Terrible client services

Terrible client services
My parents have been blocked out of the banking app for quite some time now. We’ve called in so many times, sent tonnes of emails and been promised help but it’s been weeks now, and they still don’t have access to the app. The worst service ever.

My parents could be stranded overseas just because Discovery refuses to be forward coming with their customer services and attending to their clients’ issues.

Discovery Bank South Africa not worth the risk if you are abroad

Discovery Bank South Africa, the worst ever.
If you have your cell phone stolen, they are unable to help. Do not ever rely on Discovery Bank especially if you are abroad. They are inflexible, unable to understand or find a solution. You really do not need the stress. In addition, it took about 40 minutes to get through to their fraud line, locally. You really do not need to put your funds at risk when you are abroad.

Worst bank ever!

Worst bank ever!! I am overseas and trying to get hold of customer service. I have tried 3 times and held for over 30 minutes each time and just given up. There is no email address or other way of reaching them. It is so frustrating!

Don't bother using discovery bank

I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Discovery Bank. My experience with their customer service has been nothing short of terrible. On multiple occasions, I have had calls abruptly cut off by agents or been given fake reference numbers, which is completely unacceptable.

More importantly, I want to highlight the farce that is Discovery Bank’s points system. Despite having a substantial bond with significant equity and holding retirement annuities, I receive zero points for these. It is incredibly frustrating that there is no way to escalate this issue through their call center to get a response from management.

I was on the verge of taking out insurance through Discovery, but I will no longer do so as their points system appears to be prejudiced and unfair. I hope this review serves as a warning to others considering Discovery Bank
