Needs some improvements
I love Paramount Charter Academy and what it use to stand for, but over the last two years it has gone down considerably! I would love to see Paramount return to it's glory

The previous principal was bad, the current one is worse. Teacher turnover is increasing. There are openings in the school because parents are pulling their kids out.

My sister moved here from Louisiana and she had a hard time adjusting to all the new changes here in Michigan. Once she stepped foot in Paramount Charter Academy, she felt like she was already a part of the family and she felt like she belonged there.
Also, she had to take some time off from school and when she returned the staff, teachers and students welcomed her with open arms and helped her get back on track with her academic assignments. I feel extremely blessed to have her at Paramount Charter Academy, where she can shine through her academics and talents.
I would recommend this school because it is a great learning atmosphere.

Paramount is a wonderful school that teaches our children not only the typical school subjects but also about respect, integrity, and other important character building attitudes. They do not tolerate bullying and teachers and staff are easy to speak to and discuss problems with. My child has gone to Paramount since kindergarten and will continue through the 8th grade. I would recommend this school to anyone.
My son has never thrived more. The staff and faculty at Paramount Charter are dedicated and amazing. I get daily texts about my son, so it is easy to check in on his progress. I am the first to know what has been going on at school, instead of the last.
Because they are smaller they have more time to give to each student. Their moral focus program has made a difference in my grandson's behavior in just 3 months. I am so impressed with this school, that I will be sending my granddaughter here for kindergarten. My only concern is that I wish they had more teachers for grades 6th 7th and 8th. Also, their notification process of school events to parents need to be updated, Currently, the emails will come the same day of the event or only a day before. This process does not allow for any kind of pre- planning. Therefore, a lot of events are missed, due to not having enough time to find a baby sitter for my other kids. However, I do recommend this school........... It will not disappoint!
I will discuss it with the Pincipal and the middle mchool Dean directly on Monday.

I love the staff and school. The teachers have been able to keep my daughter challenged since she is above her grade level academically. I love the concept of the Moral Focus and also the Economics in the classroom.
In the 2 years our son has attended Paramount Charter Academy, we have seen tremendous growth academically and socially. He began reading chapter books by himself within the first few months of 1st grade. There is much more than just an academic education available at Paramount!
I LIKE THE WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS ABOUT ACTIVITIES HAPPENING IN THE SCHOOL. I ALSO LIKE THE FACT THAT MY KINDERGARTNER WAKES UP DAILY(EVEN ON WEEKENDS) EAGER TO GO TO SCHOOL. THE MORAL FOCUS' THE SCHOOL TEACHES MY CHILD ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AND HELPFUL. I WANT HER TO LEARN HER ARITHMETIC, ETC. SKILLS BUT LIFE SKILLS ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT.
Paramount is a good school but needs to make some improvements. My problem is the IEP and 504 individuals. Excuses are made for their behavior. Situations that need them to be severely disciplined get padded. Meaning they end up with a slap on the hand per say. My son has a 504 plan and there are no excuses made for any of his behavior but the others seem to get coddled. That is pretty much my complaint.
I love the growth I have seen in my child. He's very well taken care of here. The love his teachers and aides have for him is evident.
I am very pleased with the involvement of the teachers and staff. My student is challenged in all subjects and everyone I come in contact with is very responsive and caring. I am VERY happy with PCA!
