Absolutely unbelievably rubbish quality necklace. Looked so nice on the advert. Got it as part of my wife's Christmas as she admired it and we fell for the fake Facebook comments. It wasn't expensive... See more

I purchased a necklace from Olivia and Ivy. The quality was so poor I asked to return it. They wanted to charge a fortune, equal to the cost of the chain, for postage. That offered a 15% refund instead. That would be £3.75. I’ve decided to warn others.
One star it 5 stars too many. This company pretends to be from Manchester. They are in fact in China.
Total Rip Off.
AVOID! Website info is all lies! Items are shipped from Alibaba! Not Mother/Daughter store!
Items are shipped from Alibaba, Olivia&Ivy website stated it’s a daughter/mother company, but it’s a lie. There’s no physical public store! Olivia&Ivy are a dropshipping website. They use Alibaba to dropship items. Items are from China, Cheap and Flimsy!! Break easily. AVOID
cheap Chinese tat disguised as a UK based firm
Ordered a necklace, looks literally nothing like it does on their website - cheap Chinese tat that you would get out of a vending machine. Read their terms and you will see they are based in China.
Do NOT recommend this company
One star is too generous. After waiting for two weeks, the lovely woollen turtle neck jumper that I was expecting turned out to be a polyester/spandex creation that resembles a poorly made sweatshirt. My husband bought me this for my Christmas as I had been so enamoured by the highly misleading image on the website. The only consolation is that there was a 50% reduction. Even so, paying £50 for a piece of tat that that is too hideous to wear is a hard lesson learned. We have always bought from reputable firms in the past and will continue to do so. I can only advice people to avoid a company that claims to be based in Manchester but seems to originate from China.
AVOID THIS SELLER - CHEAP TAT
Item is not as advertised, when magnified the photo clearly shows a knitted finish jumper. The item I received is cheap & synthetic, similar colours is about the only good thing I can say. We have a great charity shop nearby, I won't insult them by donating this piece of tat. Absolute waste of £50!! Hopefully my review will help others avoid this bunch of rip off merchants.

I ordered two jumpers. Honestly, they turned out even nicer than I expected really soft and they fit just right. I’m very happy with them and will probbably order again soon!
Fraudulent company
This is a fraudulent company disguised as a legitimate company based in Manchester. The item was shipped from China, and whilst it arrived quite quickly, the item was far removed from the image on the website and absolutely not worth the money paid. I thought I had undertaken due diligence when checking for a scam but clearly not.
AVOID THIS COMPANY
AVOID THIS COMPANY. Chinese organisation marked as UK company. We are all use to Chinese made products many of which a very good. However the jewellery from this company is very poor quality. Worst of all they will try everything to avoid giving you a refund. Insisting that sending it back to China will cost you £20! Don’t waste your money.
Huge mistake. I've learn't my lesson
Well, if I could give this so called company a negative score, I would. They hoodwink us into thinking this is a legitimate store in Manchester run by 2 ladies, whilst all the time it is an online seller operating from China operating under Netherlands Law, as the small print and the postal/delivery record shows. The product I bought (dog embrace necklace) looks good in the advertised pictures but arrives as a piece of "cheap tat" bearing little if any resemblance to the advertisment. The so called "pet" jewellery is so badly made you wouldn't even be happy if it was in an Xmas cracker! This company has conned me out of hard earned cash and according to other reviews I have no chance of getting a refund. Lesson learned...delve deep into every online purchase. This is the first time I have been caught out by purchasing on the internet. If there is anything good to say about this experience, it is that I shall be far more careful in future...and so save a shed full of money. I shall be contacting my bank but have little hope of a charge back. THEN, if you want to return the "tat" you have to pay postage to (guess where) ASIA/CHINA! Question? Why did we ever let our manufacturing base go abroad. If I could, I would always buy BRITISH MADE GOODS, unfortunately we are more a "Service Industry" country now. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Go shopping on the high street for jewellery items where you can see, touch and try on the item before you part with your money. In my humble opinion this company should be prevented from selling into the UK and exposed at every turn if you have a similar experience to me. I found this today (01/12/25) - The Daily Mail wrote in October - Chinese firms turn to AI-generated fake couples and families to fleece unsuspecting British shoppers
By Lettice Bromovsky - October 8th 2025, 9:06:43 am
The Daily Mail has uncovered four separate websites that present as wholesome mother-daughter clothing businesses but are actually using AI and fake stories to lure in customers. Olivia and Ivy was one of them!
Avoid
This company claim to be in Manchester and will not accept my return for a refund unless I send to China. The coat I ordered is poorly made and not worth the price. Avoid at all costs.
Absolute scam
Absolute scam, DO NOT buy from this company or similar. I'd not give them 1 star if I could help it!! Ashamed to say I fell for the story, ordered a necklace which I wouldn't pay £1.99 for, let alone £24.95 the sale price! Comes from China and cannot return within the UK. Only hope is to get money back via charge back on my credit card
AVOID BUYING
AVOID! This is a dropshipper/AI generating Chinese company that sells poor quality goods at high prices, without any real recourse for return/refund. It purports to be a longstanding Manchester/London based company.
You can return items to China, but the address itself looks bogus. I think I’ve managed to get about £12 back of my original spend, so have lost just over £30 for something that is utterly unwearable.
Don’t even think about buying from these. Reported to Trading Standards…these are popping up all over the place so be careful!
I wouldn’t give it a rating
I wouldn’t give it a rating. I ordered a cardigan and a necklace, both extremely poor quality. I have no order confirmation, there’s no paperwork with the order either. I’ve contacted the company on the website. The company claims to be Manchester based established in 1997 then 2022 when I send message on messenger. Apparently I have to pay the return postage. Let’s hope I actually hear back!
Very poor quality and comes from Asia
Item arrived late and not colour or quality as described. The impression was given it was Manchester company but comes from Asia. You pay for returns back to Asia. Very poor quality of wool. So thin it's curling at edges. Do not buy!
I suspect this is a scam.
I suspect this is a scam.
Had experience with a similar named company recently claiming to be a Mother & Daughter from the UK, when they were actually a Chinese company.
They would only offer a return only when raised through PayPal & that items would have to sent back to China at my expense. Plus the quality was very poor of the items.
BE VERY VERY CAREFUL
