OpenFrame is an open-source, unified IT and security platform built for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). It brings together endpoint management, security monitoring, fleet management, and automation into one place, replacing the patchwork of expensive proprietary tools most MSPs are stuck paying for today. The platform is built on proven open-source foundations including TacticalRMM, MeshCentral, FleetMDM, and OSQuery. That means MSPs get enterprise-grade capabilities without the enterprise-grade vendor bill. Most MSPs pay 20-35% of their revenue back to traditional vendors. OpenFrame exists to change that math. OpenFrame also includes two AI copilots: Fae, which helps end-users resolve common IT issues on their own, and Mingo, which gives technicians intelligent assistance for diagnostics, troubleshooting, and automation. AI Guardrails keep everything safe and within policy. The platform is backed by the OpenMSP community, a network of MSPs sharing knowledge, best practices, and real-world deployment experience. OpenFrame is currently in beta with MSPs across the US, UK, and Australia actively testing and shaping the product. OpenFrame is made by Flamingo, a company focused on helping MSPs modernize their operations, cut costs, and deliver better service to their clients.

Trustable, accurate, fast.

We are looking at migrating from NinjaOne RMM which is a behemoth in the industry and charges like it. I've been impressed with the availability, speed, and effectiveness of the app and its agents as well as the integrated AI agent. Having the agent gated by technician approval is smart and something I would do were I designing a system like this.

An MSP platform made for modern MSPs!

An MSP platform made for modern MSPs!

I run a small 1-2 person MSP and Consulting company. So far, their system and AI features have been a huge help. Several of my customers have used their Fea AI to diagnose and resolve issues. I have also used the AI chat for technicians to do the same thing for more complex work, it was able to analyze, work around, and fix a recent complex issue I was having. Saved me a lot of time.

Efficient, Modern MSP Platform with Strong Potential

OpenFrame has been one of the most refreshing platforms I’ve tested in the MSP/IT space. The setup was straightforward, onboarding devices was quick, and the interface is clean without feeling stripped down. What stands out most is how they’re combining real operational visibility with practical AI tools that actually help instead of getting in the way.

OpenFrame brings monitoring, automation, remote access, and troubleshooting into one place, which makes it feel like a serious alternative to the usual expensive, fragmented MSP stack. I also appreciate the open-source-friendly mindset and the flexibility it gives teams that want more control.

The product still feels early in some areas, but the direction is strong, the platform is stable, and the team seems genuinely focused on building something useful. Definitely worth trying if you want to simplify your toolset and work more efficiently

Fantastic collection of powerful tools.

I have been working with Openframe throughout the beta process and have to say I am highly impressed with what they are building. Signup was simple and their product supports SSO through Microsoft, making it easy to onboard my technical team through their email address.

As far as the product itself, getting the agent up and running on an enrolled device is a quick powershell command with a possible reboot of the device. I enrolled my first device in about 30 seconds and started to see data rolling in to my tenant within a couple of minutes. I get all the data I need to evaluate the status of my managed devices and take action to address issues in a single portal that is easy on the eyes and simple to navigate.

Now the coolest feature of the product. They've integrated AI into the tools, for both the user and the back end technician. Fae can talk with the user and walk them through basic fixes, or even perform the fixes for the user. On the back end, Mingo is there to help quickly identify problems, not just on a single device, but across the entire network. It takes the troubleshooting time from hours of headache to just a few minutes of prompts and responses.

An MSP platform built on opensource

An MSP platform built on opensource - I had to give it a go!
There's a client side AI chatbot, Fae, which is helpful for local troubleshooting - and a chatbot for the platform itself Mingo, which is helpful for technical queries in general or for querying the machines you've installed it on. You get some inbuilt scripts you can run, things like network speed tests, or installed antiV products.
The remote desktop ability is good and stable.
They're bringing in a documentation module which should be super helpful, and I think Billing too.
It's still in Beta and the devs are v responsive to tweaks etc. If this can replace my various apps that do one thing, with a platform that does it all, I'll be paying for it when it's out of Beta.
