I instructed PALS to deal with a residency application. Firstly they forgot to send a document to the Extranjeria. Then, when the Extranjeria asked for the document, they failed to send it again. They attempted to appeal but missed the deadline. They then submitted a second application but made a mess of that one and it was also refused. Throughout, they misled me about why my applications had been delayed and refused. I then went to another firm and then made a complaint to PALS but they just ignored it. I reported my complaint to the Ayuntamiento but they ignored them too.
In my opinion, they just exploit naive ex-pats 'recommended' to them by greedy estate agents.
Tanya was absolutely superb from start to finish in support of selling our apartment in Spain. We met with her soon after meeting with the estate agents and she was first class in walking us through the entire process and expectations. She kept us completely informed of the sale progress, information we needed to provide in support of the sale and we could not thank her enough for the professional and efficient manner that she handled the entire transaction. She is a credit to PALS and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to purchase or sell a property in or around the Mazarron region
Excellent service at a reasonable price, all utilities transferred, couldn’t do anough to help.
A Warning About PALS Solicitors – Negligent and Unprofessional
I feel obligated to share my experience with PALS Solicitors so that others can avoid the nightmare I’ve been through. I am a 75-year-old pensioner who sold my house in Spain for €92,500 in April 2024. After deducting €13,500 in fees, taxes, and solicitor charges, PALS informed me that my email had been hacked and someone had sent fake instructions to transfer the funds to the wrong bank account (Openbank) instead of my Caixa account.
Shockingly, PALS never called or verified the change with me before transferring the money. To make things worse, they even put the wrong reference name, “Alan Parkles,” instead of my actual name, “Alan Parkes.”
Since then, I have been waiting for a refund through their insurance claim. It’s been 11 months of vague responses, delays, and complete avoidance of my questions. Every time I ask for proof of the claim, such as transaction details or updates, they refuse to send anything. Instead, they insist I travel to Spain to see the documents—despite knowing I am in poor health and living in the UK.
This level of negligence and lack of basic communication is unacceptable for a professional legal firm. They are fully aware that I sold my house because I desperately needed the money, yet they have shown no urgency or empathy throughout this ordeal.
I have tried contacting the police, lawyers, and even their management, but nothing has been resolved. PALS has ignored my calls, avoided accountability, and caused untold stress to someone in a vulnerable situation.
If you are considering using PALS Solicitors, I strongly advise you to think twice. This company’s lack of professionalism and transparency has caused me severe financial and emotional hardship. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what I have endured.
Let this be a warning to others: choose your solicitors carefully. Companies like PALS need to be held accountable for their actions, and I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.
Tanya could not have been more helpful and kept us informed throughout the whole process. Highly recommend PALS.
Although PALS handled the purchase and sale procedures of our home well, we've had varying experiences in between, in particular because responses came often in quite slow, if at all. An exception during the liquidation of the sale was Sandra, who turned out to be very helpful and responsive.
We used Pals recently for the purchase of an apartment nearby Mazarron and found the service to be perfect from beginning to end. Hana kept us informed all the way and made the whole process speedy and easy. Great company and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
We have dealt with PALS for the past 7 years. Their service has always been first class. All bills and taxes have been paid via them and we have never once had any problems. If we had any queries or questions they have always been answered promptly and efficiently. We have bought and recently sold our villa using PALS.
Everything went smoothly and without any issues.
Hayley and Tanya were very professional and I don’t know what we would have done without their expertise and knowledge. We would highly recommend PALS to anyone who needs legal advice or if they are buying or selling property It has been a pleasure working with such kind and caring staff.
Once again thank you Hayley and Tanya for all of your support over the past 7 years.

So fellow people need to be aware of PALS solicitors (Professional & Legal Solutions S.L.) in Puerto de MAZARRON. Because...... after becoming clients of theirs since 2012 and paying them many thousands of euros in fees it seems that they think as lawyers they are above Spanish Law. I say this as I went there to get them to stamp a complaints form (Hoja de Reclamaciones) which as they are a Spanish business they are legally obliged so I am told to accept. But they point blank refuse to do so. So calls Local Police who attended and one of their owners then stated to police that I am not a Client of theirs! Apparently the fact they did my non-residence taxes and took their fees a couple of weeks ago is not acceptable and valid proof it would seem? I even showed police an email from them dated 25th June 2020 proving I was a client, not good enough. So it seems that either the local police are unsure of well defined legal rights and practices or are in cahoots with them. I had tried to pursue a genuine grievance against them where one of the reasons was they billed me for doing my non-resident taxes (at my request and at a fixed price) but then took too much money from our account in fees. Tried getting it back etc but no joy. The other reason is that even though I am STILL a client of theirs they have acted against me which I am told is a Breach of their Code. It appears that they cannot act against me until after two years of not being a client. They get serious amounts of business from Condado de Alhama so my ask is that persons intending or currently using a solicitor consider if it goes pear shaped are your lawyers going to deny knowing you and complying with Spanish Law as you would assume rightfully they should know or are they above the law after they have fraudulently taken your money? Disgusting attitude and blatant lies from these alleged professionals. Even the normal staff inside the office have zero clue as they think it is acceptable and lawfully compliant to deny access to the complaints book just because the boss isn’t there. How inconvenient of me to turn up when he wasn’t there???? Again so I am told, the owner can be struck off of practising being a solicitor for acting against me, plus other documented issues I have experienced with them. So Consumer office it is then plus Spanish equivalent of Law Society. And to think that many thousands of British clients trust these people is very worrying indeed.
