UK import charges not mentioned! UPS charges you on delivery! Over £40!

Like others on trustpilot I feel defrauded. If you order from the UK you will have to pay for delivery from ups on arrival. Mine costed £46, adding 30% to the cost of my purchas. Had I been aware, that 30% would have meant I would have taken my business elsewhere. I can’t find anywhere in the process of purchasing from oliunid a mention of this fact. What it says is:

£0.00 UPS Standard: once shipped, delivery is usually expected in 72 hours

I can’t see how this wouldn’t be illegal.

Appalling

Appalling. They advertise free shipping to the UK. They then shipped with UPS, who will not deliver without payment of import taxes of over £55. This feels like a fraud. Be very careful ordering from these people.

Great first buy!

Found this company by chance online but my first experience with them certainly was 5-star! Product as advertised at a much better price than anywhere else and despatched promptly to the Netherlands so when I need outdoor gear again, I will definitely keep this in mind.

Long time for package to be sent

At first i want to mention customer support was friendly and somewhat responsive, even though service is just not right. I’ve placed my order on Monday and recived emial with estimated time of delivery on Tuesday. It’s Thursday afternoon and package still wasn’t handed over to courier according to GLS site. Customer support blames GLS for this but I haven’t recived exact answer where is my package right now. I guess it wasnt sent at all. Even if it will come after one week I doesn’t understand why company brags about 24h delivery.

Amazing site/company in Italy for Climbing Gear!

Amazing site/company in Italy! Great prices on climbing gear.
I saved a 'ton' of money on an order utilizing them over some of the sites/companies here in the USA. Happy to support them if they run their business so well like this.
Also, my items got here in 2.5 days!? from Italy. To midwest US... My 1st experience with them has been nothing short of superb!
Will be ordering from this awesome site again in the future if every transaction is like this, & also telling others 😄

Very bad service

Very bad service. Estimated shipping date two weeks after purchase and still not sure did they send out or not. On top of that how long delivery will take? Company probably using horses for delivery. Do not waste your time with them. Shop around for better service.

Two star because

Two star because - returning an item will cost the customer 20€. This I find is really not good. I ordered the shoes, the size was large and returning the shoe costed me another 20€. Why should I pay for the shipment.
It's understandable that size can vary if one buys online. But looting money from the customer for the same is just obsurd.

I am afraid to buy anything from there shop again as I am not sure if I have to return the stuff and it will cost me more.

Not recommended.

Fantastic service and an incredibly responsive team

Fantastic service! Superb communication throughout and a very respectable 13 day delivery time to Sydney, Australia. I had initially miscalculated the exchange rate and the correspondence between myself and Alessio was prompt and direct throughout. He cleared up the issue seamlessly and my kit was on its way to me in no time at all. I was initially apprehensive as the equipment was a hell of alot cheaper than anywhere else but it seems somethings are too good and yet also true.

Not great returns or exchanges

I wouldn’t order from this website again unless you know exactly what you want and you’ve tried it on. I followed their measurement guide but the harness I bought wasn’t the right fit. They don’t anllow exchanges and they don’t really have a customer friendly return policy. Really Wishing I had ordered from a different website.

Please be aware that our size chart is provided by the supplier, and we strive to ensure it is as accurate and helpful as possible for all our customers. Despite our efforts, we recognize there may be times when the fit isn't perfect.

While we currently do not offer exchanges, we do have a return policy in place. Additionally, you can order a new harness and benefit from our free shipping offer to France for orders above 39€. This approach means you would only be responsible for the return shipping costs, effectively covering one shipment out of three made.

We appreciate your understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience this situation may have caused. Ensuring your satisfaction is important to us. Awful buying and shipping experience, extra long wait

Ordered $900 worth of gear. Shipment was delayed for two months because they sold out one of my items but didn't bother to email me about it. I had to reach out and ask. When they responded there was a lack of help in figuring out what options I had at that point. I had to come up with my own option which was to replace it with a similar item. They didn't even bother to look for me to see what was an equivalent item.

When my item was finally shipped they emailed me afterwards to slickly tell me that one of the CAM's I ordered was sold out and refunded me for that. frustrating as I've already been waiting over two months.

My shipment was held up for two weeks at customs because they didn't give customs a merchandise list so customs didn't know what was inside and therefore could not release my item.

I again had to email them about this and they didn't offer any explanation.

Finally when my shipment was delayed I had to shell out $400 in shipping brokerage fees from UPS because apparently they had UPS do the paperwork instead of doing it themselves. I'm not sure where the communication brokedown so badly. It was by far the worst buyers experience I've ever had in my entire life.

so... buyers beware.

They did email me recently to finally apologize that they had a staffing shortage. But somehow it doesn't ease my wallet or my frustration. I would give them zero stars except I did receive my gear, and i guess I'll survive

i appreciated their diligence in reaching out to make things right. as a customer it feels good to know that my frustrations are heard. decided to add stars back for good customer relations. since then after much research i took a chance and ordered two more times using local postal service. i read local postal will handle the customs paper work free of charge. sure enough it worked perfectly and i received both new orders.

im glad to make ammends and continue to shop here as it is a really great resource for climbing gear.

UPDATE:
If they the UPS driver doesn't find your place easily, Oliunid will just cancel the order and send you your money back a week later.

So much driving for nothing, don't buy Oliunid for international shipping !

As a climbing group we made a collective order for more than 500€ of gear.
Oliunid could not ship withing being a full week late (and we still didn't receive it)
By mail they are unreliable, telling you "It will be there tomorrow, no problem"

They seem to have big problem for delivering outside of Italy. I really would NOT RECOMMEND to anyone that need some gear shipped.

Great Product, Friendly Staff, Problems Sorted

The pricing and quality of product and Oliunid service is excellent, subject to a delay in delivery and a quality issue that was eventually fixed by helpful staff.

I bought two pairs of Scarpa GTX shoes from Oliunid in August 23 to trek in the Dolomites and walk around Italian cities. A pair of Mojito Trek GTX and a pair of Mojito GTX. The former is a stiff hiking shoe for summer hiking, the latter a city and approach shoe replacing an old pair. I've been a long time Scarpa boot wearer - they fit my feet and I cannot get these shoes in Sydney. After a delay with shipping, they express couriered the shoes to Sydney, in time for my September Italy trip.

During the trip the left city shoe hurt my foot like walking on a stick. Turns out the insole was too big, the right correct. This is not the first time I have had problems with Scarpa insole quality so I was annoyed, but it was not Oliunid's fault. So, I emailed Oliunid with details and photos on 4 October and they contacted Scarpa for replacement insoles. On 24Jan 24, Alberto advised me he had posted the insoles to me -- just in time for my next trip.

So, apart from the delays in shipping, I can highly recommend Oliunid. I will be buying from them again and hope to visit their stores when next in Italy.
