Cancelled shipment and unwilling to refund deposit

I cannot recommend PACA to anyone.

We've had transport booked well in advance and on the day of the move, PACA cancelled the transport leaving us completely stranded with no alternative.

Now two weeks after, we are being refused the refund of the deposit and get no response.

Do not work with PACA!

If you love a stressful and tiring life, PACA Moving is your best choice.

I will start with the PROs:
-The truck arrived destination on the day they promised.

If you are ready, I start with CONs:
-They did not obey the payment plan in the contract. They asked for whole payment before move is complete and said truck will not go to target destination if payment is not done.
-They did neither have any professional but also equipped carrying workers. By equipment, I do not even say trolleys or boxes. They have even asked us for duck tapes. And if we did not luckily pack everything already in boxes, they would not do anything.
-They did not do any protection for the households, just stuffed them in the truck even without any stabilizing belts. And of course some household were damaged.
-As I said the truck came to the target location on promised day only 1,5 hours late. But the problem, truck came alone with no carriers, just the driver. Suddenly all responding emails and phone number became silent. No one answered my calls. The guy who only responded per text, asked for extra money for the carrying of household and also accused me of lying about the floor of the apartment, which I already sent them even number of steps, photos of the stairs and location of the apartment.
-Even we have warned them that the household is just thrown inside the truck and will be damaged. We asked for a photo of the status of truck but they responded only: "Do not worry, we are professionals and they will be carried in a protected and safe way". As expected, we had a lot of scratches on dish washer, broken parts on wardrobe rails.
-At the end, after waiting a respond from PACA moving about the carriers for 2 hours. I had to carry the household with the driver, with some extra payment to him. I can not even complain about the driver because he was not PACA employee, only was hired to drive the truck from Paris to Vienna. Only thing that was told him was: "Just drive the truck to this location. And do not ask anything else."

You may ask "Why did you choose this company?" Believe me it was not because they were cheapest. They were not even. They were so interested, responsive and even asking for our preferences and changing some parts of contract, but only until the payment. PACA Moving resemble a brand new sports car until the payment and after payment the engine breaks down and you have to push the car until the finish line.

SUMMARY
Finally as expected they did not responded us regarding our compensation request and we will go on court. If you still say, these stuff can happen and I like to be in court with my moving company, go on, choose PACA Moving (aka EURO MOVE).

Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs.

I cannot recommend this moving company under any circumstances. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Here is a summary of the appalling service I received:

Gross Mismanagement: The company, managed by Xavier, significantly underestimated the volume of my belongings (25 m³ quoted vs. 40 m³ actual). As a result, they didn’t bring a large enough truck and caused unnecessary delays.

Unprofessional Packing: Despite paying for a full packing service, the company hired untrained individuals found online, rather than their own staff, to pack my belongings. They didn’t provide adequate packing materials, forcing my family to supply over half the boxes, tape, and bubble wrap at our expense. We paid for complete packing services but spent a whole 2 days helping the men pack as they were unprepared.

Lack of Communication and Rudeness: Xavier was consistently rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. He ignored messages for days, provided no updates or GPS tracking as promised in the contract, and never apologized for delays. When I asked a french friend to mediate on my behalf, he shouted at her to go f** herself. This is completely unacceptable behavior for any professional service.

Unacceptable Delays: Our contract guaranteed delivery by a specific date, but my belongings arrived 10 days late. This caused significant additional expenses, including hotel stays, emergency purchases, and childcare challenges.

Extortion: Upon delivery, Xavier demanded an additional €1,500 for the extra volume, refusing to unload my belongings until the payment was made. We were left with no choice but to pay under duress, as he essentially held our belongings hostage.

Failure to Deliver Promised Services: Even after paying for a full-service move, the movers did not reassemble our furniture as outlined in the contract. My family had to do everything ourselves, adding even more stress to an already terrible experience.

This company’s lack of professionalism, gross dishonesty, and complete disregard for their contractual obligations have caused my family immense stress and financial loss. Xavier’s rude and aggressive behavior made an already awful situation even worse.

Do not use PACA Moving, also known as Euro Move.
