While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Otio is an AI research workspace built for people who work with large volumes of information - researchers, academics, PhD students, consultants, and analysts who need to do more than just chat with a single document. The problem Otio solves is simple: collecting and organising sources is exhausting, and by the time you've gathered everything you need, you're too depleted to synthesise it properly. Otio handles both sides - a persistent workspace where your sources live (PDFs, videos, podcasts, YouTube links, CSVs, audio files, web pages, ePubs, and more), combined with the ability to chat across all of them using any major AI model and create real, exportable deliverables from your material. Unlike most AI tools that lock you into a single model or cap how many files you can work with, Otio gives every user access to all AI models - Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, Kimi, and Llama - and all features, including Deep Research, OCR for scanned documents, data visualisation, and document creation. No feature gating, no model restrictions. Otio is built, maintained, and based in London. Over 200,000 researchers and professionals use Otio to organise their sources, synthesise complex information, and produce work they can actually send.

Otioai Pro: Boosts Productivity, Though Requires Careful Review

I initially gave Otio.ai a glowing 5-star review after upgrading to the Pro package, and while I still believe it's a valuable tool that has significantly improved my workflow, I've adjusted my rating to 4 stars.

Otio.ai remains a powerful asset for my work, greatly enhancing efficiency and accuracy. The Pro features are indeed a game-changer, and I stand by my statement that it's a worthwhile investment. However, I've encountered instances where the AI hallucinates, even with straightforward queries analyzing clear, unambiguous text. This occasional inaccuracy, while not a constant issue, does impact the reliability and requires careful review of the output.

While it's still a fantastic product that saves me considerable time, the occasional hallucination prevents me from giving it a perfect score. I continue to use Otio.ai and find it beneficial, but I'd love to see further improvements in its consistency and accuracy.
