I was a serious potential candidate for an apartment in Groningen to take over from a friend. The existing tenant indicated/informed Pandomo to prioritize me as a suitable successor as I was also willing to takeover the existing furniture, which is convenient/efficient. After approaching the company, learnt that another candidate was already in process and hence the request would be considered if that candidate doesn’t proceed (which makes sense). However, us being constantly in touch to know the updates, it seems that the company still didn’t prioritize and communicated on our request promptly since it seems that someone else were considered only to find out that they did not go ahead. And until then it was too late as I managed to find other accommodation. Not sure what went wrong, but have a feeling that there was a gap in communication and managing priorities.

Poor professionalism

The staff at Pandomo were always reachable whenever I had questions or concerns. They were very helpful in advising me on the bargaining aspect and we managed to get a reasonable reduction in purchase price. They also assisted in arranging for the necessary paperwork required for the purchase and helped us finding a reliable solicitor to arrange the final settlement.

The visit was fine, but asking for a landlord statement at an early selection stage can put people in a compromise with their landlords. I did not get selected, and because I had to ask for said statement, I was forced to agree with my landlord to leave at the end of the month. Luckily, I found another place in the meantime, but the current housing market situation is usually not that forgiving.

I'm not saying you shouldn't ask for said statement, it makes sense to do so to make sure a tenant should be trusted, but I think asking for such delicate documents before selecting someone can put them in a delicate situation. For reference, my new apartment didn't ask me for it until I was selected under option for the place.

I hope you take into consideration this suggestion.

Spam spam spam. There is no easy Unsubscribe option, but instead they ask to send them an email. Who does that?

I sent a lot of applications, to most of them I did not get any feedback. I was looking specifically for a furnished place for up to 4 months, got invited for one viewing which turned out to be unfurnished and for 1 year. One property which I was interested in, was getting available on day X. I started asking about it before that, got contacted 2 weeks after day X, when I found another place.

I do not find a home using the platform and it takes a long time to answer.

We decided to go with Pandomo when searching for a place to buy. It was a great experience and went rather quickly. All of the agents and representatives were/are very friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. This is also a great agency for expats, as everyone is more than happy to work with you in English and help you deal with documents written in Dutch. Thanks!

Excellent service, personalised, very friendly. Remco got me my first home to rent in Groningen, and I am very pleased with their attention. I would definitely rent again with Pandomo, they are a great team. They fulfilled everything in the rental contract, I recommend them, 10/10 my experience. Today we had a house visit and were a few minutes late because of traffic. We couldn't call the real estate agent because there was no number in the offer. When we arrived, the real estate agent had already left without notifying us or the agency at all. Very disappointing. We had to leave two hours earlier from work just to go there.
