Paul is truly fantastic! Our groomer recommended him for our puppy, who was struggling with grooming. Initially, we thought it was a phase, but Paul helped us realise she might be in pain. Thanks to him, we caught her health issue early and through him and his networking found an excellent local physiotherapist. Without Paul, we wouldn’t have known the cause of her struggles.

Paul uses positive reinforcement training, which works wonders. He’s been amazing training our puppy’s adolescent behaviours, and we’ve seen significant improvement quickly. His understanding of dogs is incredible, giving us confidence as first-time dog owners.

Importantly, he’s great with our puppy during one-to-one sessions; he makes training fun and our puppy is happy and relaxed around him. If you’re looking for a true professional who understands dogs, look no further! He’s gone above and beyond, and we can’t thank him enough.

I wanted to share my experience with the one-to-one training so far.
Zara is a beautiful 12-month-old Poochon, and she’s definitely not my first dog, so it came as a bit of a surprise when she began showing reactive behaviour around new people. I wouldn’t describe it as anger, but she was clearly very uncomfortable, and it started to become a real issue—especially during grooming sessions. At first, I thought she might just grow out of it, but when it began to seriously affect her grooming, I knew I needed to seek support.
Paul came highly recommended, and I’m so grateful we reached out to him. He’s been amazing. He’s helped me understand that Zara’s behaviour comes from nervousness and fear, not aggression. That shift in understanding has made such a difference—it’s given me the confidence not to feel embarrassed when she reacts, but instead to recognise that she’s asking for space and support.
Through clicker training and guidance on our walks, we’re already seeing huge improvements. After just three sessions, I’d say there’s been about an 80% improvement in both Zara’s behaviour and my own confidence. This week, I was so proud—when Zara reacted, she actually stopped herself and looked at me, waiting for guidance (and, of course, a treat!). That felt like a massive breakthrough.
We still have more sessions to go, but the progress so far has been incredible. It’s also had a really positive impact on her grooming, which is continuing to improve.
I honestly can’t recommend Paul enough. I’m really looking forward to continuing our sessions and learning more. More than anything, I just want Zara to feel happy and confident, and we’re definitely moving in the right direction.

Just finished our 6 week course with Paul and can only say what a fantastic training course for dog and owner. I have learnt so much about my dog and what makes him tick. Great course will be doing some more training with Paul great chap.

Paul was absolutely amazing with us and our dog. We just rescued Max and we’re feeling overwhelmed and wanted to make sure we were doing the best for him. Paul came in, sat down with us and not only explained a lot of the theory but also was practical in his approach and showed up so many new ways to work with Max. He was patient and kind and really worked with Max to demonstrate the techniques.
We were relaxed with Paul and Max absolutely loved him. He showed us so many fun ways to work with Max that is tailored to him and his needs and to make learning a fun experience for us and Max.
We’ve noticed such a difference in us and Max’s confidence when we go on walks now. Paul left us with a folder full of useful ways to work with Max and a 2 weeks enrichment plan tailored to his needs and breed requirements. Paul really took the time and effort to consider Max and what he needs and we could not be more grateful for his help

Paul was brilliant from the moment he walked in. He gave us excellent advice on how to help our 15 month old dog with his walking and reactivity. Paul also helped us understand how dogs can feel and gave us some excellent ideas to work with our own dog.

What a really lovely trainer and assistant, I completed the beginners class with my little Doxiepoo , Paul and his co trainer , they were really knowledgeable, helpful and gave really great tailored advice , what an improvement in.my little Dotty, would definitely recommend to others.

We went to Paul’s easy peasy puppy class and it was great! Paul is very knowledgeable about dogs and we gained some really useful training techniques from the classes.

I think it’s great value for money as well, if you’ve just got a puppy. 6 weeks of classes, with email follow ups. Just what we needed.

We’ve just completed the 6-week puppy course and couldn’t be happier with the experience! Paul was recommended to us by a friend as we were looking for puppy classes for our cockapoo! Now we recommend Paul to everyone and we can’t rate him highly enough! He’s professional, friendly and his love for dogs and what he does shines through!

He is incredibly knowledgeable and delivers great sessions whilst also maintaining a level of flexibility to support questions or issues any of the guardians may be having with their puppies! The group sessions were great and felt tailored to the breeds and needs of the dogs who were present and that was really useful!

We learnt so much about how to do what’s best for our puppy and to understand him! We would go away each week and practise what we learnt! Paul also sends out weekly emails with information and videos from the sessions, which really helps get the whole family on board, so we are all training our puppy in the same way!

Our puppy has learnt so much and we can see a real positive difference in his behaviour and most importantly, Paul has taught us so many skills and activities, with the meaning behind them, so we can meet our puppy’s needs and give him the best life possible!

Completed 6 week puppy class and it was brilliant. Explained everything in detail as to how and why the skills being taught are useful which I really liked. Friends and family have all noticed a change in our puppy since going to the classes. I would really recommend the classes, also great value for money.

Great dog trainer. Really helpful and kind. My pup really liked him. He explains everything thoroughly and after each session he follows up with emails with everything that was covered during the session. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Really good trainer & sessions. Outdoors so in real life setting. Paul is amazing with the dogs & owners! Very good at explaining the reasons behind things to help the owners & homes in on where the owners are in their training & their needs. The dogs love him!!! I found this so helpful for understanding & practical. Every session is followed up with an email & links & Paul also answers any questions quickly in the week!!! Highly recommend!!!!

We've recently completed the Puppy and then Level one classes with Paul (6 weeks for each stage). We're so pleased with Paul as a trainer, his experience and attitude is amazing. I'd throughly recommend his classes to anyone looking. There's all different breeds of dogs in the classes but there's only up to 4 in a class so it's a lovely small class size. We've signed up for level two.

We’ve just completed the 6 week programme for Level 1 training with the fabulous Paul!
We attended his 6 week puppy class before so already knew we would learn lots in an encouraging and supportive environment. Paul really knows how to break down the training and make it simple for us to follow. He explains what you are learning and why it will be super useful in ‘real life’ settings. Seeing molly sit and stay and walk gently on a loose lead was brilliant. Super proud of her, and she got a certificate and some lovely treats to celebrate. We are planning to take up the next class so that should probably say it all as recommendation.

We took our puppy on a 6 week course and Paul was amazing with her and us. We are first time dog owners so it was a big learning challenge for us too. Paul made us feel comfortable and was very engaging and our Pup, Aria, loved him and the change in her and her behaviours over the weeks are amazing. Thank you Paul! Fantastic trainer and 100% recommend.

We have just completed Paul’s ‘recall workshop’ which I booked as I liked the idea of it being in an outdoor field with ‘real life’ distractions being a possibility as it’s a public place. I was not disappointed. Paul shared a ton of knowledge which really made me look at a few things in a different light. From ‘choosies’ to how I reward and the timing of rewarding / length of the reward and he told me lots of useful stuff like how to get a ‘check in’ and how to push our training to the next level and what to do if the next level doesn’t quite work. Turns out it was me who needed most of the work and not my dog 😂 . It was a great confidence boost for myself and I’m looking forward to putting my new skills into practice.

Ps. Paul was great with Albie who is a ‘bull terrier’ . He wasn’t wary of him and absolutely let him ‘live his best life’ whilst in his company.

Paul's 6-week puppy training classes were amazing.

1. There were only three dogs in the class, which meant we received maximum attention from Paul.
2. Paul's classes start with the fundamentals of dog training, including how to determine which type of food works best as a reward. This has been invaluable in helping me reward good behavior.
3. Paul offers easy and practical advice and definitely doesn’t judge you if you make mistakes.
4. Each class is followed up with an email detailing what we covered in that session. This serves as a great reminder, especially when everything is new.
5. Paul is so down to earth and offers realistic advice because he has dogs himself. I want to be in Pauls dog walking gang !!
