Wrong pot size sent

Ordered a plant that the online site said came in a 21cm planting pot. Perfect size for a ceramic pot I had waiting.

The plant Oxy-Plants sent was in a 17cm planting pot. Unacceptable service.

Poor service after being sold a very ill plant.

I purchased two bird of paradise plants for my anniversary along with two plant pots. The delivery of the plants were just as described and I was happy with the service I received. Unfortunately one of the plants developed brown spots and the leaves were starting to curl. No matter what I did to try to improve the plant it was becoming increasingly unwell. due to the sentimental gift that it was, I decided to take to a plant expert for a remedy as to how to treat the plant. They have told me that there is a pathogen infection and the plant could contaminate others who come into contact with it. I contacted Marika, who asked for my pictures and order number, once this was given, the answer came back really quickly stating that there were sorry, but as they only have a return policy for 14 days , there is nothing they can do. I emailed again expressing my disappointment and asking for this to be escalated as there was no way I would have know that the plant was this ill within the 14 day period. She then sent me a copy of the terms and conditions and she was unable to help me. Without Escalation.
Poor Service, the price of the plant is not going to affect my bank balance, however, this was sold to me with this condition as I have been told that I could not have done anything any different to stop this from happening. No accountability! This review has went from Hero to Zero as there is no customer service of any note.

1/5 plants immediately died

Bought 5 star jasmine plants from here to create a hedge in my garden. When the plants arrived a lot of leaves were red (a sign of stress) and once planted in the same flower bed, one of the five immediately died.

1st time customer - would highly recommend

I was a little hesitant about ordering 'plant life' online. Previously I've always wanted to inspect up close before selecting! Did the usual search and feedback reviews on t'internet... And chose Oxy Plants.

Purchase process was slick. Comms Re delivery accurate. Price was great. Item description accurate. 10/10 on all fronts.

2 x devils ivy plants arrived on time as planned. Well packaged. And I have to say very healthy looking specimens!! Roots look healthy too and they've clearly been well looked after.

Newletter articles and how to look after the plants articles really informative. I really like some of their quirky comms. 😊

I'd highly recommend this crowd to family and friends alike. Give em a try!

PS. I've just read the reviews on here and can't believe they are from the same company. Sounds to me like they've maybe turned a corner and started listening? Keep up the good work.

I bought 5 plants and one went yellowish in just a few days. I asked for a replacement and they requested photos for proof. I provided the photos and they replied with an instruction to take care of it. Of course the plant died after a week. Don't buy here.

misled and no response for refund

I placed my order for Baby Bio Houseplant Bug Killer 1L via their website. From the product name, images, and ingredients shown on the page, it was clear to me that this was the product I needed. Based on that information, I placed the order and paid the full amount accordingly. Unfortunately, when I received the product on 6 April, I found that you had sent me a different item — Baby Bio Houseplant Bug Killer ULTRA 1L. I immediately emailed your team to report the mistake and requested a replacement with the correct item. On 7 April, I received your response stating that Baby Bio Houseplant Bug Killer 1L and Baby Bio Houseplant Bug Killer ULTRA 1L are the same product in different packaging. However, this is incorrect. The two products have different ingredients and different effects, which I can confirm from personal experience after using them. Furthermore, I have contacted the manufacturer, SBM Life Science Ltd, who confirmed that these are two distinct products.
I feel misled by the name, image, and description presented on your website, which resulted in my purchasing a product that does not meet my needs. I sent email to ask for refund, BUT no response..

Unhealthy plants

Bought a Kentia palm from oxy-plants at £24.99 Was quite happy when it arrived, one stem was dead but others looked ok, if a bit lacking in amount. Within 4 weeks stems had turned yellow and leaves shrivelled. Messaged and they did get back to me, advising Kentia’s like humidity. I advised was kept in a small shower room with humidity generally at 50%. Then no reply.

Bought a replacement at b&q for £32. For £7 the difference in height and health is remarkable. Wish I’d read the reviews here first and gone to b&q.

I was torn between 2 or 3 stars but had…

I was torn between 2 or 3 stars but had to be two when I thought back to the hassle I had. Ordered £120 worth of plants. Waited an age on them. When I contacted customer service I was told there had been a greenhouse failure and they weren't good enough to send out (either this is a regular excuse they pass out or their greenhouse needs looking at because I've read in another review the customer was told the same as I was) I asked again a few days later and told them to just refund me because I still had no plants and was £120 lighter. I got a response, which ignored my request for a refund and told the plants were due in momentarily....to anyone of good English that would mean due in that day ..nope. Few days pass again and again I chased them up. Was told this time that they were due in the following day and I would get priority delivery. Comes to a Saturday morning and I get a message from yodel telling me they were out for delivery (11am) it was 9pm Saturday night they eventually rocked up! My plants had been bashed about in their van since early morning and you could tell! The box was battered, burst and sagging like the tower of Pisa. I was a bit perplexed as to why I only had one box aswell because these were massive plants I ordered....they'd crammed all 3 into one box, with nothing but a bit sellotape to protect them! The yucca was uprooted....snapped! The parlour palm had more dead shoots than live and it was just a heaped mess. I took photos and contacted them again. Now here's the bit everyone needs to know before purchasing....their terms and conditions clearly state that to get a refund you will have to send the plants back, suitably packaged (shame they can't do that when sending them out!) but it also states that if they are not in resaleable condition then you won't be given a refund. I refused to post them back with those very terms because I'd have zero recourse of getting my money back. The photos were evidence enough of how NOT to send out live plants. There was a lot of arguing to and fro but consumer law is perfect for this. The goods were not only damaged beyond saving on arrival but not as described and not fit for purpose. I told them I only wanted refunded for the yucca as it was so badly damaged, I didn't ask for a full refund, yet they still wanted to argue. Fraid not love, I didn't come down in the last shower and they picked the wrong fight. I got my refund but it was a terrible experience from point of sale until resolution. They got 2 stars because I eventually got some money back, otherwise it would be zero. The whole thing could have been avoided if they only package their plants with some common sense and care. Sending them out the way they did was like sending them off to the gallows!!! Nothing but sheer incompetence. I'll pay extra in future from a seller that treats plants the way they should be treated...live!

Dreadful business to deal with

Dreadful business to deal with - send out plants in poor health in beat up crammed boxes that are unfit to return product in then state and refuse to waver that they need aforementioned dying plants sending back for a refund which costs you around 15-20 pounds to buy appropriate size box to return to them. Terrible levels of service / understanding or responsibility for their side in creating an awful and regrettable purchase. They now will not reply to any mails and never pick up the phone. Worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with online. Do not buy from them use a company like Patch who have an everything nailed on from service / packaging to product.

Will not be back - terrible customer service

Placed an order for a pot and paid for delivery, but it arrived all broken in pieces despite having an abundance of bubble wrap, with the box barely sealed.

Sent an email to the customer service team who advised that a replacement will be sent out as soon as possible. I had to follow up 3 days later after hearing nothing for them to just drop a email with a tracking number. The item only arrived almost a whole week later with economy shipping - will not be back, customer service seems to be the bare minimums.

Positive experience.

I read the reviews but I was getting a pot and small fern so took the plunge. I bought a large pot with small fern, and recieved a call making sure this was correct. That's a star right there for pro-action. The plant and pot arrived intact and are exactly as I expected. So 5 stars from me.

Plant small and in poor condition.

Bought a white bird of paradise plant from them at a very good price, unfortunately after it arrived poorly packaged and under the size advertised I see why. Half the soil was thrown out inside the cardboard box and the cellophane wrapping was very poor.

It has since started to wilt and die within a few days, showing signs of black marks on the plant. I went to look for a customer service number and found this page. Wish I had saw here before ordering. I won't bother contacting them as the hassle others have experienced doesn't seem worth the effort.

Stick to a known alternative retailer with better reviews instead. Lesson learned.

Dishonest people

This business is dishonest. I bought a mid size plant and sent a much smaller version that worth 60% less. Despite all evidence, the customer service insisted it was the correct but just smaller from their supplier. Have to waste a lot of time email back and forth, still asking for a refund. I wouldn't come back and advice people don't make any order from them to save your hard earned money and precious time.

As an advice, if you want your business run long, please do your business honestly. Otherwise you would never been able to build your loyal customer base.

I'm currently in talks with Oxy…

I'm currently in talks with Oxy customer service as my plants were sent when it was too cold. They're all really struggling from the shock and even as an experienced plant carer. I'm struggling to help them.

The monstera has black spotted leaves and it's new growth was black and all had to be cut off. I fear it's a fungus and I'll not be able to save it. The fern is also struggling to bounce back as is my prayer plant. They also brought gnats in.

I've reached out to customer service with photos. It's worth mentioning I reached out after checking trustpilot and asked them to delay my order so this wouldn't happen. Alas, it has.

I cannot afford to lose £60 to dead plants in this economy so, I hope they rectify this issue and I'll be able to change my review.
Only giving the extra star at Marika on customer service was helpful to begin with...

Hopefully, I won't have to take it up with PayPal and their customer service come up with a solution 🤞🏼

*Update: customer services won't help as I was a day over their refund policy (it seems they don't give refunds anyway) after I'd asked them NOT to send the parcel so this wouldn't happen. They held it for a few days and sent it during the freezing weather instead and now wash their hands of it. I am requesting my refund via PayPal.

Do not make payments to these companies on your card as unfortunately, they just can't be trusted.

I've never had an issue with Patch plants! Slightly more expensive but the quality is unmatched.

Rotten customer service

Rotten customer service. Sent a small plant when I wanted a large one and the back and forth with emails was exhausting and they could have just sent out something with impact.
They clearly have no interest in keeping genuine customers happy.
I will never use them again for house plants.
Avoid this company guys!

Bought a large areca palm and some smaller plants. The plants were packaged poorly, and the areca palm had fungal spots and deteriorated quickly after arrival. A replacement was sent, but it died quickly. Possibly problems at the nursery, and with plants getting cold during delivery?

Mixed feelings

I ordered a plant pot from them a few months ago, decent price, nice pot, pretty quick delivery - all good.

I recently ordered another pot but unfortunately this one arrived damaged. I put this down to a careless delivery driver - it happens. When I contacted Oxy plants they replied very quickly and arranged a swift replacement - again, all good.

The thing I wasn't impressed with, was the plant that I purchased with the same order. It wasn't in great condition - the few leaves left on it were pretty much dead (it's supposed to be a leafy cactus with many leaves branching off). The main body of the cactus is still alive but looks slightly damaged, like bits have been pulled off. It was on offer but still I expected better for the price - I wouldn't have purchased one off the shelf like this. Hoping it comes to life.
