Perfect Place for Nature Lovers

Panhou Retreat was included in our tour itinerary, and although we didn't know much about the place or the area, we were excited to visit. My boyfriend and I spent two nights at the retreat and one night at a local homestay. The overall experience was unique and authentic.

The retreat has a huge garden that makes you feel like you're in the middle of a forest. On the first day, we tried the hot spring (which was free) and found it to be extremely relaxing. The meals at the retreat were decent, with both international and local options, and they even had some vegan options available which was great.

On the second day, we went on a trek with a local tour guide. The scenery was beautiful, and the locals we met along the way were friendly. Upon arriving at the local homestay, we had the opportunity to learn about their way of life and living conditions. Although the homestay was not as comfortable as the retreat, we still enjoyed the experience.

After the trekking, we needed to relax and agreed that the herbal bath at the retreat was magical! The scent was divine and it was incredibly soothing. Apparently, the retreat uses about 10 different herbs for the bath. We didn't try the massage, but it's probably just as good.

Overall, we had a great time here. If you're looking for a less touristy, authentic experience that balances outdoor activity and relaxation, this might be the perfect place for you.
