I will be returning the owl

I will be returning the owl. The sound and video are awful on this owl. I bought refurbished assuming Owl had tested this product to ensure it worked but it appears you sold me a busted owl. The video was blurry and the camera looked like it was constantly dirty. The audio would come in and out. I know it was an issue with the Owl specifically because my second paired Owl had none of these issues.

No more nonprofit program :(

The device is cool, camera quality is less than desirable - especially for a $900 device. Microphone and speaker works well, though. Sad that there's no more nonprofit program discount. Overall, it's a good tool, just not very impressed with the quality of video.

Poor quality product - not worth the money at all.

We wanted something to help us with our hybrid face to face/remote meetings, and opted for the owl 3. Unfortunately it is a really poor quality product. The audio mainly is unworkable, we tried a combination of several environments, hardware, software, but nothing came close to acceptable. The video is poor too.

We took it upon us to try those different combinations and kept hoping the Owl would become usable but that never happened, the return window elapsed, and now we're left with a product worth over £1K that we can't use at all! Customer service tried to help but to no avail, they weren't listening to our concerns.

Avoid at all costs

The products (Owl Bar) and Owl 4+ are not fit for purpose with low quality audio and poor software updates / issues that have further aggravated the situation.

The customer service is low grade with no empathy, understanding or admission of fault. Do not purchase from this business.

Unfortunately cannot get support in UK

Unfortunately cannot get support in UK, called the UK number was told by automated system that the opening hours are between 9 and 5 called at 12:00 midday.

Sent email to them they stated the Owl 3 needs to be updated in software, the only way to do this is to connect to a laptop and use the Owl app.

But the problem I have is the laptops are not picking up the Owl. The customer service is very poor not getting any response back.

Outstanding Customer Service and Great Product

I’m highly impressed with the incredible customer service from Owl Labs! The camera on our device broke two months after the warranty expired. They not only replaced it for free but also upgraded us to the latest model. (Special thank you to Dale, who was beyond friendly and obliging throughout the process.)

On top, the Meeting Owl is a great product which makes our hybrid meetings a more seamless and engaging experience.

This level of dedication to customers, combined with a fantastic product earns this company the best possible rating.

The product has several glitches

The product has several glitches, the two most frequent are: Low Volume in our boardroom. It is really low volume they say this is to eliminate background noise?
The second is that connection with video conferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom ect.) often requires a hard reboot.
For us the product does not work and was quiet expensive. The support team is helpful and interested but we are going in circles here.

Very low quality customer service

I'm amazed by the poor quality of the customer service.
We have an Owl 3 + extended mic in our conference room for about 2 months.
Everything worked fine, then stopped working. It happens, I sell connected hardware too, I know how it can be.
I contacted the customer service that first sends me to the troubleshooting section. I did all the procedures patiently. Then they asked for photos and audio samples under different conditions. I followed instructions and made all the different tests (different settings, different computers, different rooms, different conference software, etc.). Almost 2 hours later, I had a pretty convincing case: the device was not working in any configuration.
Their answer ? "The problem is the room". Well, I tried it in 5 different rooms, some without any echo, and the problem is still there.
When I insist that it cannot be the room, they answer "that they cannot do anything and are sorry if I don't like the product".
I insist, quite amazed by the answer. Now they're going with "let's wait for the next firmware update in a couple of weeks to see if it helps".
Seriously? You sell a 2000$ device that breaks after 2 months, and you give me that crap of excuses and service? You're not even considering that there might be a malfunctioning device?
I'd advise anyone I know to stay away from Owllabs - probably the worst product and service I've ever bought.

OWL completely stopped working

OWL completely stopped working, No eyes lighting up no sound coming out - dead in the water and less than a year old and never actually been used. No customer service available. I would say - don't invest in this product. It's 2 thumbs down on technical support/troubleshooting.

Not an enterprise solution

Not an enterprise solution. I have opened two tickets in the last 2 weeks. No response from Owl Labs other than the auto reply "we are experiencing higher than usual response times...." I went through the demo, which was great. But once you receive the device and begin trying to decipher how to integrate it into your Office 365 environment, you realize it was inadequate to put it nicely. Beyond that the support has been non-existent. This is a $5000 system and I unfortunately will have to box it back up and return it. Two thumbs down

Beautiful Design, Horrible Product.

We used an OWL 3 and HQ at an offsite meeting and loved it, so we purchased our own. But the technical requirements for set-up reminded me of setting up a network in 1999! Absolutely horrible! Thank goodness we bought a test one first because we wanted to role out 100 company-wide! Owl needs to make the process easier, and not require Admin level knowledge! Plus - if you don't have Microsoft of Google Admin's - you're completely out of luck!

Our OWL 3 has made all the difference…

Our OWL 3 has made all the difference in our group therapy sessions. We have many clients that participate virtually and the OWL helps immerse them in the session like no other device we have tried. It truly makes our virtual programming stand out like no other! Their customer service is also excellent. They are very responsive and pleasant to deal with.

These new Owl 3's stink!!

These new Owl 3's stink!!! They will not pair properly. Support at Owl Labs is non-existent. They have NO SUPPORT for their products!!! I have called and emailed and get no responses. Do not buy OWL LABS if you will need any assistance.

Zero technical support -- unacceptable

I bought a Meeting Own 3 about two weeks ago, but can never get the desktop (Windows) installed without crashing my system. Like what other people commented, my attempts to reach out to Owl Labs via email and phone got zero response. I have never experienced anything like this before and have lost confidence in the product and company. I was planning to return the product to get a refund, if only someone from Owl Labs could reply to my inquiries. I'm now forced to dispute the change via my credit card company.

9/2/2022 update:
I finally got a response from technical support after more than a week and was promised a refund. So I withdrew my billing dispute with the credit card company. BUT the refund never came after more than two weeks, despite being told that the refund has been processed. So, I had to reinstate my dispute. This has been such a disappointing experience, a failure of the company on all fronts.

Zero Customer Service Support

My Owl stopped working and I've reached out to customer support via email and phone with no response. Does anyone work there anymore? No one picks up the phone.

I've done all the troubleshooting tips, and nothing works. I now have a 3-year-old $1,000 device that doesn't work.

Terrible Customer Service.

First and foremost the worst customer service I've experienced. That is to say they seem non existent. Cannot reach anyone by phone for the past two days, No one responds to their online widget nor do they answer any of the three emails that I have sent.

The Meeting Owl Pro has extremely poor video quality and I can't comment on the sound since we cannot use this system for our meetings.

Very nice concept and great if it works or any issues could be solved but all of this means nothing if you don't get support.
