I really wish I read the reviews before I bought this bag, because I've experienced very similar experiences. The bag has a terrible smell, I've tried airing this out but it's so bad that I couldn't wear it in public.

I've reached out for a return via email, Insta and support lines with no luck.

Such a waste a money, the bag is now going into the bin.

Based in the UK and trying to get a refund. Being completely ignored. Bag is ok at best, not worth the £30+ spent on it. Just buy the cheap dupes from Amazon or something. Don't buy from ooomay, waste of time and money.

Bag is cheap and nasty and arrived folded so small it is all creased as well. Certainly not worth the price paid. Customer service are ghosting me and reading the rest of these reviews it seems like I have no hope of a return or refund. Stay away.

My package took longer to arrive because the carrier had trouble delivering it and ended up returning it to the sender. I was a bit frustrated, but ooomay' customer service was fantastic and really came through for me. They quickly sent out a new package, and I'm now loving the bag I got from them. You can tell it is really good quality and perfect for everyday use. Thanks to the great customer service, the wait was worth it!

When i first received the maya bag, i was put off by a strong smell from the vegan leather. I emailed customer service who apologized and told me that this can happen with vegan leather when boxed up for a while. it took a few days of airing out before the odor faded. once the smell went away i was really impressed with the bag. the vegan leather is soft and high-quality, and the design is so cute. despite the initial issue, it's a great purchase!

I've been on the hunt for a sustainable, cruelty-free bag, and I'm So happy I found this one. I bought the julie bag because although I loved the look of the maya bag which is the best seller, something about the julie I loved. The vegan leather is super easy to clean and holds up really well with everyday use. The strap is comfortable even when the bag is full, and I'm obsessed with the minimalist design because it literally goes with everything!

The maya bag is rly cute!! I love the logo engraving and how sturdy the vegan leather feels. It's perfect for everyday use, but I was hoping it would fit a bit more. My 15" laptop does fit, but it's a tight squeeze, especially if I have other bigger items. Still a great bag, just wish it had a little more space so I could carry more.

I absolutely love the design and feel of the Maya bag. The vegan leather is soft, and fits my daily essentials perfectly. However, I'm tall and I found the strap a bit shorter than I would have liked. It's still functional and comfortable to carry, but I wish there was an option for a longer strap. Other than that, I'm really happy with it!!

Omg I am OBSESSED with my Maya bag!! I've been using it for everything—school, shopping, work, you name it. If fits my giant2012 MacBook Pro (which is super heavy), my notebooks, water bottle, and a bunch of other small things. I was counting the days until it arrived, and when it did, the packaging was gorgeous And it smelled amazing because of the scent sachet inside. I love that it's vegan leather—such a huge plus for me. If you're thinking about getting it, DO IT. I'm already eyeing the brown one for my next purchase. 😍

The bags are terrible quality. Don’t order there and save yourself some money.

Saw it on Instagram and purchased immediately. It arrived 2 weeks later and it absolutely STINKS of fish (like how cheap leather smells from fast fashion places). It's also smaller than I expected as well - it can fit my laptop in but no room for anything else.

It is a cute bag but made so cheaply. If I had seen it in person before purchasing I would only pay £10 for it, let alone the "sale" price I paid of £32.

I strongly advise against purchasing from this business. It operates as a reselling scam, offering bags from AliExpress and other low-cost websites at exorbitant mark-ups. Upon receiving the Maya bag, I immediately noticed its poor quality, which was entirely unacceptable given the price paid. When I attempted to return the item, I was informed that I would need to ship it back to Miami, despite being located in the UK. The best they could offer was a 20% partial refund if I chose not to send the parcel internationally.

While I have previously returned items to other countries at a reasonable cost, I found it particularly concerning when I learned that the company has a warehouse in Europe. This warehouse is apparently suitable for dispatching items but not for processing returns. Upon further inquiry about the partial refund, I was eventually offered a 40% refund, which I accepted. The customer service representative was vague about the cost of return shipping, refusing to provide specific details until I made a decision on the partial refund. I ultimately opted for the 40% refund, unwilling to be further exploited by this company.

Guys, it‘s NOT a scam. I ordered from Germany and thought fricking so many Bad Reviews but it is her and it dos‘nt smell like Fish at all. I love the bag. Yes it took a but longer to arive but it really looks perfekt also it is shipped so secure. To be onest i orderd one from Shein for comparison and the Maya bag looks soooo better. The SHEIN on is the one how is smelling awfull and looks cheap

Should have read the reviews!!! Well and truly fell for this one. Bought the 'viral bag' which when arrived absolutely stinks of fish. I have since tried emailing (twice), contacting via Instagram and no response from them in order for me to return the item. All the reviews on the website must be paid "influencer" ones or just plain fake

This bag stinks and although your laptop might fit. It is not as spacious as shown in the videos. Please save yourself some money and avoid it.

I orderd the Maya bag. The bag smells so bad that I'm literally unable to hold it for longer than 3 seconds. My MacBook doesn't fit in the bag either. I've been trying for almost two weeks to return the bag, but they refuse and come up with unacceptable solutions. Stay away from this store, it's a scam.

Used the bag for under a month and it ripped and kept ripping (didn’t even use it for heavy items). No response about a refund. Bag smelled like plastic. Horrible quality for the price, DO NOT BUY!!!!!!! This is such a scam.

Save yourself some money. If you want this bag, order from Temu for $10 or amazon.

If I could give a zero I would. Bag smells terrible and dimensions suggesting the Maya bag could fit laptop was incorrect. No response to my requests for a refund and no information provided about returns. Total waste of money.
