While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. Written by the company

Opel Tuners is an independent technical reference for people building and restoring classic Opels and rear-wheel-drive Opel-platform cars. We publish conversion-grade documentation across four areas: fuel injection and engine management, including Bosch L-Jetronic systems and CIH engine internals; suspension, brakes and chassis geometry; drivetrain and gearing; and full carb-to-injection conversion write-ups. Everything comes from real builds and measured figures rather than estimates, and we publish reader corrections when someone finds an error. The archive is free to read and carries no advertising. Optional Supporter and Patron memberships fund restoration of older reference material and the research behind new guides, but nothing is paywalled. Supporting is a choice, not a requirement for access. We are a publisher, not a workshop or a parts retailer. We don't sell components or perform installation work.

My mechanical vocabulary is really bad

My mechanical vocabulary is really bad, so explaining a torque tube mod to a shop was never going to go well. I printed the Torque Tube Modification page and put it on the counter instead. He read it, said this is fine, and quoted me on the spot. Whole conversation took four minutes.
