Yikes - everything about this guy's "presentation" on emotional release via ancient wisdom was a sales pitch. This wanna be guru was a comedian, performer and knows how to work a crowd and manipulate emotion. I purchased tickets to a Sunday afternoon event he put on promising emotional release. My friend had seen a facebook ad and wanted to go and asked me to join her. Paul presents no new information rather "ancient wisdom" that he fails to source and credit. He presents the information and speaks in such a way that sound like this is all his information he is giving which is patently false. At the beginning of the sales pitch he said no one can record or audio record the pitch which is very interesting because he had a woman there filming the sales pitch with audio and video. 2 more times during the pitch he reiterates and asked the audience - "no one is recording right?" Throughout the sales pitch he talked himself up linking himself to other known and now discredited gurus. Go watch the documentaries about Yogi Bajan and Osho and their coercive control over their cults. Paul shared that he knew about the rapes both "gurus" perpetrated but felt if someone choose to have sex why would they complain about it later. Well Paul, by nature rape means there was no consent. CHILDREN CANNOT CONSENT. Yogi Bajan's cult had to start a victim fund for women and children raped by the yogi and choose to do so to keep lawsuits from going public and save on attorney fees because the cult knows for sure the Yogi was raping followers. Paul follows in the tradition of his "teachers" and wants to be a cult leader with adoring followers. Paul has no real credentials he aligns himself with other known figures hoping the audience will garner affinity bias and see him as famous as the people he was allegedly around. He name drops throughout the sales pitch and says Yogi Bajan wanted to be friends with him, and gosh golly gee wilikers he has no idea why but okily dokily I went along with it. Isn't is helpful that Yogi Bajan is dead so there is no way to verify this alleged friendship. Paul's self deprecation is so phony it's palatable. He knows disparaging himself is the only way to garner sympathy and hope that those around him will uplift him. Look at his IMDb profile he name drops famous names hoping the affinity bias will make you believe he's rich and famous like the people he's alleging to be near. When in reality no one knows who he is. He said over and over again - "I won 8 emmy's, I won 8 emmy's...." Not clarifying that he won 8 New England Emmy Awards for his local tv show he produced and put on. Hey that's great you did a self made kids tv show in the 90's BUT you're being deceptive knowing people will assume Emmy like the actual Emmy's we see the awards show for and not some small local award given in a small viewership area. He ends his sales pitch with a "50%" off discount for another event which is where you would actually experience emotional release via ancient traditions. Well Paul that's called bait and switch. You already promised we'd learn all about that, instead we spent 2 1/2 hours listening to you ramble on about how wonderful you are while misquoting ancient teaching and failing to provide the actual sources of the information. He keeps stating how he's won all these awards while not naming them, he doesn't name the "awards" because no one has ever heard of them, or very few would know these niche 90's, self made, cable tv awards and Paul would not elicit the awe he's striving for. Paul is not a credible nor believable speaker. Towards the beginning of the sales pitch he disparaged America for killing people in war, then later in the sale pitch after once again asking the audience that no one was recording that if you had an abortion it was a big deal because the baby is just a clump of cells---what???? So Paul is cool with baby killing but not adult killing - crazy. At the end of the sales pitch the last slide is a alleged 50% discount for more of his "wonderous" services and tarot cards and crystals he has blessed....give me money was basically the ending. And he did real in a number of people who purchased his tarot cards and "special" boxes of cards and crystals. The reason cults keep forming is because lots of people are so sweet, nice, good, kind, caring that they cannot fathom someone would be intentionally, purposefully manipulating them with emotion, with fake religion, with fake care. Looking at the spiritual teachers Paul closely aligned himself with you know he's just another man who feels poorly about himself and is clamouring to have a following trying to feel better.
