If your prepaid plan reaches the last…

If your prepaid plan reaches the last day, they will simply get all your credits and let you without 4g.

For three times it happened to me. Date reached, plan was €12.49 but I had only €10, and what they did? Just got my €10 and let me without 4g!!!

I can't write here what they really are, or this will be censored.

That is the lowest I have seen on any phone operator.

Terrible service

Terrible service.

Consumes all of one's Gigas for "one month" in a week (or 10 to 14 days at its generous most).

A criminal organization and ripoff.

It's fine until you have problems.

It's fine until you have problems.
I didn't use my sim for several months. In April, I checked that it was still active and therefore made a top-up that I was supposed to use the following month.
In May, before I could reuse the sim, it was deactivated without any reason or explanation and the recharged credit was withheld.
Every attempt to contact customer service failed.

Terrible Ortel. Definitely NOT recommended.

Expensive, bad deal

Costs 3 euros to top up your account from abroad. Bad coverage even for German standards and most importantly their data and rates are really overpriced.

SOLUTION (for lost service when you leave Germany)

I agree with many of the reviews. Ortel has horrible customer service and the last thing you want to do on your holiday is mess around with customer support garbage for hours on end. As soon as we crossed over from Germany to Austria we lost all data and phone service. I tried to solve the problem with customer support for a couple hours, with no success.

***SOLUTION***
Being a tech nerd, I dug deep into my phone settings under Connections > Mobile Networks and dug around until I found a spot where I could re-assign my sim to sim2. Along with allowing Roaming, that solved the the problem. Now I have data and phone in Austria! I hope this helps someone...it's a shame they didn't explain this to me at the Mobile store in the first place :(

Not reliable

Not reliable. For some reason I could text/call some numbers but not others. I checked the format of the various numbers and saw no difference. I would get a failure notice with no explanation

The worst service ever.

The worst service ever. They don't know how to communicate with people. My post identification code was wrong and they had sent it wrong 5 times and made me go to the post office 5 times. Then they blocked the sim. So basically I lost my number because of their fault.

Ortel Scammers SIM Card Internet Data

I bought an Ortel SIM card in one of the Ortel’s representative shops in Berlin. The Ortel SIM card strangely had been registered by the shop on a name of a different person.

The internet was running out really fast, I tracked my usage. There was a problem with the SIM as I used 60GB of internet but Ortel SIM card run out of data when it should give me 110GB of data usage in total.

I called Ortel costumer service, they are unfriendly, lazy and incompetent. They never helped me and pretended that the problem was me. After that, they blamed their Ortel representative shop.

There are two-way fraud scamming techniques that they are using: 1. Change the name of the SIM card, so they can run out the SIM card data, so costumers need to pay extra money for the service. 2. Changing the SIM card name will make costumers loose nearly one month of their package. Both of this unlawful techniques are benefiting Ortel, their representative shops, extorting and stealing consumers' money in the process.

Please avoid this company. It’s part of O2 and they are experts at extorting consumers!

I was charged with 19 Euros for 32 Mb

I was charged with 19 Euros for 32 Mb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My plan renewal (Small world) did not go through because I had 19 Euros in my account and not the 20 Euros necessary for the automatic renewal. They took all the money in a couple of hours. I called them, but they could not care less about it!
Stay away from these thieves!

Terrible

In relation to ortelmobile in Germany, I had issue with them deducting money for internet packages, They basically have used €30 of my credit. I now have no credit nor internet for over 2 weeks. I emailed the customer service twice in 4 days without any reply. I then called them twice and I was told it would be looked after and I would be called back within 24 hours. One week later and I have heard nothing and I'm still without internet or a credit refund. I understand that errors can happened but I expect them to rectify and look after and definitely not to be ignore for what is now 2 weeks.

I'm shockingly dissappointed, and furhter more even though it's a prepaid sim they want me to pay a further €30 if I want to leave them and bring my number. what a disgrace. I have no contract, why should I pay, this is the whole idea of going pre-paid in the first place.
