Do not use this website. It is a scam site.

I paid £40 for shoes that did arrive however the quality was awful and they were the wrong size.
Their website advises they will provide return labels to the Netherlands but in fact they are based in China and you have to pay for your own returns. Despite querying this for weeks they will not replace my order with the correct size and will not offer a refund either.
The items on their site look lovely and good quality but please don't be fooled as you'll lose your money and won't get what you ordered!

Scam website scam products and scam service. Awful experience with these guys, what I received was Primark clothes and nothing that looked like they did on website. No refund possible apparently!

I’m trying to write something constructive without swearing but the whole experience with “Old Monarchy” is disgusting. Website -great, product - looks great BUT, after waiting weeks what arrives is not what was advertised, cheap knock of shite. Complained, requested refund and was offered 10%, insulting, 30%, insulting, 30% discount on next order - like id ever order from these scammers again!!! Final offer, 50%, also insulting but I’ve accepted as cost of returning items to CHINA is exorbitant. Let’s see if 50% gets paid, I doubt it. Do NOT order from these con merchants, disgusting service, attitude and products. Shouldn’t be allowed to trade.

The products arent as they look and they refuse refunds.
The website processes on refunds is totally false. Go to your credit company for refunds!

Terrible! DO NOT BUY from these SCAMMERS! I ordered a 7.5 & they sent size 9. Told me I could return to Norway or a 20% discount. I said not so they upped to 30%. I said I wanted a full refund and to supply me with the return address. They wouldn't supply and offered 50%. They then told me I had to return to China, not Norway.
Crap quality, crap service. Do not buy from them.

Absolute scammers! Falsely sold clothing described as linen.....they're cotton and polyester. Being offered different percent refund amounts for me to keep the shoddy items. Then when I've still said I want a refund they've said I've got to return at my own expense to China! Does not state this in their refund policy.

Avoid this company at all costs. 1 star is far too generous for these cowboys.

Hi All. I had the same issues as everyone else on here. Clothes were garbage, came weeks late, appeared to just be repackaged Shein items and they tried saying I’d need to pay for postage back to China, even though there’s no mention of that on the website. I contacted my bank directly, sent them a screenshot of the policy on their website where it states they’d supply a paid return slip and my bank refunded me within a couple of days. Make sure you got emails from Old Monarchy stating they won’t supply a pre-paid slip.

If you google “Old Monarchy returns policy”, it should take you to the page you can screenshot.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! It’s a scam!! I placed an order for shoes which arrived in a Jiffy bag. The shoes didn’t fit. I emailed requesting the returns detail. Instead I received constant emails stating I could have 10% off, then I was told the returns centre is closed. Then they’ve suggested after weeks of back and forth they’ve given me a false address in China stating I should pay for the goods to be returned to China, tracked. This company is a scam, do not order from them.

Absolutely awful company and horrendous customer service. Paid £70 for shoes - they arrived in a Jiffy bag and no box, they were miss-shaped by not being protected properly or packaged correctly. Secondly upon realising they didn’t fit me, I asked if I could return them and I was offered 10% refund to be quiet basically. Then when I said no, they offered me 30% refund but not a return. I then sent the item back to the address on the website and asked again for a refund and they said I have to send the item to China! Absolutely ridiculous and it’s disgusting that this company is allowed to trade. I would never deal with them again. I lost all my money. And I even posted the item back to them and lost the postage cost too.

I would never have ordered if I’d realised that my order was coming from China. The order still hasn’t arrived and it’s been 3 weeks. I asked for a refund three times and have only just heard back from them. They’ve offered me a chance to keep the items for a 10 percent discount, if they ever arrive. I’ve declined. Presumably they’re just stalling. It’s time to get my credit card company to do a chargeback.

So took a while for the shoes to arrive but when they did they were HUGE !!! and I mean HUGE!! Quite nice quality. I contacted them and they offered to send me a smaller size if I covered postage - another £10. When I just wanted to return them - they then offered to send me another smaller pair for free (having to go down a whole size). This was over a month ago. They were very responsive initially - but now it is radio silence. I wouldn't use this website. I am going to be more wary of ordering stuff from websites that look genuine - so many fake sites out there now - you are not sure who to trust. ps - if anyone would like a pair of ladies blue loafers - size 7.5 but more like 9 - you can have them !!

I was taken in by the elegant website and the returns statement. I didn’t do my research.
I do a lot of online shopping and this is honestly the worst company I have ever dealt with. After ordering 3 pairs of shoes (in two sizes) and a silk shirt, the first red flag was that it came direct from china. When I got the goods, they were very poor quality amd wrong shoe size. So I emailed Old Monarchy for Returns. The only positive was the customer service was responsive and polite. But they would only offer a partial refund. Eventually I got them to offer a full refund, but only if I posted goods back to china - at my own expense. Despite their office being in Netherlands amd having similar laws to uk re returns that are not fit for purpose should be at sellers expense, they refused point blank. I eventually got 50% refund and I gave the goods to charity. Never do business with them - please.

Avoid at All Costs!!

I thought I was buying from a European company.
It took 4-6 weeks to arrive.
Quality was awful.
And even so we to come.
Can’t get a refund.
They offered me 10% refund to keep
Then 30%. Then 50%.
It’s not worth even 95%!!
The shipping policy says to be returned to Netherlands but in package it says London.
They say China. And at my expense and not even The name Old Monarchy mentioned.

I wish I had read the reviews 1st.

This company is appalling. They delivered trousers that were defective (one of the pockets was not sewn at all on the inside so it was effectively just a hole). Despite the website suggesting a straightforward process for returns, they insist I ship it to China at my own expense.

Terrible product even worse customer service! Shorts two sizes too small. After back and forth emails the best they would offer was 40% refund. Which I never received! Do not purchase anything from their website!!

I bought shoes from Old Monarchy which were completely misrepresented and did not fit at all. The company advertises high quality and good service, but in reality the product was poor and not as described.
I contacted their customer service several times to request a refund, but they ignored all of my messages. Ten months later I am still without a solution.
This company is not trustworthy – they take your money, deliver substandard goods, and then refuse to communicate when something goes wrong. Save yourself the stress and avoid Old Monarchy at all costs.

Only rating one star as no stars does not appear to be an option.
Products delivered bear no relation to web site images.
I ordered a silk shirt. Shirt delivered was NOT silk, did not have any content/care label, was incorrect colour and quality of manufacture was appalling.
You could see vacuum pack creasing in packaging. Shirt was clearly a cheap Chinese import.
I have other Chinese manufacturered goods which are brilliant quality. This shirt was cheap tat.
Company will not provide a returns label despite wholly misselling product.
Am currently in conversatin with the Netherlands Companies House and their trading standards to determine if details om company web site are bona fide. Suspect not.
Wish I had read online reviews. Fear I have lost my money.

Sent the wrong sized item and want money to issue a replacement. Communication has now stopped since I asked for a refund when they were previously very responsive.
