No refund for my deposit even though I was promised because of covid
Paid deposit to use the mirror etc for my mothers party. Covid happened so I messaged the company asking for the deposit back as the party was not going ahead because of rules at this time. They said they needed 6 months turn over due to no money in the bank because of covid. Politely I said ok agreed. I messaged 6 months after 3 times to be totally ignored. They looked at my messages and I even have confirmation that they would give me a refund but they never did. Covid situation was not my fault and the party did not go ahead at all. Also mentioned my mam was ill at the time so I wouldn’t be able to move the date of the party for after covid or for the year after as I didn’t know what would happen. Avoid at all costs. I will go elsewhere in the future.
The last message I received was :
Yeah that’s fine but there is a 6-9’month wait for refunds
Due the the business being closed for over a year
We can process that once we are in a position
“Yeah absolutely
Send your details and I’ll add you to the list 🙈” (list of people they need to refund)
Still today no refund and to be ignored and I gave them over a year.
