As a Liverpudlian, I think Liverpool is such a kind friendly helpful mix of people. Until I got 2 JLA, going through security no 1 was smiling or welcoming. Had to get my case checked by sum horrible... See more

As a private hire operator
As a private hire operator, I have noticed that this year it is taking significantly longer for passengers to retrieve their bags
Upwards from 45 to 60 mins these days … used to be 30 to 35 .
Hope this is just a blip and not a result of jet2 putting more workload without suitable added resource
Liverpool airport you suck…..and badly!!
The post code given for car parking is a joke to find. According to in car satnav and a phone, the car park was through an exit off the roundabout marked no entry!!
Not sure where to go after that we try another exit and end up doing a loop to get back to the roundabout……confronted by a barrier……cost us £5 to get out.
Eventually we got parked in the long stay…..which IS NOT where the supplied post code would take you.
Somebody get a grip and get it sorted.
Then you get into the airport…..need plastic bags to put liquids in?? (You probably do)……will cost you £1 for two grip edge plastic bags. Not the amount of money……it’s the principal. Airport will buy in bulk for pennies…..so they make a killing on the bags.
Start looking at the boards for flight information…….the boards at gates 1-10 display different times to the boards at gates 11-17 for the same flight. Had to get airport staff to ring the control room to verify which was correct.
This is 2024…..why are they not on the same network and all displaying the same information?? Airport staff admit to errors on the boards…..engineers are working on it etc, etc, etc.
Getting to security……be prepared to walk 600 yards to go 30 yards because of the back and forth between rope barriers while you’re treated like a battery hen. Duck under the rope (as I did…..I’m not a battery hen!!) and get told by some jobsworth not to “duck under the ropes….walk round like everybody else”. How about you do your job properly and look after your customers by opening gaps in the middle….. bearing in mind this was just after 5am and quiet!!
The best thing about Liverpool airport was actually getting on a plane (to be honest, any old airworthy crate with wings would have done) and flying out of there.
Liverpool airport, you suck…..and badly!!
Horrible airport
Horrible airport, has the ambiance akin to prisoners awaiting their prison uniforms before going to the cells. Dont recognise or aid people with disabilities. Staff are unfriendly and rude. Baggage took one hour and was placed with another 3 flights baggage. Parking apalling. Last time we use this airport.
Great airport
Long wait in a restaurant for breakfast. Staff shortages I assume. Everything else was great. No waiting at all.
Liquids in a bag but was told the bag…
Liquids in a bag but was told the bag was to big the man was very abrupt I told him that it was the bag I used coming from Dublin and he just dismissed it
If possible I would never use this airport again
Airport lounge
We bought airport lounge passes via revolut. Upon arrival l, we were told that we could not go in without pressure booking, however, the tickets didn't need to be pre-booked. The reasoning was that they were too busy! Which would be reasonable if the lounge wasn't empty! Even after walking past an hour and half later, it was still empty.
Disgraceful airport.no wheelchair…
Disgraceful airport.no wheelchair assistance provided. Left to struggle and when we get through, they are sat there playing on their phones ! Rudest staff ever encountered
Graham from the cleaning section saved the day!! 🙂…
I would like to give a massive thank you to Graham who works in the cleaning section. He went above and beyond out of his way to help me, thank you so much Graham 😊 I hope this message gets to Graham.
Very slow and disorganised for…
Very slow and disorganised for wheelchair assistance , I had to push my wife in the wheelchair while she had to push our large suitcases whilst seated in the wheelchair , , not very keen to travel from my local airport Liverpool I’m a PROUD SCOUSER ,
Had an amazing time at the arcade
Had an amazing time at the arcade, one of their staff members lizzy was really nice and welcoming. Great hour or so before we left thanks !!
Suspicious behaviour
My father's laptop was put through security as he is wheelchair assisted and when his bag was returned the laptop was missing. It mysteriously turned up in lost property and they said no problem let us know when he is returning it will be here.Tried for days to contact them sent 7 emails and rang out of hrs number but have been completely ghosted.Whats it all about.
Drop off and collection rip off
We arranged for a reputable local taxi to pick us up at 1.30 am. The taxi had to park over a quarter of a mile away to avoid a £5.00 parking charge. As it was raining we got very wet. On the way out we paid £5.00 so that a friend could drop us close to arrivals but it was still a walk with no cover. The whole set up is a total rip off and the airport management and city council should be ashamed that the majority of these reviews are one star. Not a good advert for the city.
best airport in the uk
best airport in the uk. the only fault i can find is the price for pick ups. otherwise, ive always been very impressed with the day to day running of the airport itself.
Excessive parking charges.
Parked for 20 mins to pick up granddaughter.
Got charged £8.00.
Bit of a rip off I think..
The main checkin and arrivals hall needs a good spring clean and a lick of paint ..if you look up it's weathered and dull.
Not enough toilets in that area either..
Liverpool Airport Parking - Locked Terminal Door
Liverpool Airport advertise Fast Track Parking as "ultra-convenience and exclusivity! A guaranteed space and a covered walkway that leads you to your own Terminal Entrance" but what they don’t tell you is that the “special terminal entrance” is locked each evening at a time when inbound aircraft are still arriving with passengers who expect it to still be open.
The problem I’m told is that security are instructed to lock the door when the last departing flight check in has closed. I’ve looked at two days inbound and outbound flight schedules (today and yesterday) and according to my calculations there are 21 flights (circa 3000 people) that are likely to arrive on flights that are too late to use the “special terminal entrance” during that 2 day period.
I recognize that not everyone will have paid for Fast Track Parking but I’m quite sure that those who have will not have been notified of any time restrictions for using the “special entrance”.
I felt particularly annoyed for a wheelchair user who was looking after the luggage while his wife went looking for a member of staff to open the door. I’m a pensioner with limitations but at least I can still walk back and go round the outside of the terminal building however I wouldn’t need to if the Airport had been clear about its restrictive policy when I was making the booking.
I wrote to Liverpool Airport more than a week ago asking for a full refund of my parking fees but received a negative response together with an explanation that the door was locked at a time dictated by security policy which is not shared with customers at the time of booking.
I have asked for my concerns to be escalated to Liverpool Airport CEO and would ask others to support my efforts to encourage Liverpool Airport to keep the access doors open until “close of business” or provide full refunds to all customers who are impacted by this poorly thought through security solution.
It's wrong to advertise access via a "special entrance" if that entrance is going to be locked during normal hours of airport operation.
I wonder what the real John Lennon…
I wonder what the real John Lennon would make of your scummy scam.
4am in the morning, dark, rainy, lost.I stop for 15 seconds and get scammed for £60 by your parking cameras in a turnoff with no one around, in a remote part of your complex.
You will never see me using any of your amenities or partners associated with you ever again….
Security issue with laptop
Security issue; my laptop disappeared and came back scratched. I didn't think it was my laptop as looked so bad. The process for a complaint was unacceptable and unsympathetic. The security was not that busy, so I have no idea where and what happened to my laptop as it disappeared from view a few times. Personally, it was very stressful as that laptop contains all my work, not to mention a replacement laptop costs £1,500. Not acceptable behaviour.
A breeze of an airport to travel…
A breeze of an airport to travel through. Travelled to Netherlands 2 December 2023, security wait was 5 minutes if that. Had time for a nice Starbucks before heading gate. All on time. The airport was getting some refurbishment of catering and shops whilst we were there. Toilets could have been cleaner. Overall though it’s stress free, particularly when compared to T1 at Manchester. Would always choose to fly Liverpool as beats its neighbour on every count.
