Thanks to “Uncle” Mike, I went from my first driving lesson to passing my test in just 7 weeks.

From lesson one, Mike had me behind the wheel. The only time I sat in the passenger seat was on the way back from the test centre after I passed.

Mike has a wonderfully patient nature. He celebrated every success, no matter how small, and never once judged me for making a mistake – no matter how many times I made it. Instead, he calmly explained what had happened, helped me understand why, and gave me the confidence to improve.

Without Mike, I would not have passed first time. His communication was always professional, and he was incredibly accommodating when it came to scheduling lessons around my availability.

If you’re looking for an instructor who will support you, challenge you, and genuinely believe in your ability to succeed, I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I had an amazing experience with Omari Automatic Driving School, especially with my instructor Mike.

I passed my driving test on the first attempt, and honestly, I couldn’t have done it without him. Mike is extremely patient, honest, and professional. He explains everything in a very simple and clear way, which made learning much easier and more comfortable.

What really stood out to me is his honesty — I kept asking to book more lessons because I was nervous, but he confidently told me that I was ready and didn’t need more. That really shows how trustworthy and genuine he is, always putting the student first rather than just taking extra lessons.

He treated me like a younger brother, with real care and support, and that made a huge difference in my confidence.

I cannot recommend Mike highly enough! After having 10 lessons with a previous instructor, I failed my first test because I was a nervous driver and crumbled under the pressure. Everything changed when I started with Mike.
​In just 5 lessons, he gave me the confidence I was lacking. I felt completely sure of what I was doing, and I finally passed! What I appreciated most was his honesty; he never tried to sell me more lessons than I actually needed. His flexibility is also unmatched—he was available from early morning until late at night, seven days a week. Mike is absolutely amazing, and I’ve already recommended him to all my friends. Mike is both an amazing person and instructor, treats pupils like family. He is so kind and supportive, which helped massively with building my confidence as I was quite an anxious learner. He is very experienced and planned our lessons strategically, ensuring I get sufficient practice in all components of the test. Before starting a lesson he’d always tell me what to expect in that lesson and also gave me opportunity to suggest things I personally wanted more practice in. He knows the test area extremely well and gave me tips to remember certain tricky roads and road rules and how to approach them.

I passed yesterday first time! Cannot be more thankful to have Mike, as well as Laura, who’s been very efficient and reliable in communication, sorting out schedules and general admin. They’ve been accommodating with my personal schedules and hope to help me get a license asap as I’m searching for jobs so will really benefit from having access to my own car.

If you want to learn automatic in Manchester you are cheating yourself if you do not go with Omari.

Having previously failed a few years ago with a different driving instructor, who not only wasn’t a nice person but their teaching style didn’t fill me with confidence, I struck gold deciding to go with Mike & Laura at Omari, this time around.

Mike is a brilliant teacher, his instructions and teaching is clear and digestible and has increased confidence driving tenfold. Mike was always early for my lessons and always encouraged learning through driving rather than some instructors who want to sit and chat a lot to save on petrol and get more lessons/money out of pupils.

Thank you to Laura also, always so supportive and always there right away if you need lessons/test booking or if you have any issues.

Both Mike and Laura make you feel a part of the family. They are great people and don’t make decisions on your driving based on monetary gain, they genuinely care for you and want you to pass as soon as you can.

I highly recommend Omari Driving school. Both Laura and Mike were incredibly supportive and accommodating and ensured that I had a stress free experience learning to drive. My instructor was extremely patient and went above and beyond to ensure that I passed my test.

Laura has equally been fantastic always organised and patient when finding lessons that suit a busy schedule she has been so wonderful during the months I have been with Omari.

If I could give 10 stars I would, when joining Omari you are not another number in a large driving school who do not care as long as you buy a package you are joining a family I would recommend Omari driving school to any learner regardless of expierence and ability as Mike will make you strong and ready for the test!

He has been incredibly punctual, always on time for every lesson and never cancel, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free.
