If I could give these criminals a 0 star review I would. When I signed on with them, I asked if I could keep my AMEX and work on paying it down on my own with the savings I thought I’d be getting by having them negotiating my other accounts. They said it was an all or nothing deal. I said ok fine, and signed on. They told me to stop paying all my accounts and pay them direct. After 3 months my credit had gone from 710 to just around 480 and there was no movement on my account. I had made several concerned calls and each time I was told “your account is in the early stages and this is fine”. Well after six months I was greeted by the county sheriff’s deputy with a summons from a law firm hired by AMEX. Now I’m being sued! I immediately called Palisade Legal group. They told me to email a copy of the summons and they would handle it. Well, having lost faith and only having 14 days to answer it, I call them back to see what’s going on. They told me they had reached out to the law firm but they don’t actually have lawyers and that they can’t help me. NICE! The representative even commented that the name of the company is a little misleading…. So I ask them what the status is on all my other accounts. They said they were waiting for AMEX (my largest account) to settle before dealing with the others. So they let the other 4 sit neglected for 6 MONTHS!!! And got me sued. Well, I called the law firm that had sent me the summons and asked what they and Palisade Legal were negotiating and they had told me that nobody had called on my behalf. So not only did Palisade Legal do nothing and I mean NOTHING but take money, destroy my credit and get me sued, they lied to me about dealing with the lawsuit too. I called AMEX after I had a judgment filed against me in court for the total of my account plus legal fees and asked them if anyone had contacted them about negotiating a lower payment. And I wasn’t at all surprised to hear that I was the first contact on my behalf since my account went delinquent. So they lied to me about everything. They did nothing at all. NOTHING. For six months they took money, and in three occasions told me their negotiators are working my case…. Do NOT DEAL WITH THEM.

Why is American Express taking me to court? You're supposed to be paying them

If you want to consolidate and get financial help go through a real financial counseling program. One that makes payments to your debts on a regular basis. This company collects your money and never contacts your debt companies until you have enough money banked to pay off the lowest debts first. Then make a settlement. Which makes it look like you are ignoring the people you owe. Once they got to my final debt they want me to alloy for a loan, probably with an outrageous interest rate.

Charge unfairly

Well it started out very slow and I was getting concerned about the time it was taking and it seemed nothing was happening, but things started getting worked out accounts were being settled and paid off. I'm very please with your company and the work they have done on my behalf. Than you so much.

They took care of my creditors for me made it look easy so I can get my credit back in order I am truly grateful for them

This experience has been humiliating, to say the least. When you think a company can help with your financial woes and the companies they claimed to have contacted start garnishing your wages and summoning you to court, it seems pretty horrible. Yeah, they have helped close a few accounts, but they keep telling me "they will say anything to get you to pay them." Well, they took money directly from my pay check, so clearly, Palisade is in the wrong. Thanks for ruining my life and not helping it.

Well is nice to have someone who can help you with your finances

I originally had 8 cards in debt and before they could settle one debt I settled 4 of those same cards. They refuse to lower my monthly payments because they have up to 3 years to clear my debt and to be honest feels like a scam. In a nutshell 8 cards monthly payments $334 for 3 years. 4 cards monthly payments $334 for 3 years. Make it make sense!!!!!!

Great and positive experience

I get emails saying I need to sign papers I already signed and the new papers have the wrong information on them. When I call I get told the first papers were correct. Someone will call me back. I never hear back from anyone.

Your representatives are extremely polite, patient and knowledgeable.

Was a very easy process to go thru in getting my debts took care of, I would recommend it to anyone
