No customer service - it appears lost £130.00

Ordered some outdoor lightening which apparently was delivered to a post office. Went to the post office but they don’t have it. Contacted the company and they say it was delivered but still not received. Sent them 10 emails but all ignored. Called them several times but not answered the telephone number. Sent them voice mails as they don’t answer the telephone. Post office tried to contact the sender but to no avail. I am at a loss as to what to do, I have paid for these lights but not got them and it seems the company just don’t want to know. It appears I have lost my money.

Awful firm

Awful firm: ordered garden lights early October, still no sign. Difficult to reach them by phone , online impossible and on the chat-line one has little or no success to get answers.
Basically what shows available and ready to deliver in a couple of days never turns up.
Would avoid this firm or any which does not answer the phones.

See a few other 1 star reviews but that wasn't our experience at all. Fast delivery, everything turned up in 1 piece and we got all the lighting installed and set up quickly too. Everything has been installed for approx 6 months now and working fantastically.

Terrible shop

Terrible shop, run by amateurs. First my order arrived in dribs and drabs, all very late. One of the lights arrived shattered and when I asked for a replacement the seller refused because it had taken me 6 weeks to get around to fit it which he thinks is too long. One part of the order never arrived and the seller refused to replace it because he had proof of package delivery - but it was missing from the package! The lights came boxed in used boxes from other manufacturers. The phone line is never answered and voice messages are not returned. Overall it feels like an unprofessional operation and they do not even offer the best prices available. I would strongly urge you to avoid this seller.

I purchased several LASIDE up/Down…

I purchased several LASIDE up/Down lighters recently the specification of the bulbs where 2*35W. Upon installing the unit was left on overnight and melted. This product is clearly unsuitable for 35 Watt bulbs and despite writing to LASIDE I have had no response to my issue
Be very weary of purchasing this product…..

Ordered several Nordlux lights in the…

Ordered several Nordlux lights in the run up to Christmas from the website. Discovered I had ordered a couple of the wrong ones - so called through with a returns query.
Telephoned late on the weekend to discuss and Richard was super helpful.
Maintained communication over email and always received a same day reply.
It was super helpful knowing an order placed on the web was being handled by people with names and had not disappeared into an internet black-hole.
The run-up to Christmas was greatly affected by postal strikes but these guys did brilliantly to get my replacement order dispatched and with comms all the way in time for the big day.
The refund on the returned lights was also prompt and as described.
I would NOT hesitate to order from here again. Brilliant and thanks again to the whole team.

So far, so bad..

EDIT: Outdoor Lighting have tried to get this review moved but I have submitted evidence to Trustpilot to show this is a genuine order and experience. It is 12 months since I had this poor experience and have still not received my refund! AVOID :(

I am TRYING to return an item. It took 7 days to respond to my return request email (why even have such a manual process?!). The website suggests that I will receive a shipping label, only they just emailed me the address (not label) and said a GRN will be with sometime and I should keep an eye out... This is already the slowest, most inconvenient return I have ever done and it's going to be a while before I get my money back (if ever..) because they are going to email me again (manually..) when the item is received and have already proved to be very slow. This is not acceptable in the 21 century and could really do with the money not taking weeks to come back to me before Christmas. All this after I want to return the items because they require a lot of assembly, which was not mentioned on the item description.

9 copper downlighters

I ordered 9 copper downlighter that were delivered really quickly but sadly three of them had a lens issue. After sending an email with photos, a guy called Chris said they would be exchanged immediately and sent a return label and explained a courier would pick them up two days later. The replacement lights were received the very next day - all perfect. What a great service and thanks Chris, appreciated.

Spammer

They are sending a lot of spam emails and totally ignore any unsubscribe requests. I would never even consider buying from a company that behaves in this way.

Update 31.03.2022:
Trustpilot has informed me that Outdoor Lighting is actively trying to get my review removed. I forwarded the last few spam emails to Trustpilot and hope they do the right thing and don’t remove legitimate reviews for profit. We’ll see.

Shocking - Avoid at all costs

This company is hands down, one of the worst I've had the misfortune of wasting my money and time on.

I ordered a light fitting with additional shades over the BF Weekend in November. The delivery timescales were dispatch and deliver within 14 days which would mean I could install in time for Christmas, nowhere on the web site at that time was there any warning of delayed dispatches or to deliveries to customers. There was also no mention on any of the product pages that I purchased from that they were not in stock.

I ordered, paid and waited.

After a week, I chased for an update on the dispatch and this is where the pain of contacting them began. They have zero customer service skills, so be warned, you'll get next to no help.

You can't call them, as their phone lines are for "sales" only and want all CS comms to be recorded in writing. Fair, but rubbish at the same time as a call would be easier and can be followed up by email - Instead, the useless contact I had the miss fortune of speaking with had me going back and forth on email for near 3 months. I'll refer to them as T

Turns out, after me chasing them for info, the products weren't in stock and were stuck somewhere in ports and on a container ship, so, even though T advised they would arrive in time, they didn't.
After chasing and finally asking for a cancellation and refund on 20/12, I was told I couldn't do this as the product was dispatched and I'd need to refuse when they were eventually delivered, although no ETA or date could be provided.

5/1/22 - 2 of 3 boxes are delivered by DPD, absolutely destroyed. Both large boxes contained 3-4 glass shades, the boxes themselves were crushed and one had a football sized hole in the side of it. Box 3 was not delivered - I chased OL and received a less than helpful response from T. I was asked to provide photos, which I did, also advised I wouldn't check the inner contents as they would be glass that could have been damaged and spill into my house or cause harm.

T said they would confirm with the warehouse on next steps, however didn't reply to me, I chased on 6/1 and was advised the same, then asked if I could confirm damage to the products again - Once again i confirm I wasn't opening the inner boxes to check this but provided photos.

Again, I didn't receive a reply.

On 10/1 I received an email advising the collection was booked for the following day (11/1) with DPD. I was out of the UK on holiday and couldn't get someone in short notice so asked to rearrange. The collection went ahead anyway and DPD wasted a journey - I received an email from T on 14/1 to advise collection would be arranged once I returned and once again, was asked for confirmation if the items were damaged.

On 17/1 I emailed to advise my availability to arrange a return, as well as confirming a further time, I was not checking if the glass was broken.

Collection was finally made on 21/1 by DPD - The 3rd box was located by DPD in their warehouse and returned. I emailed confirmation of my returns tracking to OL's and asked for an eta on the refund. They never responded.

On 4/2 I emailed to chase the returns and refund. T responded 3 days later on 7/2 advising they would follow up, they didn't.

I emailed that night to express my dissatisfaction at the lack of any support offered. This was not acknowledged.

8/2 - Finally, the order was cancelled and a full refund processed.

To this point, not a single apology for such a poor experience and wasting my time.

** 01/04, TrustPilot contacted me to say OutdoorLighting had requested info from me to validate the experience I've reviewed and possibly attempt to "Help". Given the 3 months of hassle they put me through I decided they could shove any offer of help and declined. However they then disputed the legitimacy of my review and tried to have it taken down so I've had to waste more of my time sending documents to prove my order and experience with TP.
