I've had a great experience learning to drive with Karl from Patterson's Diving School. Having not driven in 2 years since my last failed test, and mainly being familiar driving around Blyth, Karl made sure I was test ready within only 4 months of lessons in Sunderland! Being a nervous driver, Karl encouraged me to be more assertive and confident on the road. Days prior to the test he was especially patient and helpful with managing my nerves. I've had a few instructors in the past, and Karl was one of the best and never failed to communicate. Never had any issues with lateness or cutting lessons short, which I've experienced with a few past instructors. If you're looking for a driving school that holds up high standards, I'd highly recommend Patterson's.

Mark is fantastic. I’ve just passed my test first try in 50 hours and I owe it to him. He’s an incredible teacher who, even in very stressful situations, is always calm and constructive. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. He’s also great fun; I was always excited for my lessons because he’s a great laugh. I couldn’t recommend a better instructor.

Mark was absolutely amazing. I had my license from Vegas and thought getting my license from the UK would not be an issue. After several failed exams without any help, I was proven wrong and sought help. Mark went out of his way to make sure I knew the routes, what was expected during my test, all while making sure to rebuild the confidence I had lost when I attempted the tests on my own. Having a knowledgable instructor teach you is paramount to passing and I would 10000/10 recommend hiring Mark every single time.

Had my lessons with Gav and passed first time! He was absolutely amazing start to finish and has the patience of a saint🤣 could not recommend him enough!

I had Mark as my driving instructor and I felt so confident in my driving. It was always such a good laugh and he never got mad or annoyed when I made mistakes (and I made a lot of them🫣). He helped me realise where I went wrong and what I needed to improve on so I was always improving in my lessons. I would definately recommend this company as I already have to many others including my sister who is now learning with mark as well. Thank you Pattersonsdrivingschool and thank you Mark!!

Mark was an incredible instructor, always patient, supportive, and calm. He made learning to drive 100 times less stressful and was consistently reliable with every lesson. Awesome school the instructors are patient and have a lot of knowledge too help all kinds of people I struggled with nervous when driving but thanks to jason and pattersons I passed today and am grateful for all the help
