I received the worst haircut of my life…

I received the worst haircut of my life from the owner, Phil - who I wouldn’t trust to cut a piece of paper in a straight line.
To start, he forgot to put my gown on and repeatedly snagged my knitted jumper with the comb as we discussed my cut. I waited, not wanting to tell him how to do his job. The other hairdresser had to step in and remind him - he seemed completely oblivious, and I do genuinely believe he was about to start without it.
I asked for my hair to be sprayed wet, as I have a bad neck and couldn’t use the sinks. In doing so, he clumsily soaked the back of my jumper, which ran down my back. He then used the hairdryer pointlessly; my hair was still very wet when I left. Walking home on a freezing January day in this state was unpleasant. A woman is supposed to leave feeling restored and glamorous. I didn’t.

While in the chair, I was positioned so far from the mirror that my long legs and heeled boots couldn’t even reach the foot bar. I wasn’t wearing my glasses, and my hair being “fluffed up” for the reveal meant that, in the moment, I couldn’t see any issues - nor was I really looking for any. One tends to offer a level of trust to someone who claims to be a professional, generally expecting they’d have more talent than a hungover chimpanzee.

Once home, I was horrified. One side of my hair brushed the top of my shoulder, while the other hung below my collarbone. The ends were hacked and uneven, with chunks missing and longer pieces sticking out.
I tried calling repeatedly from 1pm until closing at 5pm with no answer, despite the salon being completely empty when I was there.

This experience caused significant stress. And it was days before I could get it corrected elsewhere. I’m appalled by Phil’s work and shocked that his wife (and fellow owner) allows him anywhere near clients’ hair. I will never step foot in this establishment again and would warn others against doing so too.

False promises and appalling customer service

Customer service is completely non-existent, they repeatedly try to blame the customer for their failings, and the reward scheme ‘Pampers Club’ is not fit for purpose, they do not send out the physical vouchers and the online vouchers just don’t work.

The vouchers you earn don't work and…

The vouchers you earn don't work and are time sensitive.
I choose one of them. And claimed it at the till. With 20 mins to spend it. But the voucher it gave me was a completely different product. I went back into store in a rush to find another. Left my stuff at the til, and was hunted down and treated like a criminal. The product I needed wasn't in stock, nor what I wanted anyway. I spent the 20mins trying to explain what was wrong, calmly I might add, but getting lots of aggressive responses from 2 members of staff. (At Tesco)
Shouldn't be issuing the wrong vouchers. And shouldn't be such a short claim window.
