Poor communicaton

Not sure why, perhaps to their re-organizing but very poor communication. Order was acknowledge promptly but then nothing for almost 2 weeks. This was a drop shipment, but still seemed inappropriately quiet. Contacted Pantry Paratus by email and then left a phone message a day or two later. Next thing I got from them was the tracking number for the order and that's all. Glad to receive my product but poor communication. Probably would not use them again.

In hindsight, we should have returned the call instead of just emailing the tracking number your way without a verbal response for us; we thought that our email follow-up would have answered your question, and that was an assumption on our part.

Pantry Paratus was easy to shop and find the item that I was looking for. Checkout was easy and after my order was placed, they wasted no time in getting my order shipped. I received my order in good time and in good condition.

Well I let another one get underneath …

Well I let another one get underneath me. While searching for a chop rite grinder on the internet I avoided the retailers that said "out of stock". Pantry Paratus said "in stock" so I pulled the trigger and ordered it. Then here comes the email saying it is out of stock and will ship direct from manufacturer, in about 2 weeks. That was 11 days ago. We'll see what happens. One thing that did happen, my credit card was charged instantly. All this tells me they are likely one of the thousands of outfits that stock nothing, just run a slick website that looks like a retailer then ship direct from manufacturer. It worked though, they got their 1 and only sale out of me.

We are sorry for your disappointment. Although we stock nearly everything we sell, those particular grinders are cast iron and very heavy for shipping. Having them ship directly from the manufacturer is how most companies sell those particular items, so that it the shipping cost is only incurred once--from them to you. It was our error that it showed the item in stock when it wasn't, and for that we are truly sorry. We did try to communicate the backorder to you and your refund was within the half-hour of your request. The item is back in stock within the week, so we are sure you'll find it from another retailer soon.

Shipping snafu

I recently ordered during special sale. The email they sent to confirm my order was correct and I anxiously awaited my goodies. When I received my bag and opened it, it was not my order. When I emailed and questioned it, they quickly emailed back and explained that my order and another's was mixed up by the shipping computer program and the spices I ordered were no longer available as they were discontinued. Those were the things I wanted the most! They expedited the rest of my items that were still available and told me to keep the spices that they had incorrectly sent. That was nice, but I have no use for them! They did refund the money for the unavailable items. I must say, I have ordered from this company before and had excellent service so I hope this was a one time problem.
