I applied for what appeared to be a job or contractor opportunity advertised through Indeed. After speaking with the company, I learned that the opportunity involved purchasing a course for around $3,500, followed by ongoing monthly platform fees.
In my view, this should have been made much clearer upfront in the job listing. I did not proceed, so I cannot comment on the course or platform itself. My concern is simply that jobseekers may apply expecting an employment or contractor opportunity, when there appear to be significant upfront costs involved.
I’m sharing this so others can ask clear questions before committing time or money.
