The POS app won't let you uninstall it, it leaves links in directories that are almost impossible to find
DO NOT install it it is a bad program for hosting as well, use any other alternative

Parsec does not remember the passwords. SHIT program, fails all the time, not reliable.

Imagine having a program that never worked, never works and fix after fix new random crazy nonsense problems... frankly the most embarassing software ive seen so far

Constant connection problems, no support, just "read this guide" that don't help for shit....

Honestly I've used this so much it's been fantastic over the years. Would recommend over so many other similar programs.
I believe a lot of the reviews are based on the users horrible computer or internet rather than parsec itself. I literally have never had issues unless my internet was slow or laggy.

I just reset the password and I still cannot log in into the account.

Impossible to recover a password nor to log in on the app.

I have a clunky gaming PC that's been sat collecting dust for years because I can only have it in my office but when I have time to pay games I'm usually in another room.

I've installed parsec, have my pc in a cupboard plugged directly into my router and I'm connecting using an old MacBook pro and controlling with an Xbox controller.

I genuinely can't believe the performance, feels like I'm running it directly on my Mac, only without the heat and fan noise I'd expect. I'm playing racing games and not experiencing any noticeable lag. I also did nothing to setup the controller within parsec, it's just instantly worked which makes no sense to me but very happy that's the case.

Unbelievable that this is free, thank you for breathing life info my PC which up to this point has been a huge waste of money!

I've tried steam link and other remote play software plus Xbox remote play but they've all been unreliable and when your system gets a random popup there's no way of clearing it. With this I have full control of the system.

My next test will be doing remote video editing from a cafe! I doubt the internet connection will be good enough but excited to find out!

Again, to the people who made this and the marketing people who decided to make it free for individuals, thank you so so much! I've had a few great evenings of seemless gaming fun.

What on earth is this piece of sh**. I mean, come on, dude! When I try to play with my friend to Moving Out, a gamy which by the way DOES NOT HAVE ONLINE MULTIPLAYER, it goes slow and lagged due to connection issues. Also, the keybinds are shit, they fail constantly even using both of us different keyboard sides. It pisses me off so bad the constantly connection issues and the accessibility, 0/5, I've put 1 star becuase I can't put less.

What an absolute pile of crap this software is. It fails to connect most of the time. When it does work, its video lag is appaling, then it will crash. I have given up with it. Its shocking.

With the same login you can use it on multiple computers, and directly on the web on web.parsec.app

I have my computer turning on automatically everyday at 8:30 AM as I'm away, and parsec is an authentic life saver.

okay, i love parsec. i think its a really great tool for people to use for whatever reason they need to connect to another computer. the reason im giving it a 2/5 star review is because EVERY SINGLE TIME me or any of my peers try to use parsec, we run into account issues. we spend literal HOURS trying to log in, and when we choose the "forgot password" option, we'll copy and paste a complete new password and it still doesn't log us in. we try reinstalling the app, and it still wouldn't work. if it weren't for that, i'd say parsec is at least a 4.5/5.

The software is great and the free version offers everything you need.

Yes, there have been connection issues, which have prevented me from working and I had to switch to other software quickly.
But I'm pretty sure the team is fixing these things and the software will only become better.

The reason I prefer it over the other software is because it's the fastest one I've found yet.

The speed to quality ratio is the best on the market so far. (and I've tried a lot of software)

As for support I cannot speak, because I haven't used it. But better documentation would be useful.

Incompetent support team, and a completely dysfunctional support site. For months I've been having an obscure error that is actually a very common one from the hours of research I've done across the past few days. Many people have/had it for years, but no documentation on the support site, and all posts relating to it ( error -6025 for those who are unfortunate to receive it) end with no answers, only speculation.

After submitting several tickets asking about the error and if I was mistaken about the support site having it, the support lead was kind enough to personally ignore my questions, close the tickets, and link to the exact same site that gives no answers of the error code. The support page DESIGNED to document all the error codes, possible causes, and possible fixes also doesn't have it documented, and when asked about that fact I was only linked to the support site and told to ask discord.

Don't expect any support if you're a free user. They don't keep the site updated with resources to help yourself on top of just dumping your issues on volunteers on discord. Money talks, and they for sure have their mouth where their money is.

If anyone finds any info on the causes and/or fixes for this error, please share it around. It'll do a lot better than guesswork or messaging support. My workaround that I still don't understand how it works is to let the error happen a few times, and on the device I'm trying to connect from, open up a youtube video and let it play for 15 minutes and try connecting again. Has been working so far, but it might not work for you, who knows. Parsec surely doesn't, or at the very least won't share.

Cancelled our Warp trial days after starting it as it didn't fit our needs. Removed the app from my system and didn't think about it again. Until today when I was charged for a full year as I didn't cancel my trial (which I did), Parsec insisting I did not. They can't do anything about, boohoo for you, bye to your money for a yearly subscription.

Arguing the fact that the account has not been used and the trial cancellation not sticking in their IT systems leads to the same result. Your money is now our money, see you in another year.

Too lag... and psychal device issue

Garbage customer service as they will not help your solutions, and they expect you to be their customer when, as a free user, you try their software and there are issues with it. The solution is that they don't help free users at all lol
