Licensing prices have gone thru the roof for a product that really does not match value for the price we're paying. Even after a generous discount, we're 200% up on license cost.

PRTG is pretty good as it goes and gives little issues, and I'd give it 5 stars if it were not for; Its windows based, and its ridiculously expensive. You get 100 sensors free, but if you want 101 or 120 its £1000+ which makes no sense at all.

This is a very productive tool, especially and mostly for ISPs or those who are the administrator of the Network who can monitor the network without any bother and give us the capability to generate the report as well,
all the best team

Great visibility into your network. Cannot work without it. A total necessity if you have critical servers and services that need to stay up

This looked like a very promising tool. It was very easy to deploy, alerting via PowerShell scripting to our CLI ticket tool was going to be easy and node grouping with individual credentials for each group would have made our lives easy. However upon adding our first node it was discovered not only does each node need an SNMP Trap Receiver Sensor (which takes a license) but it doesn't even support SNMPv3 traps. The cost of the license was manageable but the encrypted communication of all traffic, including management has been not only a corporate requirement but has been in NIST (and thus GxP) for many years.
It's simple and faster to setup and maintain the tool and it's highly customizable according to the requirements.

Absolutely no one works for PRTG... Been a customer for 3 years and you will pay a lot of money for absolutely ZERO support EVER. Even after paying a renewal fee for "maintenance" I cannot update or get any response from them. Save yourself and your company any money and do not purchase this product. Again, there is ZERO support and no one will ever answer your email

A very useful tool for monitoring devices within or when located out of the network. Recommendation: please invent some features that will be active stresser-based.

Best monitor tool!!! I had Nagios before but it was really dificult to create custume sensors, it was a headache. With PRTG is very easy and all configurations is made in the GUI interface, very happy.

I use both flavours. The 100 sensor "free"-Version to monitor various home office devices (Switch, WLAN, Wallbox, Energy, Temperature, my public webserver and Mailserver etc)
We also use a paid version to monitor our company network and services.
Very easy to install, configure and can be Extended with scripts. If you look for a windows tool, then you should play with PRTG.
It's a service monitoring and performance measuresment tool. It is not as powerful like grafana with "numbers" or splunk with log messages. It's not a SIEM but if you know that, you will have source success. More like Nagios, Incinga, Whatsup etc but on Windows.

This is the best monitoring tool I have tested so far, easy to install, setup and configure. We will start implementing it on all of our platforms.

Good for bandwidth monitoring, But not good for detail analysis, No built-in analysis. SNMP support is not good.
