Very disappointed with the service and…

Very disappointed with the service and how my concerns were handled.

A maintenance worker came to fix my daughter’s wheelchair and entered my home. I politely asked him to lock my front door, as it does not lock automatically. He refused outright and simply said it didn’t need to be locked, without any explanation.

If he had explained that he preferred the door to remain unlocked for his own safety, I would have completely understood. The issue was not the decision — it was the lack of communication, professionalism, and basic respect.

What made this worse was speaking to the manager, Dwayne, who fully supported the worker’s behaviour without acknowledging my concern at all. My point was completely dismissed, which left me feeling unheard and frustrated.

When someone enters a customer’s home, clear communication and respect are essential. This experience fell far below what I would expect, especially given the circumstances involving my daughter’s care.

I hope this is taken seriously and improvements are made so other families do not have the same experience.

Total and complete utter waste of time and tax payers money.

This started on November 2024.
We previously had outstanding service, from the team at Cannock Hospitals Orthotics Department.

I have given 1 star for this poor excuse for a business-Opcare.
It wouldn't allow me put zero stars.
If i could have given -1000 it wouldn't be low enough.
This is the worst case of inept skills and apathetic customer disservice I have seen in our dealings so far with any business.
No communication, never answer phones, they did once and put the phone down on me.
Because I asked questions that they couldn't give answers to.

All I can say is watch this space

Appointments cancelled at short notice…

Appointments cancelled at short notice and offered another six weeks later. Appointment times changed at short notice sometimes the day before the appointment . Staff are doing their best but are struggling because of poor management. Over sixty years of wearing a prosthetic leg I have never encountered such poor care . NHS should find another provider or take back in house.

Terrible service i have been waiting …

Terrible service i have been waiting since March to get new orthotic inserts after foot surgery went wrong. Delay after delay incompetent service. I had my first inserts at samuel johnson 2024 - these people took over. Without ever seeing me or looking at my records they triaged and deemed i had to buy my own inserts in 2025. Even though my surgeon had told them they were a specific requirement. I have had to call and call to try to get them to respond. When you ring you get people who dont seem connected to your needs. I will put in complaint with my surgeon.

No duty of care at Opcare

My internal liner for my prosthetic limb keeps shredding at the knee because the sloppy job they undertook when making the socket left the edges sharp around the inner and outer knee section.

I ordered a replacement 2 weeks ago and on checking progress was told that the prosthetic tech hadn't got around to placing the order. These things already take around 4 weeks from point of order. Asked for a call back and nothing after a further 2 days. My mobility is now gone and I'm at the mercy of an organisation that is charged with maintaining it.

Absolutely useless and pointless…

Absolutely useless and pointless service.
Was referred to these jokers by my doctor to arrange for a new ankle brace to help with a long standing condition. OpCare have just told me they don't supply braces and it's down to me to arrange and pay for one myself!!!
What's the point in working long hours an paying taxes any more in this country??
Unbelievable and totally pathetic.

Useless

Opcare Dreadful.
Supposed to be working for the NHS. Never answer the phones

One of these companies that’s got more parent group companies.

Useless

The NHS should find a company that can offer the service they say
