Style over substance

I'm 61 years old and a die hard Trekkie, grew up with it stuck through the movies and newer TV series ,gave up on discovery after season 3 only lasted 5 episodes of strange new worlds.
I'm on the annual deal and renewal ,only watched literally a handful of things other than trek and was waiting for the new starfleet academy to make my final decision on the service.

Well decision made renewal cancelled .
Starfleet academy is so woke ,pc and ruled by focus groups it's sickening.
Include everyone ,upset nobody ,if that's the new direction for paramount under Sundance then fair enough it's their money but they won't be getting any more of mine.

Apart from being woke it's simply crap it makes acolyte look good and that takes some doing.

If Sundance by some chance win the battle for WBD then discovery be getting cancelled as well

might be good if they let you sign up!

Would like to give more than one star but as i can't start a subscription due to them keep blocking the payment I have no idea what the service is like. I've checked with my bank as they told me to and the payments are fine, they are being blocked by Paramount, maybe its because they have an offer on and they are trying to push people outside of the offer window.

The service is garbage - get a refund, I did.

Dreadful. Glitches, skips, freezes, resumes with no sound, or with subtitles from the wrong episode/another show... an unbelievable mess.

Every single evening that I have watched I have had to turn my TV off and on again at the wall at least once to reboot. I have never watched a single TV show episode or movie without at least one glitch. The worst was one evening where I had to reboot the TV THREE TIMES.

I have just complained to Paramount Plus' appalling 'customer service' and got a full refund. She also nonchalantly acknowledged that it will takes 'weeks' to resolve this issue.

They don't tell you that when you sign up.

1/5 Stars: Paramount Plus Is a Pricey, Glitchy Mess

1/5 Stars: Paramount Plus Is a Pricey, Glitchy Mess Driven by Poor Corporate Decisions
I signed up for Paramount Plus expecting a premium streaming experience worthy of its price tag, and what I got was a costly, glitch-ridden disappointment that constantly reminds me the service is being run by people who don't respect their audience or their talent.
The Corporate Interference is Disgusting
The most infuriating part is the continuous corporate meddling. The controversial cancellation of hugely popular shows and the public perception of high-profile personalities being sidelined or silenced is a massive slap in the face to subscribers. When a streaming service starts making major, seemingly politically motivated decisions that affect beloved, popular presenters and creators, it tells you everything you need to know about where their priorities lie. I'm paying a premium to see talented people treated shabbily and key content disappearing or being edited for opaque reasons.
The "Rubbish Shows" Are Only Half the Problem
Even ignoring the corporate drama, the content library is severely underwhelming. It’s thin, feels padded with B-list filler, and what few desirable exclusives they have are often not enough to justify the monthly fee. But the real insult comes from the technical side—this app is, bar none, the absolute worst streaming interface I have ever used. It constantly lags, crashes mid-episode, fast-forwarding is a gamble, and the picture quality frequently stutters. When you are shelling out serious cash for the ad-free tier, and the app still manages to crash or glitch out on you, you realize you're paying too much for broken rubbish.
Conclusion: Overpriced and Under-delivered
Paramount Plus is overpriced, understocked, and delivered via an unstable app. Add in the frustrating controversies over content censorship and popular presenters being booted, and you have a streaming service that needs a complete overhaul or, frankly, to be taken off the market. Save your money and buy a streaming service that respects its users' time, money, and viewing choices.

Worst subscription service going

Worst subscription service going, half the stuff is either unplayable or just plain unwatchable, but never fear, their tech people are working on it… been doing that since it started and still cannot resolve anything… constantly try to blame your equipment, restart your router, remove the app and reinstall it, reboot your tv… none of it cures a thing, until they accept the problem is with their systems they will never cure the problem…
Date of experience, well, ever since we opened a subscription months ago, going to leave them, hopefully if enough people walk away they will go the way of the Dodo.
