This is a program to create one of the largest datasets for health related research. It will be accessible by researchers to develop future medicines and treatment some of which may be commercial. Commercial research is how most new treatments are created, contributing toward this project is a small way to help us all have the prospect of healthier futures.

As many others have commented, you are giving away to a private company, your personal details and your DNA profile. For me it will not be an issue BUT with a little extrapolation using my wife's profile, the future health risks that my now adult children face, and my grand children will be available for anyone who pays to see it. That is a huge privacy issue as we are not assured that the data given will not be attached to our identity. The NHS already hold our medical records and a similar study is taking place within the NHS and under the control of the Data Protection Act, The Future Health study is not as you will have signed away your privacy rights for only £10. DON'T DO IT!

I received this letter to join but soon realised that I will have to attend a clinic and give my blood to be used for maybe something I don't agree with? for life! They will not share any results with me and they give me just £10.

Got a letter to day thought it was bit suspicious after coming on here reading the comments think i was right. Its probably not related but no one i know has had a letter, i'm unvaccinated.
Just wondering how many people on hear didn't have the jab also.

Received this letter, carefully designed to make you think you will give some blood tests and they will tell you potential dna related disease risks you have. Wrong! You give your blood, and your consent to share LIFETIME health data, then they give you £10 voucher, and they say goodbye, they dont share any results with you. They are treating you like guinea pigs and sell your dna & health data.

My letters went straight in the shredder, as the more information you give out via the internet, the more you leave yourself open to attacks and scams on your system and mobile.

If you have any concerns afterwards there is no support or communication. I had two needle marks after giving blood and have a query about the needle used and some other hygiene concerns. I have emailed support twice, telephoned and was told I would receive an email. I have now emailed complaints but it seems once they have what they want they will not communicate.
Felt I was doing a positive thing but regret it now.

I am not convinced this is legitimate. They have used the NHS logo on their letterhead and I am concerned that this is more of a business venture rather than robust scientific research.

Meanwhile, they collect an awful lot of information on us for a £10 voucher.

After looking into Professor Sir John Bell, Chairman of Our Future Health, there appears to be a conflict of interest between OFH and Roche Pharmaceutical.

With so many scams and ways of stealing our data going, I'm going to decline. If people want to get involved in scientific research you are better to inquire in Cambridge or Oxford university hospitals which are legit.

I have received a letter but have not yet decided what to do as I am still researching the company. However, despite what some negative reviews say, when I scanned the QR code I was not asked for a credit card number. I couldn't find anywhere that they divulge information to Tiktok and they are partly funded by the government. There is an article about the company on the BBC news website. Do your research first, get the facts and then make an informed decision rather than relying on some of the hysterical views here. If I decide to go ahead I will post an update.

Come on! This is so obviously a scam to get people's data so they can be sold medicine or treatment privately. Just like in the US, subscribers will be bombarded with questionnaires which will lead them to believe they need such-and-such a medication while the NHS bleeds money (and credibility by association). There ought to be a law against this.

Went for my blood test and blood pressure appointment today in Chichester and low and behold no one there. There was a sign saying no appointments today due to unforeseen circumstances. I received a text and email at 10.13 which was 7 minutes before I was supposed to arrive for my 10.40 appointment. Apparently they like us there 15 mins before appointment. Asked Boots staff...was told by very nice lady at pharmacy that they often don't turn up on a Sunday What a waste of a day and expensive parking.

It's not a scam as a fair few seem to believe; nor is it a conspiracy. I believe future generations will benefit more than we will at the moment; although I was told if there are any issues identified from my blood sample I will be contacted. Here's hoping they don't contact me!

after reading what they do with our personal and sensitive information and who they share it with. Never in a million years. Before signing up read there terms and how they use your information and who they share it with like TIKTOK and other overseas countries. Thet evn tell you that have no control over what tiktoc do with your information so it can be sold to anyone. Read there policies this is most important

Nurse explained data that would be collected, and provided immediate results on some important health measures. Useful and quick for me and hopefully valuable for future generations. I recommend joining.

I received a letter yesterday saying about taking part in a research program, this sounded interesting but I am very wary about scams. I phoned my GP they were not sure about it and told me about the reviews on here. I started giving my details but stopped. I just phoned them and said I wanted them to delete all details that I have given them. They said they will send an e-mail and I can just press a button and all details would be removed. I will wait until I get it to see how it is worded but I do not want to go through with this company they sound very plausible but there is something not right about it. I do not want to give them my medical details.

I have just received a THIRD letter from these people...within a month !! I read the first, looked online for public feedback and decided to bin it. Just how desperate is this organisation for personal data? to continue sending copies through the postal system (NOT cheap these days!). However, after giving it more thought I decided to throw my comments out there on the Net. Is OFH reeally "in partnership" with the NHS? What on earth can they find out that our NHS doesn't already have on our personal DATA records...nicely chronologically kept for all professional staff to see and use, all for OUR benefits. Keep well clear!

I got suspicious when I received a letter from Our Future Health yesterday. I Googleed for reviews and read all here.
If it's for disease prevention, why GPs don't do checks and monitor our health but some "charity" organisation?! No, it doesn't sound right, I'm not giving my blood for some dodgy genetic trials.

Avoid this! I received the letter and thought it would be a good opportunity to get my cholesterol levels checked as I am only offered this at my GPs every five years. However on arrival at the Boots store in Newark, in spite of posters saying it involved checking blood pressure and cholesterol, I was told by a rude, cold and obviously disinterested member of staff that they were not testing for cholesterol anymore since January. So it was a wasted journey for me and I did not go through with the tests and left. It all felt very wrong when I got there and not what I was expecting. Wish I had read these reviews first!

This is big pharma getting your DNA data for a tenner! You wouldn’t willing give a blueprint of yourself to anyone, but these guys disguise it as “research”. BE CAREFUL and my advice (like many others on here) would be to STEER CLEAR!

I received a letter to get involved in OFH research. Looking deeper I found these reviews.
I am all for supporting preventative health and have taken part in research at my local NHS hospitals research department.
With this however I am not convinced and it is not easy to find out how much Raghib Ali is getting paid (bearing in mind this is a charity). End of 2023 one member of staff I assume is the CEO got paid 220,001 - 230,000 pounds. Anyway I won't be signing up, I support anything to save our NHS to remain free from the hands of privatisation and not selling my data for others financial gain.
