Found two jobs with WTTJ (Otta)
I've used Otta (Welcome to the Jungle) twice now to find a full time job and I could not recommend it more. No other platform in the world serves me personalized job ad recommendations. Great stuff!
The name is horrible
The name is horrible. Bad choice regarding the name, I still call the app Otta.
Also, the idea is quite ineffective. Applying through them with my profile didn't gain me much traction. They don't allow adding a resume, which I can polish to my liking.
On the plus side, they are easier to handle than LinkenIn, Reed, or Indeed. The UI/UX is definitely one of their advantages.
Awesome product
Awesome product. Very mobile friendly, functional, intuitive and easy to use. Curated suggestions make it easy to find and apply to multiple relevant roles.
Sorting into different piles (applied, interviewing, saved, offered) is also very helpful.
Lost its spark
Lost its spark. Used to be amazing for quality jobs where a decent chance of hearing back and interviewing happened. Now the quality has dropped massively as they need to grow and let more through the jet I suppose. There is active discrimination by companies. I applied for one and clearly was not chosen as I didn't have a "Muslim name", like the rest of the employees listed on the website.
I reported this to support but heard nothing back.
Relevant jobs
Great interface, great job filtering. I’m able to see roles that are related to my role and relevant to me
A game-changer for job searches
I’ve had an excellent experience using this platform, as it’s helped me secure not one but two jobs in the UK. The interface is straightforward and makes navigating job descriptions and company information a breeze. The standout feature for me is the visa sponsorship filter, which has been critical as I was initially searching for roles from a different country. This feature matched me with the right companies and played a pivotal role in my job search. After moving to the UK, it also helped me secure another role when I decided to switch jobs.
One of the things I truly appreciate is how the service continues to evolve. The addition of salary benchmarks powered by data from various companies has been a great help in assessing and aligning opportunities with expectations.
That said, there’s always room for improvement, and I’d like to suggest a few features that could make this platform even better:
1. While the auto-generated CV is useful, it doesn’t suit everyone. Allowing users to upload their own CVs or providing more customisable templates would enhance the application process.
2. Introducing user-defined or pre-built stages for tracking applications (e.g., Screening -> Technical Interview -> Cultural Fit) would be a huge help. Improving the UI for easier navigation and readability across applications would also be great.
3. Adding a feature to take notes about different applications and their stages would be very practical.
4. Let users sort applications based on their interview experience, with options to like/dislike, add comments, and potentially send feedback to the companies.
5. Applications often sit in the "Application Started" section without updates. It would be helpful to have a dedicated section prompting users to clarify the status of older applications to keep the list clean and up to date.
I’m giving 4 stars because I genuinely love the platform and want to see it grow even further. These improvements would make it unbeatable in the job search space.
Thank you for creating such an incredible tool that has been instrumental in my career journey. Keep up the amazing work!

Super useful tool for the job search
Excellent place to find postings, apply to jobs, and manage the job search. I recommend to everyone I know who is searching
Salary's no longer listed?!
While using this platform at Otta I think it was absolutely brilliant - in fact i've been using it for years. It's now Welcome to the Jungle and while the platform is still relatively unchanged, I've noticed that most of the jobs now don't list a salary. This is one of the most frustrating things about job searching and unfortunately it's no longer the first platform I reach for when job searching because of this.
Great platform to find jobs in the UK.
Great platform to find jobs in the UK.
Number of useful filters to tailor the job search relevant to one's experience.
I loved the platform as a job seeker
I loved the platform as a job seeker! The information available is great and it’s easy to use! They also put on some great DEI focused events and I’ve managed to secure my next role through Otta!
no results.
no results of remote work work-login, no proof of contract, and why I casual contracts cant be issued.
Great site / Application
I love when the companies on the site give responses good or bad. The sites filter is a great feature that helps you find what’s exactly for you.
Non of the jobs seem to go anywhere
Non of the jobs seem to go anywhere. No rejection, no answers. I'm also not a fan of how you pick the sector you want to be in.
Clear job board
Clear job board, laid out simply to make things quick to review. Good company analysis.
Great UX compared to other job boards
I love the platform
I love the platform. Clean interface, relevant jobs. I had way better response rates from job I applied to with Otta compared to other popular job boards including the job offer I just got. Thanks, Otta!
Otta is my #1 tool for finding job opportunities
Otta is extremely helpful for finding new job opportunities. They ensure each listing is legitimate and each company gets a synopsis written about them from an Otta professional. I really appreciate the seamless interface and how user friendly it is. Lastly and most importantly, in comparison to other job boards, they don't flood your feed with tons of jobs you've already seen or applied for.
Otta is a fantastic site for job hunting
Otta is a fantastic site for job hunting—you'll always find plenty of opportunities. Personally, I haven't been very lucky. Out of every 10 applications, I typically receive 8 auto-rejections, 1 interview invitation, and 1 with no response.
While there are many remote positions available, most are restricted to candidates within the same country. Despite having applied to over 200 jobs on Otta without success, I haven't given up hope. In fact, a friend of mine secured a job through Otta.com two years ago, which even included relocation from Lagos, Nigeria to the UK.
Helpful and straightforward
The company and funding summaries are helpful, and it's a straightforward, clean interface with accurate remote status for jobs. Otta also has some of the best AI wordsmithing for resume entries I've encountered.
