Marina Bay Sands Boutique

Wonderful first purchase with Olivar who took care of me well. I'm an experienced collector of multiple brands, and wanted something to mark my time in Singapore. I was actually on the way to Omega – going back to collect the 60th Anniversary Bond Seamaster I'd seen the day prior – when I happened to have a look in the store. I tried several luminor marina models, and was taken by the 44mm e-steel model with the grey gradient dial. I was offered a drink immediately, and had a couple of espressos and some of the best chocolate I've had in Asia (speaking as a European) whilst learning about the brand. Olivar went out of his way to include a second strap and help take care of the tax refund for me with being a visitor. I couldn't rate the customer experience more highly. Having visited Florence a couple of times, and now feeling somewhat nostalgic about Europe given my relocation to Asia, it was a great way to connect with the brand. I've worn it almost daily on the white rubber strap, and I'm very close to picking up the new, slimmer version (3325) in olive green.

Dealt with the `London Bond Street…

Dealt with the `London Bond Street Boutique.

Went out of their way to help, needed two spring bars for my 1661 Carbotech, received them in a super quick time, from the initial phone call couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

Frustrating experience

My brand new Panerai Luminor was faulty from day one, running late about 50 seconds p/day.
I was asked to return the piece for a full service (free of charge), and I assumed the issue would be resolved.

Nine months later, the same problem reappeared, only this time I was asked to pay a service fee of €580 — and was told this was being done as a “favour.”

You wouldn’t expect to be treated this way, after spending a small fortune on a brand new watch.
Abysmal customer service.

Poor quality strap and terrible…

Poor quality strap and terrible customer service. Bought the watch only 14 weeks ago and the clasp buckle has broken. The grub screw holding the cross bar has fallen out, now lost if it were ever even in place, and hence the buckle is now broken. I contacted Panerai customer service expecting a swiftly resolve. They have informed me that the strap and buckle are not covered by the warrantee and in order to check whether the buckle was in fact faulty I would need to send it to their service centre, for which I will incur a cost and need to insure it for transportation or to take it to one of their stockists, the nearest being a one hour drive away. When I suggested they arrange for collection at their own cost and under their own insurance this was not agreeable. I was told I could remove the buckle or strap myself and send just these elements. It is worth noting that they were happy to send the watch to me when I bought it by mail order but clearly not to collect it the same way. I am now left with the options of the inconvenience of travelling to their stockists or London showroom or having the buckle repaired at my own expense. Unbelievably poor service, cannot recommend, please avoid

The watch was faulty on the day I…

The watch was faulty on the day I purchased it, I realized the error after 2 years of owning the watch, good thing it's under warranty. Brought it back to Panerai to fix it for 5 times, but they failed, even after sending it back to the manufacturer at Swiss! Everytime I brought it back to fix the issue, there would be other issues coming up, like visible dust in the movement and dial, in addition after sending back the watch to the manufacturer in Swiss, the movement plate was full of scratches! They managed to replace the scratched plate with new one on my fifth visit, however the seconds hand problem is still not fixed! This is not the service of a luxury watch company. I get better watch and service quality from watches that cost less than $500!

Panerai Leeds.

Visited the Panerai store in Leeds, the store manager went out of his way to be helpful.
Very good customer service and a wonderful collection of beautiful watches.
Well worth a visit.

Very disappointed

Really terrible Experience with Panerai.
Bought an expensive model and was broken from day one. Returned it to the store and they want to charge a service fee to fix it!! Their website is a disaster.
I am shocked how unprofessional and unreliable they have become.
Very sad

A typical Italian scam

I bought a 12kUSD watch that keeps breaking up, at the Miami Panerai boutique they told me “ you are not the only one”, “you don’t have an idea of how many quality complains we have to deal with” “but we just sell them, it’s the other guys at the head quarter that don’t deliver quality watches. What can we do here? “
I find this disgusting. Typical Italian interpretation of leadership. I’ll sell my Panerai online as soon as they will return it to me hopefully working.

Chronically Unreliable

I purchased a Panerai watch from Watched of Switzerland in 2018. Radiomir in Stainless Steel. It has proven to be almost comically fragile and unreliable. Since new it had an extremely noisy rotor - which I was told was a "feature". The watch fell off the bed on to the carpeted floor and broke 5 months in. Over £600 to repair but my bad I suppose. There was a rattling noise a year later. Stated that it must have been me that damaged it, No choice but to repair it. Another £400. Two years later. Rotor screw loose. Repaired again. This time under warranty. Rotor screw has fallen off again and they say I must have damaged it. How do you prove you haven't? Another £440 to repair. Have given up. Watches of Switzerland completely passive in the process. No help at all. Over the past 20 years I have also had an Omega Seamaster. Worn virtually every day. It has never let me down. Would not recommend Panerai

My complaint is about both Panerai and…

My complaint is about both Panerai and the aftercare in general.

Firstly my Rad has broken at least 3 times in the past 5 years. On each occasion It has to be sent away to Switzerland for repair and I am without it for months at a time. The diagnosis from Panerai is always the same, the warranty won’t cover the repair and I have to pay up to £480 to have it fixed. I have had more issues with my rad than all other watches in my collection.

Don’t buy into the reliability and long lasting marketing as for me Panerai have been the complete opposite.

Panerai have had opportunities to put this right on many occasions, however they always refuse to do so.

I’ll never buy another Panerai again & I would urge others to look at other brands.

Additionally, your unlikely to get more than 2 years out of a strap before this also needs replaced.

Panerai, not o good experience from a company you think would excel in this industry

Being a company like panerai you think yer I’ll pay the top money for a service as it will be second to none, but OL no I had to pay £750 for a service and a polish which was a lot higher than originally quoted before hand,so I agreed to this and was dealing with a nice polite lady called Natalia in fact all the people that answer the phone are nice and polite and to an extent, now my problem ‘the service was done in good time but they also said the glass was scratched and so were the hands and wanted a lot more money for this I asked how can the hands be scratched nothing touches them and I asked why wouldn’t you polish the scratches out of the glass seeing as I was paying them £100 for a polish anyway, they said they don’t do this they charge £100 to polish the watch so anyway I paid the £750 via a bank transfer like they asked but this was 11 days ago I’ve still not received my watch back they said it would be returned to me very quickly once payment was made but I’ve rung them 4 times asking where it was and they tell me that they’ve emailed service as to where my timepiece is and what is happening and also they’ve emailed their finance department as to have they received my payment I've also sent them a copy of the transaction through email and guess what ? Still no correspondence from them, when I speak to them When I phone the customer service department they really are nice people but all they are really are just receptionists as they can’t give you any answers they have to go through to other departments to find out what’s going on they can’t call them they can only message them and wait for a reply which is totally crazy and very unprofessional of them as all I’m doing is playing a waiting game for my watch if you can get your timepiece serviced anywhere else do it as it will be quicker and cheaper and your blood pressure will remain normal I find this company to be very unprofessional in the way they do buisness I won’t be using them again they say you realise how good a company is when you’ve got a problem and how they deal with it, check out their reviews on here they have 59% 1 rating I am only giving a one rating as the ladies who answer the phone are nice and polite plus you can’t give a less rating that 1 or this company would be in the minus category this is my case as of today 17th July 2023
Will I ever get my watch back and really in what condition will it be in?
I will update this review and I will keep you all in mind

The worst Customer Service in the…

The worst Customer Service in the world.
I have given up on trying to deal with this company, despite owning one of their watches. I have tried to purchase new straps, on a number of occasions, un-successfully, due to their incompetence.
The Assistants in their Bond St Store, are highly in-efficent, un-knowledgeable, and it is like putting hot sausages in your eyes dealing with them.
Despite the attractive watches they produce, I would not recomend to anyone purchasing one, and certainly not dealing with their in store, and on line staff, who are simply unable/willing to assist.

Inexcusably Bad Service

On the 2 occasions I have needed to use PANERAI'S customer service, I have experienced unbelievably atrocious service.
For such a supposedly premium brand; their abysmal and diabolically poor service should not be allowed.
Wake up PANERAI-NOW

Very Disappointing......

My Panerai worked extremely well until I needed it to be serviced and then the problems began usually with it taking in moisture.
I was told that the seals need to be replaced every 2 years! This will cost you a minimum of £440 each time....
The straps frequently need replacing at £120 upwards, depending on which strap you choose.
Twice my watch has been serviced and the protective lug reinforcements have not put back over the lugs.
This I have been told is the easiest way for the watch to fall off your wrist, as these reinforcing bars are vital.
Lovely watch but with terrible service from a brand I would expect far more from.
In all I have spent thousands of pounds servicing and replacing parts...
