Very poor employees performance
Very poor employees performance. They have very limited knowledge, constantly sending wrong directions, provide with wrong information. Tube stations and trains are very durty. And the costs are extremely high. What for???
Horrid
Genuine shambles what a joke the strikes are the most priviledged greedy action organised in history and impact so much more than your staff being a little bit tired. Strikes reorganised and organised on different dates as if that doesn’t impact the entire city it’s genuinely embarrassing not to mention the quality is absolute garbage dirty disgusting seats might aswell take the sewers to central at this point.

Yet another miserable journey on the filthy trains on the Northern line. Disgraceful.
TfL: World-Class at Taking Your Money, Absolutely Useless at Running Trains
TfL is probably the only organisation on earth where the systems designed to take your money work with military precision, but the actual transport service runs like a complete circus.
When it comes to ticket barriers, payment tracking, fines, cameras, and making sure you never miss a single payment — suddenly they hire the smartest software engineers on the planet. Everything works flawlessly when it’s about draining money from passengers.
But when it comes to maintenance, signalling, delays, cancelled trains, broken lines, overcrowding, and commuters wasting hundreds of hours of their lives every year — apparently absolute incompetence is acceptable.
Every single week it’s the same disaster:
“Minor delays.”
“Severe delays.”
“Signal failure.”
“Service suspended.”
Excuse after excuse after excuse.
People are late for work, miss appointments, lose money, deal with stress, headaches and exhaustion, while TfL keeps acting like this level of failure is normal. Nobody takes accountability, nobody seems to care, and yet ticket prices somehow keep going up every year for a service that gets worse and worse.
At this point TfL doesn’t feel like a transport network anymore — it feels like a highly advanced money collection system that occasionally happens to run trains.
Constantly charge wrong amounts
Constantly charge wrong amounts on the Tube. Both times in 2 months the correct amount for a short trip originally shows on the account and then 3 days later they take way more. Fix your system it’s not hard.
Regulating Buses
The practice of 'regulating the flow of buses' should not impact service users. The "we apologise for any inconvenience" is a token statement. In some cases the same journey is stopped three times for upto 3 minutes each time! That does impact on the passengers who have planned their journey with sufficient time to get to their destination.
TFL is a horrible organisation
Horrible organisation. I had misplaced my PCN letter so instead of ignoring it I reached out to Southwark as the fine had occurred in Camberwell. They told me there was no PCN with my reg and that I should contact Lambeth instead. Lambeth said they too had no PCN with my reg, at that point I assumed maybe the PCN was sent in error. 2 months later I receive a letter from TFL that the fine had now gone up to £240. I explained to them that I didn't think to contact TFL I just went straight to the local authority and that I could forward them the emails from Southwark and Lambeth to prove that I did try to make a payment and didn't just leave it but the lady I spoke to didn't care AT ALL. I asked if I could set up a payment plan because I just couldn't afford £240 in one go and she told me they don't do payment plans an that I should go to citizens advice who could help me manage my money...... I have no problem managing my money but £240 in one go is a lot especially when I tried to sort it in the beginning when it would have been £80. Horrible service and no care what so ever. This is how they put people in debt, not even allowing someone to set up a payment plan. I see why so many people dislike them.
Was trying my card at Walthamstow…
Was trying my card at Walthamstow Central station this morning. My card would not work, I use this station everyday. I called the staff member to ask her to let me through, however she kept arguing with me as to why she can’t. She just told me to go on the website! This is most unhelpful and uncaring when I’m rushing to work. So I asked to speak to the manager she said no so I asked to speak someone above her she still refused! So at this point I was going to be late for work! I tried my card a last time it worked. But no thanks to her complete disregard or concern. She was so unhelpful and completely useless. Really awful experience. I will be making a full official complaint.

The unhelpful 'customer' line
"If you need to speak with an advisor, call this number" 0343 222 1234. I wanted to understand and plan a complex day of travelling and get the right travel card. I do not live in London, so I called the number. All automated, cannot speak to anyone. Main website no help either, and gauging which TC to get to avoid fare penalties is painful. For what TFL charges, a human customer service isn't too much to ask. You simply don't care.

Customer Service is a Total Joke
Although I use TFL quite a lot recently I have had reason to contact Customer services. The amount of time it took to receive a reply from them is abysmal. In fact all they seem to do is send your complaint to the Operator concerned. By the time that operator reads your complaint far too much time has elapsed and any CCTV would have been overwritten. Recently I witnessed an elderly lady being shouted at on the bus by the driver, I intervened and asked him to show some respect at which point he started on me. The lady was quite upset. Also the drivers in the area where I live can often be seen refusing wheelchair passengers because of pushchairs being in the wheelchair area. Both these occasions I reported to only get the standard 'BS' from customer service and it was very apparent that they really could not care a less. I have also asked TFL to explain why drivers from certain communities often allow people from the very same communities to simply board without using either a Credit Card or Oyster card ! Only last week my friend and I witnessed 7 people board without any payment but we didn't complain because there is no point as TFL have shown on numerous occasions that they really don't care. It really has become an appalling service which unfortunately visitors to our Capital will witness... and remember.
A realistic review
Compared to so many other public transport run bodies, TfL has come so far and does extremely will under the circumstances. The 1 star reviews here reflect a poor understanding of a very complex network and are largely one-off examples, forgetting that TfL move over 4million people every day.
Dreadful customer service from 'James'…
Dreadful customer service from 'James' when attempting to close down an old Oyster card and get a refund on remaining credit. He was hidebound and inflexible, insisting on a top-up payment before a refund could be made because 'that's how the system works'. Even hung up on the call when he couldn't get his own way in the face of reasonable refusal to pay for a refund. Do not use Oyster. The system seems to be designed to grab extra funds with no recourse to get them back. Utterly let down and infuriated by having to deal with these clowns.
Absolutely useless
What a useless vessel these are, just trying to get a receipt for the congestion charge is like pulling teeth. Happy to take money but customer service is non existent.

£21 for congestion charge for such a poor service - such a shame.
Auto pay doesn't work
Online payment is down all the time and all they are waiting to give you a PCN
I wonder why people do not go for a legal battle
Transport for London are thieving
Transport for London are thieving, conning and heartless. They make up fines just to make money out of us, life is tough enough without this. They should be utterly ashamed of themselves.
Stunning customer service
As a result of an earlier signal failure in Finchley Road, there were no services in either direction on the northern Line in the afternoon. When some friends and I arrived at Woodside Station and learnt of the lack of services, we each were supported by a station person who spent time with each of us working out an alternative way of travel. He was really kind, helpful and considerate, many thanks! As a result we each got to our destination successfully. Huge shout out to him and many thanks!
