fish eagles, pelicans, spoonbills), and antelope of all sorts. I wouldn't want to do a safari any other way - we were immersed in the wild. The stars at night were spectacular. And every sunrise and sunset was picture-perfect. Our guide and cook were skilled and professional and a lot of fun. I learned a lot and enjoyed the very real adventure.
