Avoid at all cost.

From the moment that my vehicle was stolen, one call insurance have been unbelievably poor. It is not possible to call them, all communication is done by live chat. One example, and there are many, I attempted to join live chat at 1230 lunchtime, I was 29 in the queue, by 1645 I was 12 in the queue, at 1700 I was cut off. This is not the worst thing that happened by a long way, but I simply do not wish to think about the bad experience again. Please do not go with this insurance provider, they are cheap for a reason.

One Call - One of the Worse!

One Call - One of the Worse!
If you are forced to cancel your policy (selling your vehicle) they refuse to reimburse you the remaining length of the policy (paid a full year this May) and if you change your vehicle, they charge you £39.00 administration fee.
Clever business for them!
I'll never use them again.

I have a query about my insurance. There appears to be no way of contacting One Call Insurance. The customer services telephone number has an answer message saying it is closed.
All FAQ point to the live chat.

The problem is there is no link to the live chat anywhere.
After logging on to the customer portal and searching, and searching - there is no live chat.

Will look elsewhere for insurance unless this drastic attempt to contact them fails.

Onecall insurance breakdown cover

I'd been with this company for two years I didn't have a problem til I broke down terrible service I've never had some much excuses in my life they didn't seem to worry that I broke down even when I'm paying for this I've never had a problem with anyone else up til now in the end I gave up with the guy on the phone and had to find my own way home paying for a service that I can't even use 👎

unsatisfactory ...no communication

This is a wierd company with some [ a few] elements and people that operate efficiently but large chunks of it that are disorganised ,inefficient and incompetent . I have motor insurance with them and had an accident and the claims experience was stressful . By far the major element of the bad experience comes down to communication . The entire business no longer uses phones but tries to make all communication via text messages and then gets you to reply by webchat . I explained many times that i cannot get text messages ..poor mobile phone signal but please email and landline ..both 100% fine ...but that was impossible .Sometimes they said yes but still didnt . Having made a claim the process to choose a repairer was completely chaotic swinging about between their own centre in Swindon .[.but that didnt have any loan vehicles ] to a subcontractor CVS which was by far the worst ...to a collective of repair garages based in Bristol called ARC which was efficient [well done Jenny] who organised a repair at one of their garages ,only to be overturned by Onecall to go to their Swansea repair centre which was fine [well done Karen] .But all of the above had to be organised and chased and chivvied by me .Chase chase chase . No thanks to One call Doncaster . their insurance is cheap but in the event you have a claim you reaise why . Not worth the hassle

shocking service

shocking service, claim mishandled, radio silence almost 4 weeks after claim was made. When i spoke to the emergency department, the person their side is a great example of how not to do customer service! rude and abrupt! constantly being passed from one person to the next and still no resolution!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

If I could give negative stars, I would. This has to be THE worst ever Car Insurance company in the UK. They not only overcharge people, but they also send you reminders that your insurance has been renewed, even though you have cancelled and moved on to a new, more reliable insurer!
You can only speak to someone to make claim, otherwise you have to use their online "Chat Portal" from another website.
I would rather speak to a real person, that speak to a chat bot!
Avoid at all costs!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - POOR SERVICE

Takes an eternity to get to chat with someone , then I was asked to prove that I hadn't had an accident in my car ( My wife had one in hers )
Wouldn't except email confirmation from the AA of no accident and wouldn't speak to them ,
I was cut off twice in chat conversations after waiting over 30 mins , do not use them

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Nobody likes to have to submit a negative review, but I would not like others to have the very unpleasant experience that I had to endure. Please AVOID 'One Call' car insurance company at all cost.
I accidentally damaged my car whilst visiting my son approximately 85 miles away from my home.
The call to report the accident took 3 hours! I was passed from department to department to department. I had paid extra for a courtesy car but they could not provide one for 3 days! They will not put you through to a manager unless you say the words, 'I am not happy with your customer service'. There continued to be a catalogue of disasters and miscommunication. Each time I contacted the company the staff were either unhelpful, arrogant, disrespectful, dismissive, cocky, with a 'I couldn't care less attitude'. They were initially meant to collect my car and tow it back to my home and provide me with a lift. They then decided that 85 miles was too far away to tow the car even though the policy says they will transport your car anywhere in the uk. My car took over 4 weeks to be repaired due to their poor communication and organisation. This would have took much longer if I had not regularly chased up the matter. For your own sanity please AVOID.

most unhelpful customer service chat is only point of contact which takes hours
Customer portal not secure potential scam cheap and not cheerful.
AVOID! This company look at the other reviews surprised chat didn't come with a fee

Thieves

When applying for car insurance i told them i had 9 years no claims bonus they took the premium.
A week later they emailed me stateing that in reality i only had 8 years they took £50 from my bank acc.
I have since provided them with written proof of the 9yrs but they have not reimbursed me.
No Email address , no phone number the only way of contacting them is by post.

Be very careful…….Bought a online car insurance and when…

Bought a online car insurance and when documents came through it wasn't what i had asked for. Despite the policy not starting for 17 days. Within 22 hours I contacted them and they then tried to amend my quote and add about £270 onto the premium. When i refused they tried to say i could only have a partial refund for the remainder of the policy. Stuck to my guns now got to wait 7-10 days for a full refund. New insurer matched onecalls original quote with my needs matched. 75 minutes on chat! I gave one star as I couldnt give none

This is the worst insurance company I…

This is the worst insurance company I have ever used. It is impossible to get through to speak to anyone, they don't send the information via post despite saying they have via the online complaints procedure, the online portal states it does not recognise my details despite sending me texts to reset my password. I did not want to renew my policy with them due to increased costs and now they are trying to charge cancellation fees etc etc. Do not trust this company, absolute shambles!!!

Not only do onecall not provide the cover you pay for they also want a cancellation fee even though its advertised free cancellation .They were so desperate for £59.80 that they illegally took it out of a different account,they did not have my permission therefore in my mind they stole the money.i paid a £20 call out fee with PayPal then cancelled it got money back OK,but they used those details without concent ,also since we changed insurers someone has cancelled our payments twice that's now sorted but I bought a baby chair with PayPal and someone has cancelled that not saying who but it is a bit of a coincidence. Just be aware who has your bank details ,personally would I recommend onecall ,NO NO NO NO!

TAKING MONEY WITHOUT CONSENT

TAKING MONEY WITHOUT CONSENT. UNCONTACTABLE
APPALLING.
The company have zero customer service options. The 'Live Chat' does not work. I tried for almost 40 consecutive days to use it and recorded on my phone 19 consecutive days of it not working.
THEY HAVE BEEN TAKING MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY CONSENT FOR MONTHS.
They renewed a policy I did not want for a car I no longer own.
There is no means to cancel and their website takes you around in circles.
There is no email, no phone number, no live chat...only a postal address.
I've had to laboriously contact my bank, go through all of their security etc and use their DD guarantee to get a refund every month.
Then, the following month, One Call set up a new account number and do it again.
Today, i have had to close my bank account after being on their support system for over an hour AGAIN.
The only telephone number i could get for 'OneCall' was via my bank. It is 01302558610 but it s a fake number. Out of office hours give a answer message, during office hours it plays music (without even ringing). The bank have been informed. They advised they also have a private number.
This has been going on several months.
They are without doubt, the most unprofessional, faceless, unhelpful and most hateful company I can imagine. Utterly despicable conduct.

They have no contact phone number

They have no contact phone number, no email correspondence, just their “live chat” window which makes you wait a long time and have slow response. Terrible to work with! Avoid at all costs. I had home insurance with them and couldn’t cancel until a few months AFTER selling the house and moving away. Didn’t have internet to use their live chat and couldn’t waste all my phone data waiting to chat with someone. Now they’re supposed to refund what I overpaid but can’t tell me when the underwriters will approve the refund. In the meantime, they’re asking me to pay in order to cancel otherwise I will get charged fees. They can’t tell me when I’ll beat back from the underwriters and I can’t speak to a manager about all these issues with OneCall. Shameful company to force customers to use live chat only.
