Steven’s methodical and calm approach certainly helped my Son with his A’level Chemistry result and, more importantly, his enjoyment of the subject.

After being taught by Steven for around 6 months, i can safely say he's 100% saved my a level chemistry grade.
After the pandemic put my learning to a halt, i came to steven with some concerns about my knowledge and progress in chemistry. In just 6 months he has completely flipped my attitude around, and given me so much confidence in the process. I'm now able to score consistently high and be confident in my knoweldge whilst knowing I can always ask steven for help at any time - he's only ever an email away! He's provided me with any of the resources i could have ever needed (so important!) which i've used in revision more times than i can say. He's not only been an amazing chemistry tutor but an amazing friend along the way, and he truly puts the students best interests first before anything else. He always makes sure the sessions are engaging and informative, with plenty of questions to practice. I don't think i could have asked for a better tutor, his help has been invaluable. We hired Steve to offset lost schooling during the first lockdown and we have continued since. Our son improved dramatically and earned an excellent grade at the end. We highly recommend Steve as a tutor; he is attentive, patient and highly knowledgeable.

Steve has been an enormous help to my son. He is reliable, friendly and approachable. My son has enjoyed all his sessions and Steve has helped him to fill gaps in his knowledge and gain in confidence. He is patient and encouraging and gently nudges students in the right direction. He has the subject knowledge to be able to be flexible during lessons and respond to questions. When I was initially looking for a tutor for 'A' Level Chemistry, I had in my mind a 'Steve'! Steve is an amazing tutor, he has been kind and supportive whilst challenging me academically and pushing me to do my best. I had to do the Autumn exams and I was really stressed due to the short timespan but Steve managed to help me and explain challenging topics in a way I could easily understand. I would highly recommend Steve as a Chemistry tutor. He has recently tutored my daughter for A level chemistry. His approach has been friendly and approachable and has covered all topics in detail. He has always been flexible with lesson timings especially in the run up to the exams fitting in extra lessons when needed. I would not hesitate to recommend to any future students .

Do not worry that online tutoring is less effective than face to face. With Steve it is equally effective.

Not only is Steve an excellent tutor he is also patient and a great motivator always encouraging you to do your best. In fact my daughter describes him as a legend!

Steve is a brilliant tutor, and has helped me so much with my Chemistry. He makes you feel comfortable, no question is ever silly and it never matters if you don't know the answer or have forgotten something, he's kind and understanding. He will also send all the resources we have used and annotated during the lesson, as well as anything else he thinks may be helpful to me, which is so useful when reviewing topics. I started off my lessons face to face with Steve, but due to the current circumstances the lessons were moved to an online video chat. To anyone who's worried about how this might work, don't be. You get so much out of both types of lessons. I could not recommend Steve enough, he's helped me to improve my grade and gain confidence in chemistry. If you're struggling with Chemistry and need someone who is kind, understanding and a good explainer, I could't think of anyone better than Steve!

Fantastic tutor with extensive knowledge around the subject. He was a pivotal factor in me receiving the grades I wanted to allow universities to send me offers. I would definitely recommend Steve to anyone who is thinking of a getting a chemistry tutor.

Worked with many tutors in my life time but can confidently say I never witnessed such amazing results the way I did with Mr Smith (Steve). Before I started working with Steve I used to get Es and Ds, sometimes even Us, however after starting lessons with Steve my grades improved massively to a grade B in my recent Alevel chemistry mock and now I’m working towards a grade A! Couldn’t express how grateful I am for all the amazing lessons and time Steve invested in me.

Steve is such an amazing tutor and makes such complex ideas so simple and easy to understand. He is incredibly patient and I never feel like I can’t say if I don’t understand something as he is also very kind and understanding. I struggled massively with my first year of chemistry a level and my grades have improved so much since I started my lessons with Steve. I only needed one session to find a solution to one of the questions related to access course to higher education. I was looking for a tutor and while I was waiting for a response from a tutor I selected, Steve contacted me. He offered the first lesson for free and although he knew I was not looking for regular chemistry classes, but only wanted a one-off lesson, he still agreed on giving me the lesson for free. The communication was very quick, so we swiftly decided on the day and time of the lesson without any problems. I was amazed by being approached by the tutor himself and his interest in helping me. I needed help, so I did not hesitate to accept the offer. Steve is a person I can trust because everything happened exactly as we planned! Steve also explained very well the problem and I could tell he did research and prepared himself before the lesson, which I did appreciate!
I would recommend Steve to everyone who struggles with science because he is very professional and his knowledge of the subject is undeniable. Since the first lesson is for free, you have nothing to lose. I personally prefer online lessons because it saves time. I could easily follow what Steve was saying because I could see everything on the screen in front of me. I do admire Steve´s use of technology.

My son was struggling with his first year A-level chemistry, he really wanted a face to face tutor but we struggled to find a good one, and really had left it to late. We had tried an online tutor before and my son did not like that way of learning. We were running out of time as his exams were coming up, so decided to give the online Chem tutor ago. I could not believe how happy my son was after the first lesson, he got so much out of it, and learnt loads. The tutor is extremely good at explaining things and testing that the person has understood. The lessons are very well structured and organised. I don’t think my son would have passed his first year without having these lessons. We have now booked lessons for the second year.
