Bought many sleeves from Paper & Word, some for myself and some as gifts. Always had very prompt dispatch (usually within 24 hours!) and last time I realised I needed two rather than one. Abby responded to my email within the hour and sent me an invoice with the updated amount quickly and they were both dispatched the same day. Always excellent service. Thank you!

The most beautiful and well made book sleeves on the market! You can tell how much love and care goes into every single product. I have three sleeves now and I couldn't be without them! I know my books will be well protected on my upcoming Christmas trip this month 🎄📚

I’ve been buying from Paper and Word for over a year now, and I am always blown away with how gorgeous and well made their sleeves are. I mainly buy the E-reader sleeves as I read predominantly on my Kindle, and the fold over flap to keep my device safe and secure is genius! The owner, Abby, is absolutely lovely and you can really tell how much love and care goes into her products. I’ve seen some reviews complaining about dispatch times (which they are very transparent about), but I think it’s important to remember Paper and Word is a very small business, and the sleeves are handmade to order. The sleeves are 100% worth the wait, and I can’t wait to add even more to my (already enormous) collection!

Love this small business! A treasure trove of gift ideas! Absolutely love our laptop sleeve. It brightens up my desk and handbag! Its hand sewn beautifully. Abby and her team went above and beyond to ensure it arrived on time and updated me throughout. Highly recommend this business to anyone.

Excellent as always. The book sleeves are incredible and beautifully made. Once you start buying it’s hard to stop as they are so useful. What people seem to miss though is that shipping times are very clearly stated and because it’s a small business your order will take time to arrive. Also owner is always very helpful and always happy to help. Supporting small businesses is so important and this one is definitely worth supporting.

She is a small business machine! Always seeking out the best bookish/cosy merch and a stream of incredible sleeve designs. Having seen her process as a member of the Secret Society (join if you can!) - she really does go above and beyond to ensure high quality and beautiful products. From cosy gamers to kindle girlies...everyone is provided for.
Everything is shipped in a timely manner, she keeps me updated if any issues and is always the first to let me know my options.

Ordered an item as a gift, paid additional for gift wrapping because I thought it would be a nice touch and happy to support small business. However after 6 days Abby, the "founder" told me the item I had ordered was in fact out of stock. Abby said I can get either a refund or a different one. I let Abby know that this was disappointing to hear, especially after 6 days, and requested a different one instead of a refund asking caveat if there was something that could be done to compensate / gesture of goodwill. I was then refuted and told that it is apparently clear that dispatch takes up to 10 days (I'm sure it does if you actually have the item to dispatch!) and that the only options were to refund or exchange for a different one. But alas, its okay, as if the person I bought it for didn't like the different one they can always return it provided it was "unused"! After that response I gave up and requested a refund letting Abby know those options werent satisfactory to me and i wouldn't be ordering again. Abby then proceeded to say they provided solutions and it was my fault that I found them unsatisfactory and that I should be nicer to small business. They have a warped idea that because they are small, customers should not expect good service. Strange because I know many small businesses that would disagree. I would encourage anyone to avoid purchasing from this company. Remember, it might take them a week to work out if they even have your item or not! Also worth noting in a previous response to a review about shipping times, Abby responded saying "Our timescales are as they are because each and every sleeve is made by hand by our very small team." Clearly this is in fact not the case.

I have been a Huge Fan of Paper & Word for a Fair Number of Years now ever since a Friend Introduced me to these sleeves and Designs and I knew from that One Moment that I was going to be a Repeat customer and I have been my Collection has grown over the years and now sits in double digits. Each Sleeve is beautifully made, you can see the Care and quality that goes into each one with every attention to detail looked after. They are super squishy that they protect my books and Kindle so well – I would be lost without them protecting my Books!

On the Design front they are always so gorgeous – I struggle so much with picking the designs to order as honestly, I would over them all if I could and if I had the room for them but as I don’t I have to show some restraint and make some difficult decisions as to which one to pick up! I genuinely look forward to the end of the month to see what designs will be on offer in the next drop!

The Fact that Paper & Word is a Small Business means a lot to me that I’m able to support them, every time I have had to get in touch with the team has been great, you can tell that they care about their customers, and I just love how sustainable they are trying to be.

I think that the Comments about Shipping are a little unfair, The Team is always open and honest about Delivery times with it shown on the Checkout page an estimated Delivery date. everything they make is made in house. I personally have no problem in waiting for my order to arrive as I know that it’s a Luxurious high-quality product and is always without fail worth the wait and when it does its always an exciting experience.

Would Highly Highly Recommend Paper & Word to all my Friends and Family and I know that I will continue to be purchasing their products for a very long time to come!

I bought my book cosy a few years ago now and it’s been the best bookish purchase I’ve made. My books used to get so crushed and damaged in my bag but I’ve never had that issue since I got myself one so please if you love to take a god book around with you then I highly recommend!

Love love love my beautiful sleeve! I was upset that my favourite graphic novel was getting damaged in my bag (paperback but big and chunky) and now I can carry it round safely and soundly :) it came nice and quickly too considering it's totally handmade to such a high quality <3

I started off with one Paper and Word sleeve, but they are so fantastic that I now far more than I need (but they are too beautiful to resist!)

You can tell the sleeves are made with so much care and attention to detail. They are stitched to perfection and are so squishy that they protect my books and Kindle so well. I used to be worried about putting books in my bag in case they got damaged, but now I love carrying my Paper and Word sleeve with me, knowing they’ll be super protected.

The designs are also gorgeous, and the hardest part is choosing which one (or three!) to purchase. I love that they come in multiple sizes and each collection has something for everyone. I genuinely look forward to the end of the month to see what designs will be on offer in the next drop!

I also love supporting such a lovely small business. Every interaction I’ve had with the company has been great - you can tell they really care about their customers. I love their ethos and how they are as sustainable as possible and support other small businesses, especially female-led ones.

I’ve seen a few negative comments about shipping, and I think this is quite unfair, especially as the brand is very transparent about how they make everything in house and are a small team of 5, and are honest about how long you should expect production and shipping to take. I personally don’t mind waiting a week or two for such a luxurious, sustainable product and would wait a month if I had to (yes they’re that good!)

Would definitely recommend this lovely company and will continue buying their products for a long, long time!

I have been buying (or receiving) paper and word sleeves since the summer of 2020, so clearly I am a fan. Unfortunately since moving outside the UK I cannot afford them (the shipping is not the only problem, it's the import fee that means you're paying for shipping x2 at least), so that is something quite unfortunate because with the amount of compliments I get for the sleeves I would 100% buy them as gifts all the time. I have way more than I need (you really don't need more than a few sleeves, even if you are a book obsessive) but think about how many people have 0 and would love this unique gift idea? I have of course bought my fair share for friends and family while I was still living in England. I hope something changes with regards to EU customers and that I can go back to occasionally splurging on them. They really do make me happy.

note: I saw someone's review about problematic shipping, and I will say that is indeed an issue I experienced (whilst still in the UK). More often than not you order the sleeve and by the time it arrives to you it could even be a month later. Of course this also depends on the shipping method, but it would be great if the process was a bit sped up. This and the price point/shipping to EU issue is why I am giving the company 4 stars, otherwise I have no complaints, and Abby is such a lovely person and the customer communication is 10/10.

I’ve been a repeat customer of Paper and Word for a while now and they just get it spot on every time! Their sleeves are made by hand of the highest quality, with the most beautiful designs and fabric. Nothing about their brand feels rushed or cheap, you can see the care that has gone into each product. The team are fantastic and always happy to help and are always transparent. I love the new collection drops each month, it keeps things exciting and fresh.

I'd been looking for ages for a sleeve that will keep my books safe and doesn't feel cheap or tacky and came across Paper and Word! The designs are so cool and they all feel so soft and cushioned. I really like that each new collection drop releases designs that will suit different types of tastes, there's always one I really want to get! 10/10 would recommend if you're looking for a cute book sleeve! 🩷

Paper and Word book sleeves are beautiful products. They are really well made, and have a luxurious look and feel to them. I also love the companies ethos and team green credentials - planting a tree for every order and eco-friendly packaging. The Kindle case could have been made just a couple of mm bigger as it is a bit snug, but that's me being pernickety. Where this company falls down though at the moment is their shipping process. Whilst they are open on their website and FAQs that it could take 7-10 days for your order to be shipped (which in my view is ridiculous in this day and age but here we are), having to wait 19 days for your order to arrive is shocking. I appreciate they are a small company, and whilst their social media and marketing is really well done, and their customer communication is top notch too, I really think they need to fine-tune their shipping experience for their customers. Great product, great online presence, really poor shipping process. If they improved this, I would certainly be a repeat customer and order many more book sleeves as gifts for friends and family, but until this has been sorted, sadly I won't be ordering any more.

If you want high quality sleeves with gorgeous designs, then this small company is perfect. I absolutely love my switch sleeve! Circumstances out of the business’s control meant that it took a little longer for my sleeve to be delivered, but they communicated everything clearly and quickly so it wasn’t an issue at all. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful handmade book sleeves. They are extremely well padded to keep your favourite reads well protected. This and their fab customer service are just two of the many reasons I continue to shop from them. Can't recommend enough!

I absolutely LOVE everything about Paper and Word.

The booksleeves are absolutely stunning, excellent quality and you can see the care and attention to detail that has gone into making them. They look even better in person than online. My only complaint is that they are so good I can't stop buying them!

I also love the hand poured soy wax candles! Gorgeous scents that are strong enough to fill a large space without being overpowering.

I love that by purchasing from Paper and Word I'm supporting a small business but also a business that strives to be as ethical as possible. I love that a tree is planted with every order and that the packaging etc is all environmentally friendly.

Paper and Word also supports other small businesses with a focus on female led business.

All in all, it's a win win! Highly recommend to anyone 💜

I have ordered 5 sleeves in total. All beautiful, well made and they look as they did in the photos. A couple were gifts and the recipients were very pleased! I’ve had many comments on how nice the sleeves are. Also ordered some candles and they are great too. Quick and easy to order, speedy delivery.
