Thank you - lost property

I would like to say a huge thank you to TfL and the staff involved in finding my backpack.
I accidentally left it on the Hammersmith & City line and completed the online lost property form. Within just a couple of hours, I received a phone call from a lovely member of staff to let me know that my backpack had been found and was safely with them.
I was incredibly relieved, as it contained my EpiPens and heart medication. The efficiency and professionalism shown throughout the process were outstanding.

Thank you so much to everyone involved for your help and excellent service. It was greatly appreciated.

Unauorised Money withdrawn

I promptly paid the ULEZ charge after using my car on April 1, 2026. After selling my vehicle and notifying TFL, I was taken aback to discover a £25 deduction from my bank statement without any prior notice. This appears to be an unauthorized withdrawal of my funds.

This situation constitutes a breach of trust, and I consider it fraudulent to take someone's money without notification. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have encountered a similar issue, and this company has consistently refused to refund my money.

Pathetic government service ever in the UK.
Thye dont give clear instructions on their website on ULEZ and LEZs , if you pay them mistakenly, they arent refunding for one day. Only UK government service that is reluctant to refund their customers for the overpayment of unused service.
Their customer service officers are the worst people!
Shame on you TfL!!!!

Get told that tapping my card will save on my journey but am shocked to see the price I was charged from paddington to Burnham one way on Elizabeth line.
I'm travelling with two kids and not even a seat on the journey.
Can't keep up with these prices as a regular traveller due to care responsibilities.
Will take alternative ways of travelling as and when I can.

I am extremely disappointed with the…

I am extremely disappointed with the way my Private Hire Driver Licence application has been handled by TfL.

I submitted my application in April 2025 and have now been waiting 15 months for a decision. I successfully completed all required assessments in January 2026 and have complied with every request made throughout the process. Despite this, my application remains “in progress” with no clear explanation, no meaningful updates, and no indication of when a decision will be made.

Whenever I contact TfL, I receive generic responses referring to processing times, operational capacity, and ongoing checks, but nobody is able to explain the specific reason for the delay in my case or provide any realistic timeframe.

The impact of this delay has been significant. I have been unable to work in the profession I have trained and qualified for, causing financial hardship and unnecessary stress. As a single father supporting a young child, the lack of transparency and accountability has been particularly difficult.

I understand that licensing checks are important, but waiting 15 months without a clear explanation or decision is unacceptable. Applicants deserve better communication, greater transparency, and fairer processing times.

I hope that whatever those responsible for this process earn while performing their jobs so poorly, they never have to experience the financial hardship, stress, and medical costs that delays like this can cause to ordinary people who are simply trying to earn a living and support their families.

I hope TfL takes steps to improve its licensing service and addresses the backlog affecting applicants who are simply trying to earn a living and support their families.

As a wheelchair user and novice underground traveler, l was extremely grateful to the lovely young lady, Shireen (hope l spelled it right) who went well over the her usual duties to the public on the 9th June. She clocked off her shift and actually got on the tube with me and my friend and took us to the station we needed she was a star! Thank you Shireen. X

Wonderful bus 404 drivers

I wrote a review on bus 404, last year on Trustpilot but I don’t think the bus drivers were told of my review
I was told bus 404 was not under TFL and was given an email address to write , which I did, only to receive a reply saying 404 bus was not under them
I then went to South Croydon bus garage and was given a contact to write to, which I did
The reply came back, wrong department

Today, I am hoping that this message will reach drivers of bus 404

As to date, the friendly drivers of bus 404, still wave to me, when they were driving passed me, an old pensioner of 70 plus , walking her dog

They bothered to take time to wave to an elderly

Just want them to know they always made me happy with their greetings and it’s a wonderful start to my day , even on my bad days

I appreciated their waves very very much

Thank you

Lifesavers

Left my backpack with laptop on tube. Station staff at temple and Tower Hill could not have been more helpful or quick to respond and I was reunited with my bag in less than half an hour. I am beyond grateful for their help.

Ridiculous

I was charged £20.80 after entering a station and then exiting the same station because I had gone into the wrong one by mistake. While I appreciate that the charge was eventually refunded, the refund process itself was unnecessarily inconvenient.

I was informed that I had to use my Oyster/contactless card at a TfL station by a specific deadline in order to collect the refund. If I failed to do so within that timeframe, the refund would not be applied. This raises an obvious question: why impose such a restrictive process for returning money that should never have been charged in the first place?

The system appears designed around administrative convenience rather than customer experience. Many people have busy lives and may not be able to travel through a station within an arbitrary collection window. A refund should simply be returned automatically to the payment method used, without requiring additional action from the customer.

TfL should review this policy and implement a more straightforward and customer-friendly refund process.

Overcharged

Absolutely astonished

I recently took a journey across London which due to unforeseen events took longer on the return, for some reason TFL have overcharged both myself and my sister (same journey but each a different amount)

I tried to contact them to resolve this as it is clear from my account that they have charged me twice for the return, rather than investigating and cancelling the duplicate fee they keep referring to the delay repay and telling me to contact the train operator (I crossed London, there were 2 mainline and the Underground) - they are the operator as it has failed in zone 1, they also issue the Oyster card

The delay is a separate issue and not the reason for contacting them, I am highly unimpressed as I am out of pocket due to their error and getting nowhere with them

No alternative but to escalate the matter

TfL student photocard

My experience with the TfL student photocard process was extremely negative. Before I finally figured out how the system works, I spent hours searching online because there is no clear, accessible guide that explains what you actually need to do after receiving your student photocard. Nothing is highlighted properly, and nothing is explained in a straightforward way.

When I contacted customer service, the representative didn’t just fail to give me a simple explanation, he actually offended me. Instead of guiding me through the steps, he asked me if there was “someone close to me who could break this down” for me. That is insulting. It’s unacceptable for a customer service agent to speak to anyone like that. All he could do was repeat the same phrase, word for word, three times, even after I clearly said from the beginning that I didn’t understand what I was supposed to do.
The phrase was: "you need to buy a weekly, monthly or yearly travel pass and link it to your student photocard. If you top up the card you will not receive the discount." Imagine if I just landed in London and I'm not familiar with travel pass or any other TFL cards.
For clarity: once you receive your student photocard, you must go into your online account, choose a travel pass, select your zones, complete the purchase, and then go to any station to load it onto the card (the credit becomes available about 30 minutes after purchase). None of this is obvious, and none of it is explained properly by TfL. If you top up your card as any other TFL card, the discount is not applied.

In my opinion, If TfL sells a student photocard, then any credit (top up) should automatically apply the discount. Students shouldn’t have to dig through 52 pages of terms or deal with rude staff who can’t explain their own system.

TfL needs to fix both the system and the way their representatives speak to people.

£160 fine for being blocked by reckless drivers on a box junction for 10 SECONDS..."if you pay within 14 days it's only £80"....utter filth.........if you're so vigilant with your CCTV, you should notice when drivers have to react to the behaviour of others....TfL doesn't take context into account...thieving scum, from top to bottom.
