I've decided to give 2/5 since although the site is really nice, I've not had any positive application experiences so far, which is ultimately the main goal of the site.

Pros:
- The site has a stylish, simple UI that is nice to use.
- The personalised search is very useful.
- Job descriptions are very easy to read and understand.
- Key job details (e.g. tech stack & salary) are very easy to see from the job descriptions.

Areas for improvement:
- The personalised search is slightly painful to adjust, since you have to jump to a certain page of the search filters, update the values, then jump to the final page of the search in order to see the "Finish" button.
- There is currently no workflow for failed applications. I just have to "Remove" the applications from the "Applied" section of my dashboard, which then marks the jobs as "Seen", and doesn't track anywhere that I've been rejected from that application.
- Rejections are done via messages from the company, rather than an official rejection flow.
- Messages cannot be archived, making it hard to stay on top of inbox messages. It also makes it painful to look at your inbox when most of the messages/conversations are rejection messages.
- The default Otta application rejection message is very impersonal, and gives no real feedback to the applicant. I've applied to multiple jobs now where I've been sent back the same default Otta rejection response message of "Thanks for taking the time to apply to X. Unfortunately we have decided not to progress your application, as your application was not as strong as other candidates." - this hasn't helped me at all, and has left me feeling pretty demotivated about applying to any other roles via Otta, especially when the rejection message is almost immediate for an application that I've spent a long time personalising my application answers for.
- No feedback flow for users to give feedback to the app, hence I've had to share my thoughts on TrustPilot instead.

I am still really excited about Otta, but I've really found the rejection flow to be disappointing and demoralising.

The recommendations are on point! It's good to have the noise filtered out.

Honest website to find jobs as Software Engineer.
It displays lot of useful information about the company you are matched with: glassdoor score, average response time, fundings.
Also the search settings are very configurable: technologies you like or do not want to work with, preferred fields, type of job (eg. Data Science, Software Engineer, Data Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer), experience (intern, entry, senior, ..)

A really good platform that makes you feel and look special, simplifies your admin/user journey and offers you really relevant roles.

Loved my experience with Otta. Their job matches are always relevant and the choice of companies they work with is quite wide.

Otta really helped my job seeking right from CV building until receiving the Offer.

Well-designed experience and different where you feel informed about the companies and not overwhelmed by recruiters.

The process for finding and applying for jobs on otta is really efficient. Very helpful that the tech stacks are shown as labels on each job, makes it easy to scan quickly if its the right job. The preference mechanics for filtering results was a little hit and miss for me but the tech stack I preferred was pretty rare to begin with. Overall, extremely useful and would definitely use again!

They are aggregating jobs from external sources onto to their website now.

What that means for the user, is you fill out Otta' forms/application to be told you have to apply via the the clients website.. on 3 occasions (3 out of 3) this morning, i have had to redo entire applications due to this.

What would take 30 minutes has taken over an hour already.

Great to have relevant opportunities, company insights and application support all in one place. Great user experience also being able to track progress of applications - albeit in many cases this requires some manual effort.

So effective and efficient, really helps individuals utilise all tools to help them be the most successful during applications and interviews.

Otta is a great platform for job searchers. It’s easy to use and filter so that you see relevant job listings that hit your requirements. You get far more information on the position and the company than I have seen anywhere else! Applying through Otta is also a very smooth process. Having found my new job through Otta, I am very grateful, and love the fact Otta donate to your chosen charity as a congratulations!
