Being a forensic psychologist I record my consults using otter. It is extremely accurate and useful. New features keep being added further enhancing the functionality and utility. I have recommended to many colleagues and friends who find it equally useful. I have been using otter Pro since 2022 and find it invaluable.

I love Otter. It helps me with summarizing my meetings with clients and internal meetings. I have been using it for a few years as a recruiter and it saves me hours a day. It's allowed me to just focus on the conversations instead of if I am capturing everything as I did for years before by transcribing during the meeting.

I utilized Otter.ai to transcribe a sermon that was previously recorded. I was very pleased with the accuracy of the message, with the exception of scripture references. This is minor to me in transcription. I also like the summary feature and action items. This helps for future series or ideas of the main points within the sermon. Otter.ai gave me the ability to add to the action items, such as a task or note list. Otter.ai is an excellent choice for clergy or public presenters who require audio transcription.

This doesn’t work when using Apple earbuds and causes distort which makes it unusable

I've had Otter.ai for a few years now and I have to say it's a must if one needs to transcribe and keep meeting notes. It also has an added bonus of saving my hands and helping me deal with arthritis that has increasingly made it difficult for me to type at full speed with few breaks like I used to. Now I can utilize the recording and transcription features and it really helps keep me productive at the same level I've always had. And this program is intuitive - i.e. the more one uses it the better it gets. It's also much more affordable and user friendly than other programs I've tried in the past, so what's not to love?

I have used Otter for several years. Although there are a few bugs to work out once in a while, the program has been extremely helpful to me in my interviews for writing projects.

It was easy to use for transcribing a lecture I liked, plus the few mistakes doe to the sound quality were easy to pinpoint and fix. I also liked liked the summary feature of Otter.ai which is very handy in making reports and bullet pointing a long talk.

It is helpful in writing my notes for meeting minutes, allowing me to engage in the meeting and not worry about jotting notes while in the meeting.

I started using Otter hesitantly six months ago, but it has been a game-changer for me as a solopreneur. Before Otter, I struggled to take notes during meetings and often missed important nuances. Otter allowed me to focus on the conversation in real time without worrying about missing any details. After meetings, Otter AI streamlined my sales journaling and helped me analyze progress using the MEDDICC framework.

As we step into 2025, I’ve noticed that some participants feel uneasy about AI chatbots in meetings. To address this, I would highly appreciate a more privacy-conscious approach, such as including a prior message in all calendar invites: "This meeting will be recorded on Otter. If you have any concerns, please contact the organizer." This would ensure transparency and foster a more comfortable environment for all attendees.

I use Otter.ai in so many ways in my business. Whether it is providing transcripts for my podcast or developing action items from team and client meetings. Otter.ai has opened up my time and helped me and my team on follow-through making us so much more efficient.

Otter has helped us immeasurably in discussions about writing a book about a therapists. Working title:
"Duel Journey
--the things I learned
from the people I helped"

Particularly useful are the summaries which invariably capture the important issues as well as action points to keep the project on course and keeping all participants on the same page. (In fact, the summaries usually sound better than the transcripts.)

Otter has been most helpful!! I'm an Executive Assistant and have always hated taking meeting notes but Otter has made this so effortless and easy, I literally just record the meetings and Otter does the rest perfectly! I don't have to think or guess - it even gives the follow up actions. I'm very happy!!

Otter.ai has changed the way i work. i love that it can connect to my calendar, but I prefer the ability to separately record a conversation on the app on my phone or iPad. Its then easy to export the summary and or transcript. That being said using the Chat AI feature is great to pullout certain content and workshop ideas or evolve the conversation

I use Otter.ai to transcribe classes for my students. It has been such a great tool and my HS students appreciate and even take the tool further into college.
Students are able to get a summary of the class (which is especially useful when they are absent), make questions about the class and even create quizzes for them to practice what they have learned. My school sponsors the yearly subscription with plans to extend it to the staff.

I also use it to transcribe meetings so that I can focus on the meeting and not taking notes.

If you are an educator, this app is going to change how you teach and how your students learn, so I highly recommend it.

A god sent of an AI tool, I wish I tried it sooner!
As someone working flexibly and having loads of virtual meetings, Otter has simplified so many processes in my work life that I have now started to use it in my personal life too!
I love the recording function for in person meetings and phone calls, Otter transcribes my convos, gives me a summary and an action item list. You can even ask questions and the system provides useful prompts for this at the end of the recording.
I absolutely love this tool and I've been recommending it to anyone!

Support does not respond to account enquiries. Unethical business practise. Bad to average transcription. Avoid.

I've been using Otter for about a month now and it has been fantastic! It's there when you need it and stays out of the way of interruptions. It's there for every meeting and takes all the notes for you which allows you to stay focused on your meeting topics. Once the meeting ends Otter recaps all your notes and sends them every person on call which saves them time as well. I love the fact that I can refer back to the notes whenever I want, and it shows everyone that was on the call in case I need to follow up with them on any topics. This is simply marvelous!

Utilizing Otter.ai for my meetings ensures we can be efficient as possible and focus on staying present in the meeting. We have the assurance that our notes will be kept accurately.

What makes my experience great with otter is that it allows to rest my arm have a disability. I can still get all of mine notes and assignments done. I can still be a part of meetings and run a meeting successfully. Thank you so much for this assistive technology that allows me to still get my work done.

Tried Otter.ai free for a tool to help me with educational work. Initially it did what it says and the idea is great. However, I had an issue with the amount that I used (which I had initially not realised and no fault of Otter.ai), but it wouldn't allow me to access audio or transcript without paying for the tool. I contacted customer services on several occasions for urgent support, but after a week still no reply. Really disappointed. Great idea, terrible customer service.
